Your parking lot is crowded and difficult to navigate with the equipment. Suggestion: stage the trucks for pickup in a location that is convenient for customer pickup and pull-out. A customer should not be concerned about potential damage before they leave the parking lot.

The truck had 1/4 tank of gas when I picked it up. I put $100 of gas in to fill it up as soon as I rented it. When I returned it after my rental was no longer needed there was a half tank of gas in it. Approximately 1/3 of my gasoline purchase ($33.33) was still in the tank with no way to get it out. I like your old method of full tank to full tank better.

Picking up the trailer was fine. Trying to return trailer was terrible. Drove into the equipment return line with two other trucks. There were a couple employees going in and out of the storage units and saw me, but none came up to ask if I needed help. After sitting a few minutes, I realized that no one was in the two trucks ahead of me. I went inside and there were no employees behind the desk. There was someone else waiting for help as well, but it looked like he'd been waiting a while also. I ended up having to back the trailer onto M-139 to get out. Later my coworker brought the trailer again to drop it off. He also had a bad experience doing it, although he did eventually get it dropped off. Overall, very bad and inefficient experience. Management needs to figure out whatever the issues are because it was bad enough I don't plan on ever going back.

This is the best U-Haul customer service I have ever received in 20 years across multiple states. Eric King and the people checking me in were so good at their jobs and absolutely excelled in handling an overflowing parking lot after a snow storm. I cannot speak highly enough of this experience due to Eric and his leadership and the people working here.

The personnel interaction was fine but the reservation experience did not go well. I reserved a 26' truck for two days to move. Two days before I was to pick up the vehicle in my city I was informed that I would have to travel 34 miles one way to pick up the truck. This is breach of contract that I signed with Uhaul. The contract said, "A local Uhaul representative will call you by 6pm Thursday January 7, 2021 to get agreement on and schedule available time, equipment and location." The Uhaul rep called me on January 12, two days before I was to pick up the truck leaving me no alternative to switch companies from which to rent from. Why do you think your personnel time is more valuable than the customer's time? You should have had a Uhaul employee drive the truck to the agreed upon location when the reservation was made. Truck renting is the business you are in and your failed miserably in this instance. You have a lot of competition and I will use them in the future for my truck renting needs. The windshield wipers were falling apart especially on the drivers side making it dangerous to drive because it was not clearing an acceptable area in which to see during the snow and rain that I experienced.

Eric is a fantastic manager and a great asset to U-Haul in my opinion. I haven't always had the best experience renting from U-Haul but Eric is a total pro and handled my drop-off perfectly. I will deal with him again. Thank you.

We rented a truck for a local move. I was shocked that the truck had 70,000 miles on it because it was the cleanest vehicle I've ever rented! The staff was friendly and got me in and out quickly. I've rented quite a few vehicles and this was my best experience.

I was very disappointed that, when returning the truck, they told me I was all set and nothing else needed to be done. But later I received the bill through email saying it was returned after 2:00pm (2:27pm as in the document), but I've returned the truck at 1:15pm, much before 2:00pm to avoid extra charges. I had to spend one hour through phone to correct the situation, that fortunately was corrected by your phone attendant. Thanks to her!

Great service, no complaints. Great spot to get uour rental. Also, on a side note. The key got locked in the truck. I called for help. Shannon waz so patient and understanding. GMC came in less time than estimated and we were back on road a lit sooner. The help was outstanding.

The 2 guys in the Benton Harbor store are always helpful. As a woman that has never pulled a trailer, these guys help me hook up to my Jeep and are easy going on where I drop. I appreciate that they are never irritated by my lack of knowledge on backing the trailer up and are always so helpful. Thank you for giving me the independence to move on my own!!!

-Answer the phone at this location during none peak times. 20 min time hold times is terrible. I disconnected the call and drove over to this location, waste of gas and time. They were not super busy. -Be more friendly and greet customers.

I made the reservation with the main company with a phone call then when I showed up to the location the people kept talking about what kind of idiot made these reservations then instead of charging me the rate that I was quoted on the phone they went ahead and redid everything and recharged me and I got screwed out of 180 miles that I pre-paid for I thought it was piss poor. After they got it all done they let me know that the corporation has no idea how to read reserve these trucks and that I should've went right there instead of talking to anybody from the corporation of U-Haul

It rained and the truck leaked. Some of my boxes wee wet. No compensation no one cared my stuff was damaged. Rented a 20ft truck and the top shelf had puddles on it.

The truck had some issues. Notable the loading door was extremely difficult to open and close. The lock was unusable. And the steering was very loose which was a challenge with a full load and was rather dangerous when empty on a windy return.

The left mirror was not secure and moving. The store manager was able to get a repair person within 30 minutes repair. If this did not occure then my move with two moving teams would have needed to be canceled. Very great repair person with a can do attitude.

The customer service representative Eric who checked me in at the store site was very helpful. The previous night I spoke with a customer service representative by phone in the U-Haul call center and in speaking with him I requested if I could extend my truck return time at no charge and he assured me that that would not be a problem. he offered to extend my time to 5 PM with no charge. I clarified with him that there would be no charge and he assured me it was a courtesy and there would be no charge. When I arrived at the store apparently that conversation with the call center had not been noted on my account and the system charge me $54 for the time extension Eric was very helpful and courteous and rectifying the problem for me and helping me to choose a storage unit that suited my needs. He was also helpful and getting the truck maneuvered to where I could unload easily. Eric is a very helpful courteous and respectful customer service representative. Thank you Eric!
