You need more people. You always are closing with a single guy for the whole place. Bite the bullet and give them more hours. I have rented trailers at least a half dozen times and many times hook up and drop off myself because you only leave one guy at the counter. It is not their fault you want to eek out a bit more profit by skimping on labor, but you'll still make money.KENNETHE L.
Truck was not totally clean I had to clean dried up what looked like exploded soda off the passenger arm handle on the a pillar.Also I returned it with the gas where it was when I picked it up but noticed a gas fee I'm guessing because where the return line sits is on an incline. I am really pissed at uhaul and will not be using this service again!!! I got fucked over because I mistakenly said I needed the truck for 12 hours but meant 24, so you assholes charged me for using the truck for 2 days instead of one.. I had the truck for 20 hours ... I told the cashier I'd drop it off in the morning and he didn't say I should rent it for 24 hours. FUUUCKKKK YOUUUUUJustin L.
Between the facility and the customer service line, I was overall annoyed by the service. I just needed to cancel and get a refund on a storage unit I no longer needed. The first call center rep I spoke to sent a msg to the facility, the facility never reached back out to me. I called back, the next rep blind transferred me to another rep after being on the phone with me for 10 minutes, then the next rep blind transferred me as well. I went to the facility, the rep at the desk did not know how to cancel a storage unit reservation. I've never worked for Uhaul but I was able to walk him through the dashboard to cancel/refund. I have used this location in the past. Great staff but the 10' box truck I rented was horrible. Clean inside but the drivers door didn't fully close and the box itself creaked and rocked as you loaded and unloaded from it. Plus the box swayed back & firth as you drove it. Sent us across country with a tow and uhaul that lost lights. Lights went out on trailer had to stop and buy temp lights because we were pulled over. Headlight on uhaul went out & reverse lights went out. UNSAFE. I don't recommend online at all if it wasn't for the guy behind the counter I would of had two useless storage units. If the guy behind the counter didn't catch that the computer gave me 2 5x5 and not a 5x10. Other than that just that other people that have storage there some are friendly but others will block the untire hallway and prevented me from getting to my unit causing me to have to find another way around the main hallwaydaniel r. | Online Move In

He managed the fact that the van we'd ordered had not been returned on time by the previous renter by expediting the cleaning of a similar van on site that was not yet ready for rental. I placed my order online and assumed everything was ok , once I got onsite I was informed that my trailer wasn't there as the previous person was not back with the rental and they only have one of the size I was looking for. They did give me a larger trailer for the same price but don't understand why they took my money and reserved my trailer if they didn't have the trailer I was looking for.Brian G.

No one told me that I needed tools to free the ramps on the car hauler I rented. All of the bolts were overtightened and one bolt was seized and had to be broken off. I struggled with the seized bolt for a long time. This should have been checked before this was given to meDavey T.

James Johnson was friendly and efficient. I would rate this experience as a 10 out of 10. During check in I waited for over 20 minutes. Location only had one worker on a saturday. Worker was not wearing a mask! Store was out of queen size mattress bags so I asked worker if the king size would work; he said yes. I spent $25 to realize the king bags were two twin bags and did NOT fit a queen at all. I was very disappointed with this location and the staff. One upside was the truck was clean and ready.Abigail W.

I first made a reservation at Canal st Syracuse. I chose smart phone pick-up. Was not set up at Uhaul location. Went inside...the girl was rude, unprofessional. When I started the truck, the heater did not work. Went back to counter and again girl extremely rude. No other trucks matching my reservation were available. I'm now over an hour behind schedule. She called someone who told her to have me go to another location(Thompson Rd) which is putting me even more behind schedule. Girl did not offer any kind of compensation, just short and rude. I asked for some kind of compensation. Person on phone offered $50 off. To be applied at the Thompson rd location. Staff at Thompson rd was professional but not sure. I received discount...lower price because of drop off location. I need a full refund for my experience with such horrible experience. i have used U-Haul services numerous times, and never had a problem. However, on December 24, 2020 rental was not good. Due to weather conditions, the driver side of the van tires inadvertently became stuck in mud. It was no deep, however the tires on the Van had no grip, they were practically ball. It took over an hour and I used my roadside assistance to help remove the van from mud. When mentioned to U-Haul it was not addressed, I should have received a refund for this rental. As I also had to come again on December 28th, 2020 for another van rental, that was successful. I was disappointed the December 24th, incident was not address.Jacqueline S.

I was very disappointed in the fact that I was required to pay for the complete month when we only were in the unit for 6 days of the month. I realize it probably is covered somewhere in the small print of the contract. But to me is a very dishonest business practice to charge for time not used. I have no complaints about the staff. Both of my visits to the facility they have been helpful and professional. It also appears to me to be a well kept facility. My only complaint is that both times I have gone they seem to be having system issues causing everything to move very slowly, having to re-enter information because the system is not cooperating, etc. This lead to long wait times and I have to imagine your employees and other customers get frustrated.
