We waited 25 minutes after our pickup time before we were able to interact with the only UHaul employee present. It turns out the delay resulted from the employee having to take calls in addition to dealing with processing bookings. The employee was the only staff present. This delayed ourselves and at least 4 other customers waiting in line. Furthermore, the information confirmed at the time of reservation did not appear to be in the UHaul system such that we had to correct the estimated mileage and other details as part of the truck pickup process. Thus delay could easily been avoided. The phone verification of pre- existing vehicle damage is also not very effective. The pictures are useless because of poor resolution - which resulted in further delay identifying non-recorded damage to the vehicle (2 areas on back of truck) before we could depart.noelle C.

My original reservation was extremely poorly managed at the address indicated below. I requested a self pickup only to discover that my reservation was logged as a hand delivery. This service was not available at this location and after 30 minutes waiting to speak with a customer service rep. I was told that I would have to travel across town for another van. Two other people were having the same issue at this locale and oddly one couple had also managed to book the same van I was there to pick up. The person who was on site offered no assistance other than to tell everyone waiting that there was a video we could access online to â€œlearnâ€ how to self check out. Very unhelpful. It took 2 hours after my scheduled pick up time before I was on the road. I requested a call back and my expectation is that I will see a reduction in the amount paid for my rental as well as an apology for the extremely poor service that I received. I'll reserve a final assessment of U-Haul for the time being. This was used a mid way point to store belongings from my late father for a sibling who could not get across the border due to COVID. I was lied to and the rep at the location doesn't know how to do her job. When I tried to checkout, the order wasn't online and I couldn't. So I was billed an extra day even after bringing it in early. Tried calling support but was on hold for almost an hour and he wasn't able to find the contract either and told me to call the location and everything would be fine, I did that and it wasn't fine. The rep had no idea about the call to support and wasn't interested in helping other than explaining that there was nothing she could do. When we pick a preferred location it should be this location and not elsewhere; it was way to far from where i wanted to pick the truck. Same thing for the drop off locationhermann M.
It took 50 minutes to check the vehicle out, partly because the online system could not be made to work on my phone. It was an intensely frustrating experience. To make matters worse, when I returned the vehicle the staff took the kilometre distance I had traveled to be miles and converted that back to kilometres, resulting in me being significantly overcharged, and it must have taken another 20 minutes for that blunder to be corrected. I will never use Uhaul again if there is any reasonable alternative.Robin F.

I was called when late for drop off and they were extremely aggressive on the phone and demanding I come bring it back immediately. The employees at this location were amazing. Initially upon check in I dealt with two women that were utmost kind and very personable! I was checked in fast and even shared a laugh. My experience in store was very good! Upon returning the truck I dealt with a very kind man he was very fast and even made time to crack a joke. I appreciate the precautions the employee was taking due to the pandemic as I watched him sanitize the truck cab. The wait to get the keys was very long. There was only 1 employee there (10am Saturday morning, a big moving day) and she was on the phone with an irate customer for 20 minutes and couldn't help the growing line of customers that just needed to get their keys.Jean-Philippe D.
Staff member was not great. They didn't mention where the dolly was or the return process of the truck for after hours. I only learned about the return process by my friend that told me you have to go on their website and fill out the info when returning the truck. Uhaul committed fake advertising. The rate per km on the website was $0.69 but I was charged $0.89. When I expressed my displeasure and that the website started differently I was told nothing could be done about it. I will never use uhaul again and will tell I know along with social media that uhaul is untrustworthy and should not be used.Taranjit S.

Unfortunately the inside of the vehicle was not cleaned very well. The dashboard was covered in dust and the seats had tons of animal hair on them. I had to put down towels on the seats to sit on so that the hair didn't transfer to our cloths. And because if the dust on the dash I wasn't sure if the steering wheel had been sanitized so I made sure to do that myself.Tammy G.
Melanie Hache (as well as the other employees I dealt with) was fabulous the entire year my items were at Britannia storage!!! I am extremely pleased with the service she offered me. From the very first day she helped me with the truck rental and then assisted me with finding a suitable storage locker that would hold my belongings. A month later when I need another unit, she was there to help again! Finally, over the course of the year she was accommodating and friendly in-person, over the phone as well as via email. We moved out of storage over the long-weekend in April and were please with the convenient hours and access into our units. During the onset of the pandemic we had to quickly empty one apartment and lease another not knowing if she would be returning to the campus in the fall. Too many internal ramps with bumps Things fell off my cart a number of times . A real pain. The billing was unclear. I received a $0 dollar bill that I called about and was told I had the rest of the month to pay and then received another notice I was over due and additional charges were being added. I then called the manager at the storage facility who told me the right info and reimbursed the late fee as I paid right away. Then my friend tells me he received a bill for the supposed outstanding fee at least 10 days after I had paid it. This irked me to no end that my friend would be bothered by this.I vowed to remove my stuff and to never deal with uhaul again. A similar thing happened when I rented a truck from you. I was told I could pick up my truck, dollies and moving blankets at one location only to be told they didn't have dollies or blankets and I was expected to go to the other end of the city to pick those up. I still can't believe that this helter skelter approach is your business model and that your help line doesn't seem to know what it is talking about. The actual truck was in very good shape and drove well. The storage facility was easy to access and the staff were great.
