The staff is very friendly. The gentleman that took care of my initial pickup was awesome. He has great customer service skills. He made sure as I waited that he kept me informed of why I had to wait and I appreciate that, great job sir. The checkout process wa s quick and easy and although I question my final charges the young lady did not sass me or become rude she was very eager to help and make sure that I understood. JASON SI started to drive the truck and the passenger mirror would not stay in place. I stopped at a store which was inconvenient for me to buy Allen wrenchins to tighten it it didn't work. I bought bungee cords and that helped. I called to tell them that I would rather leave the truck at my destination and get a ride home. They said that truck is not a drop off truck so I drove the truck with a mirror that was dangerous to change lanes. I did not get a sorry or some type of credit and I was very disappointed with that

ESTELLITA BI fought with his U-Haul for over 10 months to get this thing removed out of my name and I continuously was harassed and sent demands for payment of goods. There were to be sold at auction when the storage unit was left empty and the previous general manager a white female whose name I can’t recall at this moment not Wendell, was made aware and said she would remove the lock and never did and I made them aware. I made U-Haul aware and I was continuously harassed. I may be seeking legal council. Just because I don’t know the legality of hunting down someone to pay for a storage unit who paid his storage unit on time all the time when I moved out.

TONY LI never dealt with Altamonte Springs as every time I called them no one answered! it always tripped over to your main number. I di however speak with several agents on the following number: +1 407 578 1344 Dorothy & Frank who ere very helpful and helped achieve results. However I did speak with an agent 4 times on 16th Dec not sure of the name? from our payment not going through? and having asked then to try it agin and it did go through to having the box delivered at 1pm. it was actually delivered at 3pm! (I had received 2 text messages stating the delivery will be there between 1pm and 1pm) Had to make several calls to the number above and this person was not helpful at all, I had to call the main customer service and make a complain and they patched me through to a number who traced the driver and advised me at 2pm that they only just picked up the box and will be with me in an hour! No one at u haul had bothered to keep me updated as I was waiting outside for over 2 hour to show where to drop the box as this was a parking controlled area and you can not leave a box anywhere! very disappointed

LELANDIA FAfter going through the extensive reservation form online, DECLINING moving dollies, blankets, boxes, and extra labor, I picked up the truck. When I got it home I realized there was a dolly and moving blankets attached to the inside side wall. There was a green "zip tie" securing them, that when cut, allows use of the tools, and allows U-Haul to charge for the use of them. Not only did I decline having them in the truck, but I did not use them as I had my own dolly and blankets. However upon returning the truck, the green zip tie was laying on the floor, and I was charged $8 for the use of the dolly. After debating back and forth with the "manager" Logan, I gave up and paid the $8. It was 100% clear to me that either the prior renter of the truck used it and put the green zip tie back in place, and /or the employee checking out the truck didn't do their job very well. But either way I was told that I should have taken pictures of the inside of the truck when I received it. Logan was very condescending, stood there with his hands in his pockets, and kept referring to the contract that I should have taken pictures of the truck. At one point I said that "either the employee didn't do their job checking out the truck, or I was lying". He just stood there, and said "I defer to the contract". It also bothers me that even though I declined the dolly and blankets, they were secured to the inside of the truck. I paid for the rental of a 20-ft truck. There have been times in the past where I needed every square inch of the truck for an extensive move. Having these things in my way would have actually prevented me from using the available space of the truck I rented. It is very clear he has no real world experience with dealing with customers, and if he is the actual "manager" of the of the location, U-Haul needs to reevaluate his position. Very condescending

Nancy MGive your customers the equipment they reserve. I needed to move a refrigerator, down some stairs out of an apartment and up some stairs into a condo. I chose U-Haul because you had a truck with a ramp and, according to your web site, an appliance dolly. My reservation was for pick up at 9:30am on Sunday, November 17. I got to your Altamonte Springs, Florida store before 9:15am and did not get out of there until after 10am. As I watched other people check in I heard them being told, "let me see if we have one available" when customers said, "I reserved a utility dolly" or "I reserved a furniture dolly." When it was my turn to check in I was told, "we don't have an appliance dolly available, let me see if we have any utility dolly's available." When I asked why the equipment I reserved 5 days earlier wasn't available the other employee checking people in, a man, said in a defiant smug tone, "we don't guarantee reservations." What is the point of a reservation then? It is pretty difficult to move a fridge with a utility dolly. It also doesn't help when you don't have any tie downs to help hold the appliance to the dolly. A utility dolly can barely support a fridge. And keeping it on the dolly is a real challenge. Especially on the truck ramp and when navigating stairs. Because of the shady way you do business it took us considerably longer than it should have to move 1 fridge, an end table, coffee table, TV and 4, 3' wide entertainment cabinets a total of less than 20 miles round trip. Also, the truck I was assigned had to have air put in the left front tire before I could get going. I didn't appreciate your team member seeming to take pride in telling me, "we don't guarantee reservations" and I didn't appreciate how I took time to plan my day around the information shared on your web site and when I stopped in your store a few days before completing my reservation on line. It is also concerning the truck assigned to me was not ready to leave the lot.
MICHAEL LWendell is very personable and helpful. Only issue with U-Haul is I moved from same locations both ways in January this year and the cost has gone up 1000 in 11 months. Now they offer ways to “save” cost off of rental by transporting ubox, to go half way across country it would have only save 700, barely the cost of gas and way more hassle. Shame on them and its crap they don not offer any savings for early return

Counter help was very polite, and the General Mgr. checked my truck back in when I returned. He walked me out to the vehicle and corrected a billing error that was made when I picked up the truck. He was efficient, professional, and very polite. I wasn't sure if I was going to use this location because of the disappointing experience I had last time I rented a truck, but I will definitely go back!

gianluca a | Overall ExperienceMoving in seemed pretty simple. But the move out process was poor. I have used u-haul for many years when I needed to move or store things. I was told on move in and out that there would be a pro rated rent for any time not used for the month. I confirmed the amount on the day we moved out, with 9 days used during that month. After 5 days, I still hadn't received any refund. I called and spoke with the manager and owner of the facility, both saying that it's not possible that I was told that. I am now being told that nothing can be done because it is a nationwide policy for no refunds and yet they are able to rent out the unit I have paid for and have no access to. I contacted corporate and initially was told that it was based on each location's discretion. The customer service representative on the phone at corporate was professional, but was unable to help on her end as the funds would have to be released from the store specifically. A few moments later being told that the policy did indeed change. As someone who has worked in customer service for many years, this company's policy has now cost them my business and anyone else's that I come in contact with. This facility and staff in particular will never be recommended.
