I used the self check in/out feature on the U-Haul app. It worked well. Easy and pretty quick process. This location was clean and organized. I received my final itemized invoice promptly. Don't change the pick up location without customer knowing. I was walking to pick up truck cause I chose to pick up 2 blocks away in shakopee. Then had to find a way to drive 2 vehicles from apple valley.

The elevator at the Apple Valley location was down for over 1 week. Something to do with a part needing to be ordered. Glad I wasn't moving in or out in any major fashion during that time other then just picking up an item or two. There was no email to advise of the potential disruption - which was a little disappointing. Otherwise, everything went as promised. Staff was great throughout our 5 month relationship!!

App wouldn’t let me upload photos when picking up the truck. Also the location of the truck was in such a manner that the photos it wanted couldn’t be gotten without moving the truck to an empty parking lot. There was no way to get a photo of that drivers side as it was about a foot from the truck parked next to it. When returning I was able to upload the photos so the app was inconsistent. I gave the app permission for my camera so that wasn’t the issue. The truck had a quarter tank (photo and video taken before leaving location for proof should this become an issue later) was able to speak with staff inside and they were outstanding. Super friendly super helpful

I was charged a change location drop off fee that I was not made aware of or approved. The gentleman that assisted me told me I was good upon my visit to confirm they received equipment in good order/repair.Pickup location was having computer issues and knew that I was using a location less than 10 miles from my residence for drop off but to confirm drop off which I did. I use U-haul for all my moving needs and this is the first instance of occurrence. I contacted U-haul for dispute resolution without any contact or correspondence from U-haul. I have disputed charge with my bank. Respectfully request a reversal of this charge. Thank you

Your dropoff app needs work, my initial use yielded no clear instructions on the photo of fuel and mileage. I dropped off the keys, then went through the dropoff step again, this time with the instructions to photo those things, too late to do so. By the way, personnel weren't unhelpful, they were simply not around. This page will not submit with that box blank.

After getting the run around from Budget, I went to this U-Haul location and was able to get what I needed. The truck had many miles on it but I have to say it ran very well. I have to imagine their garage is very well managed.

The van was a blessing to have and a service I would use again. The process was a bit confusing with some details told after the fact, but not unreasonable. I like to know the full costs and process, and I felt I didn’t know this. Everything was reasonable, just not always upfront when you reserve. An employee after hours was wonderful and helped even though you were closed.

Apple Valley U-Haul is, and always has been, a great place. We've rented trucks, vans, and trailers from them, and the staff has always been courteous and professional. The equipment is also well maintained. Regardless of the distance to your location, Apple Valley is worth the trek.

Employee that took my reservation, gave me incorrect information regarding costs. I was told that there was a per mile of of around .99/mile and it dropped to a lower rate, (.62/mile) if i had more than 100 miles. I asked for a receipt outlining that information and was instructed that the printer did not work. An e-mail receipt was sent to the my work e-mail address. When I returned the truck the per mile rate was 1.29/mile, which is what was on the e-mail sent to my work e-mail. My fault for not checking my e-mail in box at work and trustung that I was getting accurate information. U-Hauls fault for not providing accurate information to being with. I anticipated a cost of around 100.00 and it was closer to 180.00. Also the passenger side windhsheild visor was broken and would not stay in place. It simply hung down and partially blocked the view of the pasenger side of the vehicle. Poor performance at best and not pleased. When I expressed my concerns when returning the truck i was rather forthright with some bad lanquage and the employee did not care about my getting incorrect information.

The first trailer that was hooked up, the left blinker didn’t work. Then they hooked up a second trailer and as I drove down the road it was so loud and bumpy. As I entered the highway and got up to 55 the whole trailer was shaking and made my vehicle shake as well. Had to return for a third attempt at a working trailer.

Only issue, we rented a 15’ truck for a day the guy at the counter said the truck had 3/4 fuel and to return it at 3/4. My mistake was I got half way to my destination and realized the fuel was below half not 3/4. As I j filled it before I returned it to make sure I didn’t get stuck with the fuel charge but it cost me 110$ for 73 miles of use

The trailer lights did not work. I was stopped by the police for faulty trailer lights. Had to drive one hour in the dark with my hazard lights flashing in order to get home. Normally I have good luck with Uhaul trailers rented.

Just wanted to say the customer service was great. Although I did not need a dropbox for keys, I noticed a lot of folks who were dropping off trucks were looking for it. Perhaps look into whether there is a clearly marked dropbox for keys. However, my experience was fantastic.

We drove 45 minutes to pick up 6x12 foot trailer with confirmed reservation and as we were standing in line to pick up I got a text message that our trailer reservation had been delayed then when I got to the counter they said they didn’t have a trailer for us. we had to turn around and go home at 1.5 hour round-trip then come back two hours later to pick up a trailer when it was finally available to be fair all else in regards to service and product was very good. Excellent..

I would only criticize the app. There were a lot of issues loading. Due to issues with our first truck/engine light came on when we were only one block away, we had to come back for a different truck. I was unable to get the app to open for the new link, so had to take photos on my phone and text to the manager. He did not get back to me to let me know if he got them unfortunately. I still have them saved on my phone if needed.

They were the worst movers I've ever seen. They took twice as long as they should have one of the guys had no idea what he was to do. He broke my very expensive recliner and dropped on small sofa top down to the ground and dropped my expensive dresser on the wall that broke a handle and a light switch cover and scratched the wall. Never a would I recommend this company.

Mark at the Apple Valley location was phenomenal. There was some confusion about us getting a POD delivered there to put items into a storage unit. The PODS delivery truck was already there and Mark was able to scramble and make it work for us. He truly went above and beyond, helping us out. I cannot thank him enough. I rented a U-Haul big truck that matched the size of the storage u it ,one way rental , and was told I would get a FREE month of storage but when I went to claim my free month they told me that it needs to be “forward credit” and they can’t give me a “back credit”. I had the storage unit for 4 months , why can’t I get a credit for a month????? Total scam, false advertising, bait and switch. Just want my free month as I was promised.

The shift manager was excellent. We had a full truck load to store our home belongings. At first we had an inside room that said street level. When we realized it was not steer level he changed us to outside. He went above and beyond to help us. Wonderful service. I would highly recommend his customer care.

I've never had such a great experience with a storage facility. Each of the staff members was helpful, knowledgeable, and I always felt like my move was the most important to them when I needed help. Your rates continue to increase, I moved out of my unit early and the rent was NOT prorated back to me. My payment was due in the 2nd of the month and when I went online to pay it on the 2nd you always showed me as past due?? Why are there no partial month refunds. Great for you to get paid double rent when someone moves out early!!

The storage unit was very well maintained and secure. However, the rental cost was ridiculous. It went up over !00% during the course of my rental. Some of the staff need to work on their social skills. Very rude and unprofessional. I gave the staff my extra key to my lock for safe keeping should I lose my primary key. When i checked out, they had no record of their having the key and could not find it.

U Haul continues to out do their generosity every time I need them. Apple Valley MN has installed a hitch, wired lights for a trailer and now I’m renting space. The entire building is squeaky clean, the floors look like they are freshly swept and mopped. I have needed Uhaul for many services and I am so grateful for such a generous company I can rely on. We NEED more companies like Uhaul. But what is a company without its crew? Thank you so much to Apple Valley people for your kindness and attention.

I was quoted online a different price for storage and when I went to sign for it the price went up. The very rude male that waited on me said that there was nothing he could do for me. Then when I went to check out of storage and paid the upcharge rent for 3 days, they said they could do nothing for me again. Every time I went to storage the employees were all out smoking. Not helpful.

Very deceiving signage. We moved from a 10x10 to a 5x10 thinking the price was 89.95. Every sign in the store says 89.95 we sign the contract and found that we are being charged 119.95 it was quite upsetting to say the least. This was deception at its best. Half the size should have been half the price!

All but one of the staff were wearing their face masks under their noses. A face mask is virtually ineffective unless worn properly. Failure to wear the face masks properly is a sign of disrespect to the customers. It's also a violation of the law.

the first guy who offered to find a unit for me walked with me the two or so blocks to a unit that he and i could not find. This was disappointing service. When I cam back with things to store, another man said I would not want the unit that the ftist guy was trying to provide for me, since it was up some stairs or such. . The second guy selected a unit that was close to the entrance, and though it cost more, it was far more valuable.

Nothing was ever a problem and any little difficulty was corrected with professionalism and wonderful good nature by all members of staff. I had storage with u-haul for 3 years, very happy. I only visit the storage about 3 times, before moving. it had perfect temperature, my items was in good condition no mold. Very professional crew.
