Cramped space with limited loading area. The manager used this space as their personal parking space to store personal vehicles after hours, even when they were not at the office. This meant the vehicles could not be moved so customers could load/unload their storage units. The facility is two stories but lacks an elevator to aid customers in loading heavy items to the second floor. Staff often locks and disables the wide automatic sliding door requiring you to squeeze through the narrow push door. The claim for climate control is misleading. The humidity and temperature inside the storage are always hotter and more humid than outside. Very poor air circulation. Thermometer always reads at 85 degrees. Will not use this location again and will recommend for all my friends to stay clear. The biggest issue is the manager blocking the loading area with multiple vehicles. Complete disregard for the paying customers.

The service was OK (I did self check in) But the truck was too jumpy, almost uncontrollably. I called another UHaul location where I was going to see if they can change the truck but they said I had to go back to the original location I was already late to pick up so I had to continue, but the truck was very uncomfortable jumping in our seats and some of the furniture I was carrying was damaged from so much jumping. When I mentioned it to the attendant, they just said they would put a service request for future drivers. I thought they would give us a credit for future rentals or something.

Please help your customer locate the vehicle versus telling them to go in the lot to retrieve it. I could not find the cargo van. The key fob was inoperable. Maybe the battery needed replacing. Your employee showed me the location of the vehicle and had to manually remove the key from the key fob to unlock the door.

I made what I thought was a reservation for Trailer, protective blankets and an Appliance Dolly. Arrogantly I was told I made a request for an Appliance Dolly and not a Reservation. I am a Senior and had to ask people to help me and you took my money to What I was Lead to Believe was to Reserve Equipment I needed to move. Picked up the vehicle, staff were rude and dismissive. Truck had a padlock on it, wasn’t made aware, had to call U-Haul roadside assistance to get the lock off. Dropped off the truck, again unpleasant experience. Ricardo, one of the other staffers tried to de-escalate the situation which I give him credit for, but the guy who created all the problem was still rude and dismissive.

Stay open a little later. I discovered that there were only a few places I could go to drop off a trailer in the Chula Vista area. Everything was closed on a Friday evening. I called and was told to take it to 99 N 4th Avenue. I took it there and dropped it at the Equipment return area. I used the QR Code on the trailer to process the return but it apparently didn't register that I had returned it last Friday the 19th. Today I received a call from a UHaul rep in Chula Vista telling me that the trailer was never returned. I have two witnesses who were with me when I returned it. The person that called me said they would mark it returned. I also received a fee for $45 saying that there was a traffic camera that issued a ticket for running over a sand bag. I did not receive any evidence of this and would like to know I just wasn't arbitrarily charged another $45 onto my rental.

Getting the Uhaul was a great experience, the guy at the counter was nice. I didnt know which one was mine and it took like 10 min to find the correct one, I also unfortunately had to reverse this uhaul out on my own and it wasnt until I was pretty much done until they offered help to get it out. I also had a uhaul that the seat thing was broken so I was struggling to reach the petals to drive. I also did not expect to pay so much either but it is what it is

It meant a lot that both the pick-up and drop-off locations were open to giving an extra miles allowance for the miles I had to drive from that location to my parent's home where I did the loading. It makes sense and should be part of the standard miles allowed in the contract (like 20-50 extra miles) but, initially, it wasn't. Thank you to the great employees who treated me like a human being. For that, I will continue to use Uhaul services and recommend them to others! Drop-off location people were super chill and made the process so easy! Kudos to them for being good at what they do.

I came in during a really busy time (end of month) and even though things felt really unpredictable because of how many customers were coming and going and needing different things, the staff never stopped being kind and doing everything they could to help me whether it was helping me scan things or letting me borrow tools to take apart my belongings for storage they were always there. On the phone they told me I had to take what they had and only 450 miles any over it was 40 cents a mile . Then as I picked it up they told me 75 cents a mile . She tried to rip me off . Bad business

We gave above average because on the add it said 79cents per mile but upon checking the receipt it was $1 and some cents. But the service all the employees was remarkable especially Ricardo. Amazing.
