The location and staff are above average. The truck had weak brakes and was hard to stop. I only hauled about 300 pounds and if I had a full truck, I would have been dangerous. Overall, still a good experience.

We found an AirTag stuffed inside the seat cushioning after my phone alerted me I was being tracked. It really freaked us out. The AirTag speaker had been removed or tampered with somehow so that it didn’t play its alarm to find it, but we were able to track it inside the truck to a hole that had been cut inside the top of the headrest. We called the police because we were afraid someone was trying to rob us or track us for some kind of trafficking. On return of the vehicle, the store was very casual about it and pulled up a sign that had fallen behind their desk, saying they use AirTags to track their trucks. They should really be more upfront about it when customers get the trucks and maybe not place them in such a sketchy place in the truck. And maybe label it? Or put up a sign inside the truck? My move came to a sudden halt when I was scared of my safety and had to stop everything to file a police report because an unknown person had just tracked me going to an empty house with my stuff. Not cool uhaul!

Loved the 24 hour accessibility. I don’t think it should be an extra charge to have that since it doesn’t bother anyone to have to open the gate but still good to have when you are moving between houses and you have a lot of stuff to move. Storage room was clean and thanks for the free lock. Nice touch.

The inside of the cab was dirty. The chair seems were full of crumbs and dirt. The cab had a heavy cigarette smell. The back of truck was very clean

haha, this is a very short survey. it's better than way. everything was good. the van was brand new. but i would've rented an old beat up one too just to get the job done. less worries about being extra careful with an older van or truck. the staff was very nice and friendly and helpful. I liked the van, only thing was the ride was hard at times- feel every bump and van had a little too small of an engine-;slow, sluggish. but nice touchscreen radio and action center. I would rent again from this location but my credit cards are being maxed out.

When I returned the truck the gas needle was on half. She claimed it was barely to the left although you could only see the white on the gage and no black between the needle and gage. I said ok how much. She charge me for 3 gallons which is 60 miles. No way! But I paid it. Then when I get the receipt she marked it half way between 3/8 and 1/2 which is not true but substantiated her lie. Dishonest person. I will never use this U-HAUL again.

There was a lit of turnover in personnel in the year I used the facility. Some staff members were better than others on customer service. Overall I was happy with the service. One note: the access card reader is very poorly placed. You have to get out of the car going in or out. Moving it would be a huge improvement.

When we first moved in the manager was Catherine she was amazing when she was removed a new manager moved in by then he was Samantha or contract had been altered Everything Has Changed they removed my brother active military and my rent went up they took the key from the garbage bin change the lock and wanted to charge us for using the garbage bin. The ladies restroom toilets were filthy. And the rent keep going up. After Ms Catherine left everything changed and everything started going down you we were very dissatisfied with the services. This is why we moved out.

I reserved an appliance dolly with my 15’ truck. There was no dolly at this location, I was told I could go to another location but that location didn’t have a dolly so I had to drive to a third location. Then I tried to return the dolly to the location it was rented from and they turned me away. I had to drive extra miles and waste an extra two hours with the rental running around instead of using it for the intended purpose

The online reservation was an easy process. The staff at the pick-up station was extremely kind. Later, once I left, I noticed I did not have my cell phone. A friend of mine called the location, the staff did find my phone and offered to keep it safe for me until I picked it up. She was more than kind she was very honest and helpful. That's exemplary customer service! I appreciate people like her. She is an asset to the company and I wish her all the best. (Forgot her name, I'm so sorry).

Despite checking in online prior to our arrival, the process of getting our vehicle and equipment was still slow and frustrating. We were told when we arrived that despite the fact that we reserved 24 furniture pads weeks ago, only 6 were available for us. What is the point of the reservation if these things aren’t going to be guaranteed? Even worse, when we arrived at our destination we found that the furniture pads we did have were locked up and unusable.

The U-Haul self check in app is buggy. I had to upload pictures 5 or 6 times before the app accepted them. After one or two shots, the program would freeze and I would lose all the data I had entered. Then I’d have to start the process all over again. My internet connection was strong so I’m guessing it was a server issue with the app.

Everything went smoothly but the app is malfiunctioniong. I could not find my reservation even though I made it online and the tech at the location found it for me. Then I could not return the truck because I could not find my reservation online through the app. Good location, great service.

Just didn't like how long the elevator was out and doors locked after office hours. I didn't have access to my controlled environment storage room. I could only go in the evening, so that means I couldn't get anything in or out while the elevator was down. I had specifically said that was the reason I used that particular store. I basically paid several months of storage and didn't have access because of my work hours.

The main problem I had was when I had a change in credit cards. I would email that I had a change and I would call to give the new credit card number. Then I would receive an email that I was being charged a late fee bc my (old) credit card did not work. This happened more than once. This is why I would say the staff were not helpful.

This was a changed drop-off location many miles from original drop-off location. U-Haul then decides to charge me extra for addional miles driven to alternate location. This has cost me additional time and money. NOT ACCEPTABLE.

They charge for every little thing without even telling you first or giving you a courtesy call. I’ve use u-haul in the past and never have had any issues. The gas wasn’t at the line they said it was and because I slipped up and didn’t take a picture of the gas before I got the truck. I didn’t have my normal proof like I usually do. If I can give a piece of advice for everyone is to always always always take a picture of the dashboard!

Staff failed to disclose that they were issuing me a stacked storage unit. When I arrived at my issued locker, I discovered there were no accommodations for a safe way to load my elevated storage locker. The rolling step stool provided was secured to the facility via a chain that was too short to safely reach my locker! I brought this to the attention of a staff member wearing a "manager" nametag- this individual told me "no one has fallen yet" and indicated management had no intention of remedying the situation. He also suggested that a work order to extend the chain would probably take weeks to fill. UNSATISFACTORY.... DANGEROUS AND UNACCEPTABLE. I will not return to this UHaul for my storage needs.

The facility was fine, but we were treated poorly. They messed up the order and then refused to fix it because it was “after hours” when WE realized their error. If we had waited to the next day, we would have been charged more money for our trailer rental because we couldn’t unload it, unless we accepted the wrong unit and just dealt with the inconvenience. The woman who helped us made rude comments about my pregnant belly and then ignored me and only spoke to my husband, when the reservation was in MY NAME. Then she said it was her last day, excused herself, and THREW UP ON THE FLOOR. We didn’t catch HER error because of the way we were being handled and shoved out the door. I felt HIGHLY discriminated against for no good reason whatsoever!

While the service, space, and access was great, the communication seemed problematic. I advised I would only need the space for 6 days. I provided this info to 3 different people over the phone and in-person. After I moved everything out, I left my gate key at the facility via the main door's slot. I, then, received multiple calls asking if I needed the space or was able to get the stuff out. Not sure if there are ways to notate accounts on your system, but it doesn't make for a great overall experience when communication is needed a 4th time.

The units and the facilities were very nice, but the lady that manages the office needs to work on her customer service. She lied to me to get me to rent a more expensive unit by telling me that the second month was free then she charged me when the second month rolled up. She has a bad attitude and if she doesn't like her job she might want to try something else.

I’m sorry, but had I had a better experience when I moved out of the facility I might have rated this storage facility better. I was charged a late fee because auto pay did not renew when my month was up on 14 February. I had auto pay originally, but when they gave me a larger unit, something happened and the auto pay didn’t transfer forward. The woman I guess manager that was called over to assist was unwilling to waive the late fee. It was only $15. You need a friendlier staff there that’s willing to work with people and accept their mistakes even if it was a computer error. The customer isnt always right but they should leave the facility feeling like they were well taken care of. Neither one of us were at fault, but they should have been willing to make things right for me.

Had a great experience up until my credit card on file for the unit was compromised and locked out. Not realizing this immediately U-Haul instead of notifying me that my payment had not gone through. Other than a simple email, it wasn’t until I walked up to the unit and there was a lock on it that I knew there was a problem. Call the office all they wanted was payment did not care about my issue or concerned about keeping a customer that has been paying on time for over two years. so we left, I do not appreciate the immediate lockout within 48 hours. We will not be using U-Haul ever again there are other options and we will happily go to one of those.

I had a bad experience with my reservation- I made my reservation 10 days prior - I made a phone call 4 days prior - for a 10x20 - I drove 300 miles from Fort Worth area to find out there was not a storage unit for me - very dissatisfied, frustrated, with the reservation process - however the lady at the Castle Hills facility tried to fix it - offered me a bigger unit 10x30 - it seems the online reservation and the reservation center in phenix are disconnected with the actual uhaul storage facilities- horrible experience- I desperately found online a competitor self storage to drive to - I heard the nice uhaul clerk talking on the phone with her manager about the problem and the “manager” blowed her off - so I didn’t have a move in - experience- mine was a - sorry your reservation is on the record-however you CAN’T move in experience-

The elder lady at this location was rude and condescending. Took pride in saying no in any request. The last day that I turned in my keys to move out, she took the card but did not close out my account and called 3 weeks later to ask if I moved out. Love the hospitality of friendly faces, especially being new to the city. My husband and I were most frantic when we discover half the apartments in San Antonio do not have a washer and dryer connection system room. To our surprise we were able to transport our washer and dryer from Dallas to San Antonio to be stored in the U-Haul facility, until we were able to find resident that was able to accommodate us in a most difficult situation. I dont have much experience in renting storages, but if anyone were to have a first storage unit experience, I hope they have one as great as I had with Uhaul. The exterior and interior were very well cleaned and maintained. I appreciated the free dollys for customers to help transport their belongings. I loved the benefits of having an elevator and a indoor unit too. The other storage company I had prior, didnt seem to have pest control and there was always bees attacking me. So knowing each unit had pest control measures gave me piece of mind. Best of all, the entire staff was polite and helpful from the moment I applied, to them waving me goodbye as I exited for the last time. I wish I couldve been a customer longer but I only needed for a quick move. I will definitely use this location if I need a unit in the future and hands down recommend anyone I know, to Uhaul Storage. Its a moment that is never forgotten when a customer experiences real customer service, with that said, thank you!

While I parked my motorhome there, it was hit and scratched on the back right side. But the worst is someone stole my catalytic converters from underneath, that cost me $1700 to replace. It’s not a safe place and they wouldn’t even try to look at the videos or figure out the infrared alarm. It had to be someone who drove in or it would be on the videos. They still owe me for time since Ileft before the month was over.

The very first lady (didnt get her name) I met was very friendly and helpful. I appreciate that after driving 2.5 days across the country, and then surviving I-10 construction with TX drivers while pulling a trailer diving and dolphining over all the roadwork.

The customer service was excellent. I was able to get to my spot with no issue. The room recommendation was perfect for my needs. I appreciate the one month offer of storage with my move up front. It was one less thing off my mind while I finding my new place. I even stayed an extra month. I was not in a rush to make a decision on a new address. The only 2 things I think the corporate team would approve would be to repaint the faded logo sign and fix the drainage in facility. A pond of 30' by 6' and 2" deep will form when it rains in front of the storage rooms.
