The agent overcharged me ,and he charged me for an extra day and didn't explain anything. Hit me with a 28 dollar insurance charge I neither asked for nor wanted . I won't go there again . The truck I rented had so much play in the steering column it made me nervous,and when I returned it and mentioned it the agent acted as if it were normal,someone is going to get hurt. again I say I will not return to that location again!!Allyn D.

You should stop charging hidden fees, such as overnight return fee. I'm amazed that you haven't been taken to the court. Nobody explained to me that there was such a $20 dollar fee for overnight return. Neither the contract has this provision. I will avoid using U-Haul in the future and make sure my families and friends know about your lack of transparency and deceitful business practice.RAFAEL R.

Overall security is very good and the RV spots under the roof shelter are excellent for storage. The access road around the RV storage tends to not drain well, gets muddy , and could use some more crushed stone, slope and runoff work.Tony F. | Overall Experience

DO NOT RENT CARGO VANS WITH REAR WHEEL DRIVE IN THE WINTER. A 2 1/2 HOUR TRIP TOOK 4 1/2 HOURS WITH SLIDING ACROSS THE ROAD ALL THE TIME. The online pickup was a little clumsy...it wrongly identified the truck I was to pick up...it failed to register my DL, (insisted that it was expired)..fortunately there was a staff member onsite who fixed the issues otherwise i would not have been able to rent the truck.NIGEL A.

I arrived at 9:00 AM Check in was not bad It took about 20 minutes. But when I went to the truck I was there one more hour trying to open the truck cargo door as it was frozen shut No one there was able to help. I returned the truck the next morning I arrived A few minutes before 9 . I was told that they were taking care of customers and I should leave the key as it would be a long wait to check in. They would send me my final receipt. I got the final receipt with surcharges that the truck was returned late after 11 am so I was charged extra insurance and some charges for the next day. I immediately called uhaul customer service for a refund but it took me several tries because the phone disconnected the first time. I will never use clinton, MA location again. I will still use uhaul when I need to but only a location like Northboro mass that is well managed.Angelo M.

The facility on High St in Clinton is exceptional. The office is extremely well stocked and neat and organized. What makes this facility so special is the outstanding leadership of Tammy the manager. She is always so helpful and caring to the customers. Moving is a stressful time and Tammy's calming and supportive demeanor always picked up my spirits. There were two employees there yet only one person was checking people in while the other sat there and chatted. I was in line for a half hour and then was told I could have checked in virtually. By the time I got to my van there was a line of 8 people waiting to be checked in. Also the employees were NOT WEARING MASKS AT ALL. And it wasn't as if they had them pulled down - they didn't have them on. It was very concerning. I almost called the health department.Stephen K.

The computer system that checks people is always very slow. This is not limited to this location, it's the same all locations. The POS system has had trouble processing my debit card each of the last 10 visits to 2 different U-Haul locations. At this point I just hand my card to the person behind the counter so that they can process it, I don't even try putting my card in the machine.. This is certainly not the most secure way to process cards. The person that checked me out was a great at what he did. He got me out as quickly as he could. The price was reasonable, the tuuck worked well.David P.

My pickup location was changed after reservation was made online. Someone called me to change my pick up to a further location ultimately costing me more money in miles. When we went to pick up the truck at the time confirmed both online and over the phone with a representative, the location was closed. We were lucky enough to catch someone leaving who was able and willing to help us. After I returned the truck I was called the next day to ask if I had returned it. Over three weeks later multiple charges were charged to my card with no email, no receipt, no communication or confirmation. I tried calling multiple locations and customer service lines for information but have been unable to speak to anyone. I've contacted the online chat line and continue to be directed to phone numbers that ultimately lead to full voicemail boxes or never-ending hold music. That's just the experience with customer service. The truck itself had a broken latch that was not shown to us, it was extremely difficult and dangerous to open and resulted in my friend injuring herself trying to open the back. It was dirty and the light in the back did not work which made packing during my overnight reservation extremely difficult. Speaking with customer service over chat was also extremely disappointing. A representative named Lilliana just directed me to the Uhaul FAQ and gave me the same 1800 number that was never answered. Overall two thumbs down for a very unpleasant experience during a very stressful time.Christina D.
