The 26' truck JH 3288D has a set of newer front tires that are not properly balanced. Severe bounce to front end and hard to control at times. On return during business hours only one attendant on duty and she had customers waiting in line so unable to check truck in. Location greatly under staffed. Didn’t think I would have to enter the access code twice at both keypads, but I figured it out eventually. The first is to check in and the 2nd is to open the door. Along with a 26' truck we also rented a car hauler. We were told that we could not drop off the car hauler at this site since the manager got hurt at one time doing that and we were to schedule a different drop off location. Again, not much in the way of customer service BUT other drop off places informed us that we should drop it off there since it didn't make sense not to....we dropped off here.Dave B.

Ubox delivery truck broke down for the box loading. I was told the day before loading that the earliest they could deliver was 2 days later. The contingency plan was to charge me for a truck and trailer, require me to transport it, and provide me a $30 gas credit instead of paying an employee to deliver the box. Moving help was cancelled by a "system error". Moving company said help can only be cancelled by myself or them and neither of us cancelled. Thankfully, they showed up, but I had to reorder/pay for moving help due to the system error and didn't receive my refund for the original payment until 6-8 business days later. Upon arrival, uhaul box delivery went smoothly. Moving help never contacted me and did not respond to phone calls. I was left to unload the entire box by myself. Labor fees were refunded. This has been literally the worst UHAUL experience I've had, and I've moved with UHAUL before. Contingency plans were not appropriate to time sensitive situations of moving. I made plans well in advance for a smooth move and paid nearly $2,000. When things went wrong (not on my end) I received a $30 gas credit to account for additional stress.Bethany B.

Well the experience started off like crap. I went to the 24 hour share site and was unable to gain access to the truck. I have a phone with internet but it does not have a working camera. I did not know I would need a working camera. So I spent 15 minutes trying to get my phone to work, 20 minutes with a friend trying to finish the process on his phone (did not work because I had already started on my phone), 30 minutes with customer support (28 minutes on hold 2 minutes to let me know they can't help). Drove 25 miles to a location that had on site personal which added 50 miles to my rental truck experience. I will say, the De Pere facility was very helpful and friendly wish my experience started there.CHRISTOPHER K.
Vehicle was clean but the mechanics of the engine were not good. Took forever for the truck to switch to next gear, like it didn't have enough power. Seemed that there is an issue with the steering in this truck as well. I even did the self check in return and was charged. A $60 dollar day rental turned into a $136 day rental with no explanation of why except that's how we charge. We stopped in in person prior to needing the locker. We had a great experience in reserving the locker. When we came back on move in day, there was no record of our reservation and the gentleman seemed annoyed with US that YOUR system had lost that record. He did not seem familiar with how to correct it. It took a considerable amount of time to correct the error, get the truck and the employee seemed annoyed by that. We had believed we were set up for auto pay on the locker, but we were locked out the first time we tried to access the unit. We had to stop in again and get the late fee removed which also was a hassle. The unit is great, the building is clean - just lots of system issues that seem avoidable.steven k. | First Impressions

I tried to reserve a utility trailer online but apparently there were none available. That was not really very clear and by the end of my reservation I had a cargo trailer instead. Tried to edit or cancel and that process was not user friendly. I ended up taking it out of my cart but not sure if that canceled it so I drove to the facility to check and to see if there were any other utility trailers. Fortunately, the woman there was very friendly and professional and was able to set me up with a utility trailer. We made a reservation for climate control storage 3 times before it actually showed up in your system. Behind the counter they seemed confused. We were told we could have a storage 10x20. We were not told it was on the 2nd floor until later in the process. We live in De Pere and want to use our local businesses. We did not get what we reserved. We got two 10x10's. All we had was furniture to store, no boxes. The poor movers had a very difficult time moving the furniture up the elevator and thru the storage area. You put us way down the hall in the last lane in the back of the building. This was a move into U-haul storage that should have taken less than an hour but it took 3 hours. It was ridiculous. This place is fine if you want to rent one unit. However if you rent more than one unit the security system will not be able to link multiple units to the same account despite what the staff may say or try to do. When we would enter the storage facility and open one of the units other than our first unit we would set off the security alarm which would result in an ear splitting sound that destroys your hearing. It got to the point where we would simply keep ear plugs in both of our cars to protect our ears because we knew we were going to set off the security alarm despite our best efforts not to do so.mark r. | Overall Experience

Only caution is to make sure you look at the specific unit you are assigned because the vertical building supports have to be somewhere & if it’s in your unit, storage capacity is diminished.
