Dirty dark store. Unfriendly staff. No cold water for customers in Phoenix where it's 112° today. . No vending machines either. Pathetic waiting room. Junky store room. Dangerous trucks coming out into the parking lot where the arrows point to returns only ...nearly causing head on crashes!!! No help locating truck rentals on the lot. Immature non professional staff. Looks like they are all high school drop outs and smoke weed. No grown ups in sight.

Irma BAfter the truck didn't pass the inspection we came to this location and got a different truck. Everyone was very nice and helpful.
I SEverything was perfect about this transaction, EXCEPT...The gentleman who checked out the equipment to me was not helpful. His instructions in locating the vehicle were, its over there in the corner. There were several trucks parked outside the building. He did not indicate that the truck number correlated with what was written on the key. I figured it out on my own. While I was documenting pictures, the same gentleman who was checking me out drove up in another truck and asked if I could "go out there somewhere" in the parking lot and finish taking pictures because he had to park another truck in the spot that I was finishing up in. Not 3 minutes had transpired between the time I was sent wandering out into the parking lot by myself and the time that he drove up and asked me to get the truck out of his way. Just a note for customer service: Don't tell the customer that you'd like to inconvenience them because of what YOU have to get done. It comes off as self-absorbed and rude - especially after you didn't assist them to their vehicle or explain anything.

KYLE HLicense plate light on our trailer was broken and stuffed down inside mounting area. This was NOT noted by U-Haul staff. We drove off and within a mile had to return as the right indicator light was NOT working at all. Joshua replaced the light assembly, and it worked (for about 100 miles); again, the license plate light being gone was NOT noted. While we appreciate Joshua and the team helping, we can’t say they were thorough. We ended up stopping at Dillon’s Corral LLC in Benson, AZ to try and get the light(s) working. Ben and Mark were super helpful: they interrupted their lunch to discover and repair the license plate light and replace several frayed wires. The repairs to the indicator light lasted about an hour; the license plate light repairs lasted all the way to drop off.
Richard SI turned the auto transport in on the same day I got it and they didn’t sign it back in into the follow day. Then charged me again. I couldn’t unload the truck efficiently with the auto transport that’s why I took it back the same day. I asked for a receipt and was told it would be emailed to me. I reached out to customer service because I still did not have the receipt later that night and was told it would be handled. It had not. The gentleman that took it off the truck had blond hair and blue eyes and he wore glasses.
SHIKKA WTo drive improvement, you can foster a more customer-focused environment where proactive solutions are consistently provided, and not on a favoritism basis. The store supervisor Shannon and employee Alex could benefit from additional training in customer service, in hopes to improve their ability to effectively address situations involving unavailable products and offer suitable alternatives. With this review I am hoping that no other customer has to deal with the disrespect and rudeness of this staff, because this staff neglected to provide a viable solution.

Sarah LThe store is RIDICULOUSLY understaffed It took an Hour+ to get checked in. There was a line out the door. On Saturday you should NEVER be UNDERSTAFFED. Maybe you should PAY more to get to adequate staffing levels. I would definitely NOT recommend the CHAOS at this location. The S AZ location does not have THESE issues.

Tariq BThe only caveat I have with my rental experience is the way you have set up the gas tank filling requirements. The "fine print" states that if the tank is returned below 1/4 a tank, there is a $30 fee plus the cost of your gas prices to fill it to the original level - Which in my case was very slightly above 1/4 tank. I was told I would be charged about $87 for filling the tank to slightly above the 1/4 level it was when I rented it. I feel this is a ploy to stick customers with that extra $30 by setting this fee if the tank reads slightly above 1/4 tank when rented and they return it slightly below the 1/4 mark. Suggestion: Either make the customer fully aware of this potential additional cost, so they can return the vehicle with the appropriate amount (I was not made aware of this fee when renting it out) OR rent the vehicles with a full tank and that way it is much easier to gauge how much gas a customer used and they can know that they would just need to "top off" the tank. I have rented from U-Haul many times over the years and this is how you used to do it. It's not complicated and the customer simply would just ensure the tank is "full" upon returning it. JOHN CAlignment was really off pulled to the right brakes squeaked . Staff just handed keys and did not go over anything or check . ABs warning went off 1/2 way through our trip .. we loaded our truck then left for Oregon and that’s when we noticed the issues they should of checked this trick as we went 1000miles

UHAUL CALLED THE NIGHT BEFORE AND STATED I'D HAVE TO DRIVE 50 MILES TO BUCKEYE TO GET THAT, GAVE ME A 6X12 COVERED TRAILER INSTEAD. ASIDE FROM REPEATEDLY SMASHING MY HEAD ON THE CEILING OF THE TRAILER WHILE LOADING, THE DOOR FAILED TO CLOSE WHEN EVERYTHING WAS LOADED, HAD TO CALL FOR ROADSIDE REPAIR. WHEN YOU HAVE TWO WEEKS NOTICE TO ENSURE A RESERVED UNIT IS AVAILABLE, MAKE SURE IT'S THERE ON PICKUP DAY!

When the manager met me at my unit after I discovered the break in all I got was a “well we’ve been calling you about your lock”. I received 1 voicemail from the facility regarding the break in’s but nothing more. To say I’m disappointed is an understatement considering there are no cameras facing any of the units and there has been nothing done to increase security. Since you need a code to get in and out of the gate I would assume the person doing the break ins is a current renter or they have given the gate code out to someone they know. We have opted to move our items to another storage facility and to not prorate our monthly rent because of our choice to move due to the circumstances is unacceptable.

Staff put a U-Haul lock on it, then said 'I' had to pay for a locksmith to cut it off! Had to file a police report and the forensic van came out to take pix and dust for prints. Was told this was an 'ongoing' problem at this location. Charged me late fees when I was not late. Called to dispute. Was told they would call back. Instead, sent a bill to my deceased father. Billed me for additional month AFTER I moved out of first unit because THEY were too lazy to walk the property! Just moved out of second unit...and 5 DAYS LATER, sent me a bill saying I'm late with my rent. Most incompetent, dishonest staff. This was at the Chandler, AZ location on Arizona Ave and Knox.

I came back to ask if i could get a refund for the 2 on wheels and was told no. You have video footage we didn’t use them and came back less than 45 mins to request this. I kept the large one because thats what we needed for the large pieces. Customer service is key they heard me going back and forth or what i needed and knew it was for dressers.

I experienced several destructive break-ins at this facility and well over $5,000 worth of things stolen over several weeks, that does not include cost of repairs & time spent trying to follow up with a manager that could never make himself available to show me what video they captured of the culprit (after having filed a police report & having a right to view the videos). That facility is poorly maintained, has the same cut chainlink fence still in place from the break-ins (just chained together something lousy), & lacks proper security to deter these crimes from occurring in the future. Potholes and mud puddles never get tended to, the gate was lubed once in my time there & you could really tell the difference when it finally happened. Uhaul needs to see how they're being represented out here. It's raggedy. Would not, Do not, Will not, Never Could I Recommend This Facility, individually. Uhaul as a whole, sure. But they need to put their thumb down on this place.

It took a medium uhaul truck to load up all my stuff, and I left with an amount that fits into my 2008 Chevy Malibu. I filed a police report and took all necessary measures to ensure some type of refund or answers as to why this had happened TWICE. I received one months refund and that was it. To say I am upset would be a massive understatement. I had things stolen from me that are priceless and can never be replaced, ever. Not to mention the sheer magnitude of stuff that was taken from me. I wouldn’t wish this experience on my worst enemy.

My unit was in front of a huge water puddle and made it difficult to access my unit without dragging mud into it.the back lot needs asphalt. There was also no climate control available so I had to get my stuff out of there before it got too hot. If you have high end furniture this is probably not the best place to store your items. Price was reasonable. it's an old lot so don't have high expectations if you plan to store items here.

I was super nice to her and she wouldn’t make conversation with me but she talked to her co workers and joked with them. I washed her for a big truck and she said she didn’t have one. I found out the next day there were the big trucks. It seemed like she was trying to make my move harder than it needed to be. I had to take 5 trips in the little truck in 122 degree heat. I am 70 years old and I didn’t feel welcome at all. She had short multi colored short hair. I don’t think I will rent anything from hula again.

Having unit in a pitch black and the gate being left open due to non-operational is really creepy for me (woman) to be there by myself! So it really depends on the size unit Someone would need if I would recommend this facility and if they’re lighting has not changed on if it’s a woman that needed a unit at the facility! But overall, nice facility and yes during the day I felt safe! I would recommend facility!

Your call center numbers are use less my stuff was missing for a month with no one that could get in touch. I would not use the u boxes again because of the HORRIBLE customer service.
