The equipment was free of major debris but it needed a wipe down and a minimum broom sweep in the cab and cargo area. Nothing major. Small paper and fragments. But the cab should be wiped down. I could tell it wasn't. During this age of COVID that should be a priority.FREDDIE A.

Where do I begin? Not even 20mins after leaving with the trailer the lights went out. I called and was on hold only to be told there was nothing they could do by phone. Went back to the location and the lady acted like I was inconveniencing her. Upon returning, the employees were so busy on a smoke break in the car that they couldn't print my receipt. Then they processed the recap day later and over charged me. When I called to get it corrected I was put on hold for 10mins then asked can I call back because they were busy with a lot of customers. I drove to the location within 10mins only to find out there were NO CUSTOMERS there. The employees were talking about what they were eating for LUNCH. This location was so unprofessional.SHAQUALA B.

Before pick up at this location I reserved at a location in New Lenox IL. However they had called me and told me the previous person who has the truck isn't answering and they can't provide me with my reservation an hour before I had to pick it up. After searching online bc calling uhaul didn't work I finally found a place. This was a major inconvenience and extra money spent for movers and miles because the location was a lot further.RAMI M.

Honestly, this review is for every experience I've had with this location in the past two months. They are always busy and sometimes the phone doesn't get answered. The staff is nice but management is terrible. I had an issue two months ago and the manager is never there when I go in, never available over the phone nor in person, does not return phone calls even when the call back is scheduled through 1-800 customer service number. After I've completed my move I will never use nor recommend this location.KEISHA N.

I made my reservation online. Every single thing was wrong after I submitted the order. Then I spent 1 hour and 50 minutes on hold and that person deleted my original order so I had to go even further to get a trailer, then the people at Markham made me wait 45 minutes while they cleaned returned units, then the order wasn't nderstood that I wanted to drop the trailer at Oak Lawn so I had to call you again to arrange that. Then, I was called 5 days after dropping off the trailer saying they never received the trailer, and finally I was charged an additional $110 a week after I dropped the trailer. So I called Uhaul and was told they â€œbilled me but immediately canceled the billingâ€. Well, I don't have my money back 24 hours after you over billed me $110. Uhaul needs to get its head out of its ass. Fuck offTimothy M.

After days of uhaul.com giving us the run around. Finally being able to pick up my vehicle at this location was simple and fast. The guy was nice and extremely helpful after the hassle we've had with uhaul all weekend. We even got an upgraded dolly since our original dolly was out.Virginia K.
I was contacted by scheduling that my reservation can't be met at the location it was originally set for. I was informed i would have to go all the way ro hammond to get a trailer, my wvent was in Gary IN which means i would have to go to hammond, got back to Chicago, load up go back to IN and repeat this after the event was not offered any kind of compensation for the huge inconvenience, i ended up finding my own trailer closer to me to save all the extra over head on my end. As a weekly rental client I expect better service.. i rent every week atleast 2 units from uhau this is unacceptableALFRED W.

The person was getting the car back after we are returning, saw and said "Ohh you still have some stuff in it." while we are moving some staff our of moving track to our car yet still decided to drive the track away and the tracks doors were still open while she was driving. When I asked her to stop she said " She is just moving in another place." What happened the communication? It is very bad customer service. Her attitude in general was very negative. She was busy watching her show or whatever she was watching in her phone and it was obvious that she did not like the distraction.LARRY F.

The doors to the storage units were very weak and flimsy. They can easily be kicked in even with a lock on. The wait time for service was often very long in the office and the man at the desk made many errors at check-in that caused him to restart my transaction multiple times before finalizing. Staff were short with their answers and would walk away when trying to ask them questions or get clarification. Lastly, I was not able to reach anyone via phone at the office and was routed to the main uhaul number every single time causing me to have to find time to come in before they close at 7 PM which I never had time to do to ask simple questions that were never answered. At check-in, I asked for 24/7 Access and was told the computer wasn't working properly and that I would be able to add that later. I was never able to reach anyone by phone and when I did come down one day an associate told me she would add 24/7 Access to my unit, but didn't. Dealing with uhaul for my out of state move has been a very miserable experience from truck rental in CT, to storage in Illinois to truck rental in Illinois. Staff are rude and practices are not transparent leaving the customer feeling uneasy. I would never deal with uhaul again and I will ensure no one I know deals with you either.
