The front office lady was pretty crabby and appeared annoyed that I was bothering her. No greeting when I went to counter and was actually ignored while she was typing on the computer. I finally said hi, can you help me. She Was not friendly at all. I purposely went above and out of my way and tried being extremely nice to her just to try and get her in a good mood. Towards the end of the convo after buttering her up, she then was nice. I was made to bring out my own utility dolly from the counter area to the truck (per what she told me I had to do and with my hands already full), once I got the truck opened, there was already one in there so I hauled it back in. I have disabilities and very little strength so it was very hard for me to get it in/out. I understand people have bad or off days, but her negative attitude and rudeness wasn't appreciated. I did the best I could to hopefully cheer her up for the rest of the customers having to cross her for the rest of the day. She was snippy, clearly annoyed, and not helpful. I hope her day got better. Great location and great upkeep of equipment, but I'm not sure I would go back to this location again-or recommend it. No one wants to deal with crappy and snippy counter staff anywhere. Customer Service is not her best quality. The back of the truck was super dirty. I had to sweep it out before and after use. Super expensive. There is a uhaul place in my town but they didn't have any trucks so I had to drive over 60 miles just to use one at another location.KRISTIN N.

I had 24 hr access until the very day I opened my 2nd storage unit and they cut everyone off at 10p. It was difficult maintaining everything until I regained my 24 access again. My online account access closed and I lost ability to control my online payments. At that point I found an apartment and started the renting process again and terminated my storage services. It was a very clean facility and convenient especially in the winter months. I will utilize Uhaul storage in the future when necessary. It was a challenge when there were a few late payments and I was locked out from my unit. When they opened it it was not just them removing the additional locks from the unit but they needed to restore the passcodes. This process held me back from getting into my unit when I had moving help with me. And the after hours couldn’t help with this. I think in our day and age this is something that can be done very easily from a remote location. Thank youCorinth B. | Overall Experience
I've used uhaul many times and have never encountered such a frustrating experience.1st of all why can't I see a full copy of the registration form so I know what I signed and what my rights and recourse action are. Why do you allow a reservation to be made when you do not have the equipment to fulfill it? Why is there not more notice that you will not be honoring your part of the reservation contract? We reserved a 5x 8 trailer from a Fargo nd location but you could not fulfill that order and the best option you could give us was for me to drive 6 hours round trip to pick up a trailer. That is not an acceptable option. Because you couldn't fulfill your obligation of this reservation I believe I was to receive a $50 credit which you would not honor when I asked. In making other arrangements ON My OWN I had to reserve a larger trailer than we had originally reserved and you would not cover the difference. We were told we couldn't pick up our trailer until 4:30 Pm because someone was returning at that time.our original reservation Was for 7:00 AM we needed to have an early start to meet our deadlines. When we arrived to pick up the trailer they did not give us the trailer that had just been returned instead the pulled a trailer that had been sitting there overnight. We could have maintained our schedule of movers and motel rooms had they given us that trailer in the morning as it was obviously available. You might wonder how I know that trailer was available earlier. It had snowed the night before and it was obvious that It was 1 of 2 6x12 trailers that had not been moved since the previous day. Personnel at the Fargo location were always polite. But this overall uhaul experience was totally unacceptable.LYNETTE V.

Fuel, I received the truck and it was empty. Was told to return it where the fuel gauge is. Naturally I put extra fuel in I didn't use. Did I get a credit for this extra fuel I donated? Because if I left the fuel gauge lower then what it was I would have been charged! I also tried to lock my personal items in the box but the supplied paddle lock didn't work. I ordered a 24/7 pickup to get the truck at 6am, it showed as such on the receipt and in my account on the Uhall app. When I arrived at 6am and I went to locate the truck through the app it told me to pick it up in person at when the store opened at 9am. This put me three hours behind my moving schedule which resulted in me paying a moving crew an extra $450 to stand around for hours waiting for the contents to arrive at the right location.TRAVIS D.

This use of a U-Box has been a huge hassle. First it was put in storage instead of shipped. Then it arrived late and the company wants to charge us a second month storage. Be very specific when using the U-Box. It was a hassle setting up a delivery time when it arrived at the location for our military family.DAVID K.

The renting process online was seemingly smooth, when I upgraded the size of the unit in store, it seemed my payment wasn’t processed the 1st time, kind of annoying but not a big deal, I rented the unit towards the end of the day, so I didn’t get a chance to come back and put a lock on my unit since they close at 1, so night manager locked it (Which I appreciate the extra care) but, it took them 3 days to remove the lock from my unit for different reasons like incorrect code, no one was available to unlock it, they needed to call a locksmith, they were busy and they just simply forgot… so I didn’t have access to the unit for almost 3 full days and I had to postpone a trip out of town.Eve B. | Online Move In

From Heather's mom who drove the truck: I first turned the trailer and tow dolly into Dahl's Mini Storage. The owner had to catch a flight for a family emergency so his area manager, Scott, took over. The men I'd hired to unload the truck locked my keys in the car. Scott bullied me and essentially said that if I didn't get it done immediately, he'd take possession of my things. I even offered to pay for another day and he said "no, just get your stuff off the truck". I called corporate and the woman there heard him. She said that to help, she was going to send me to another place to drop the trailer and it didn't have to be in until Sunday so I'd have time to hire someone else. (Scott scared them off) I asked about the charge and she said there'd be none because it wasn't my fault. I was so upset and shaky that I fell out of the truck when I moved it elsewhere. I was hurt and 911 had to send help. I'm still in excruciating pain. I was bawling while emergency services helped me. I've never been so upset. This is like a bad nightmare. I turned the trailer in a day early and received a bill of over $250 the next day. We already paid almost $200 over the original cost at Dahl's (and almost $80 for a storage bldg) and this shouldn't have cost anything. I've never had anything like this happen with UHaul. You're usually professional. I'm shocked and angry. The Uhaul place on 13th Street is the total opposite of Dahl's. They're kind and helpful.nancy m. | First Impressions

Everything went really, really well until I went to try to get into Bay 3/4. I wasn't told that the bay doors were locked and I didn't know how to get in. I went back to the office but no one was there to help (busy smoking out front) so I watched the monitor to see what other people were doing and I figured it out on my own. I would have preferred someone explaining it to me correctly the first time.....that I needed to enter my code twice in two different spots to get in.
