One of the locking pins was bent on the ramp to the trailer. When I looked over the trailer I didn't notice it. It was pretty rusty and looked like it had been bent for a while. Because it was bent it didn't go all the way down and lock under the safety stop.Robert H.

The trailer I rented was not well maintained. The rails were replaced with some cheap black strips that would not accommodate straps. They told me to try using rope. When I told them it was not an option they kind of relented and let me check out other trailers. None had been cleaned out the unit with good rails still had dirt, debris (screws, gaskets etc) from the previous user.RICK L.
My business rents from U-Haul regularly, so we always request the emailed receipts when dropping off to save time. Over the past six month or so, it is rare that we get those, so now we have to ask your employees to go inside and print one out before leaving. Not sure what the problem is, but that should be fixed for both your employees and the customers. Other than that, this particular location is the best there is. We've been renting regularly for the past ten years and they know us by name and treat us like family.David R.

The truck had check engine light on for o2 sensor used 400 dollars in gas to go 900 miles then charged me extra gas when brought back with proper amount of gas in itSHAWN I.

I've never used a uhaul car dolly and asked for assistance making sure my car was secure. They acted like I wasn't worth their time and very rude. I asked a day prior because I took the uhaul Truck to load up and went back with the uhaul and tow vehicle to get secure. Uhaul truck windows rattled and wasn't clean. I under if I was maybe local. Miserable experience. We made the order/reservation a month ago to be picked up at the uhaul location nearest to our place; a mile and a half. We showed up an hour before closing to pick up our truck and uboxes. Nothing was ready; not only that, our reservation wasn't even available. Why? No one could say other than â€œwe don't do U-Boxes here.â€ No explanation for why we weren't contacted about the fact that we wouldn't be able to pick up our order at the location. â€œThat shouldn't have happened.â€ They sent us to another location several miles away that supposedly had â€œlots of boxes.â€ We were able to make it about 15 minutes before closing. All they really did at this place was stare and say â€œnot sure why they sent you to us. We have full boxes, no empty boxes.â€ But this place at least called someone to find empty boxesâ€¦ on the other side of the East Valley. No way to make it before closing, but they said they'd have the truck and a box all ready to go at 7 the next morning. Showed up at 7 and nothing was ready. We finally got the truck and a box by 8. But the trailer wasn't hitched properly; shortly after getting our second box we hit a small bump in the road and the trailer came unhitched. Fortunately we weren't going too fast and were able to reach the shoulder. It took both of us straining to lift the trailer up and properly hitch it this time. Oh, one other thing. No one could find our pickup truck reservation because they kept on looking at the destination order instead of the origination order. â€œYou don't have a truck reserved.â€ I had to keep pulling out my phone and showing them the order. Miserable and unsafe experience. No one offered much in the way of apology or offered any discount or anything to make up for making us drive all over the Mesa-Gilbert-Chandler area to pick up an order we made a month ago that U-Haul was clearly unprepared for. Three boxes (only two used) and a truck. It shouldn't be that hard.James D.

We told the reps that the U-Haul we received the AC wasn't working and the guy said just fidget with it and it will work well that worked at first but the rest of our time using it the ac didn't work and we had to be stuck hot in this Arizona heat.Brandelyn D.
The tires on the trailer were bald and broke down on a road with the Temps at 121 degrees. It took over 2 hours to get someone to answer a phone and then the internet that we had to have someone not traveling with us to make contact. After that it was 45 mins to get a great guy to change out a tire. A person said that they didn't answer the phone because they were TOO BUSY! Need a better way to get roadside assistance. Things could have been a whole lot worse. The person that I finally talked with on the road was very nice.Michael P.

1) very slow service! Too many customers and too few staff. 2) Tow Dolly was in ragged shape and straps/safety chains needed to be secured from dragging in the road. Very sloppy! 3) Equipment return was also way too slow and employees are reluctant to take charge. If you want people to return equipment in a tidy way, you need to provide tidy equipment! The customer service staff was great; however, the night crew (from what I was told) put me and my family at risk by not checking the trailer tires. I found one tire completely bald and at least one other (out of 4) nearly bald. This was a huge safetly issue!! Everyone was good except the girl that rented me the truck to move out. She wasn’t very friend. Well rude. I was super nice to her and she wouldn’t make conversation with me but she talked to her co workers and joked with them. I washed her for a big truck and she said she didn’t have one. I found out the next day there were the big trucks. It seemed like she was trying to make my move harder than it needed to be. I had to take 5 trips in the little truck in 122 degree heat. I am 70 years old and I didn’t feel welcome at all. She had short multi colored short hair. I don’t think I will rent anything from hula again.linda d. | Overall Experience

I found out when I get a trailer motorcycle then I drove shake of trailer wheel ( right side wheel is shaking ) from chandler to Dekalb for $938.34 plus credit $299 from uhaul which I paid $638.45 they suppose to pay me $299 back which it was charged one way online ( $638 )right so they should give me $339 charged for one way right but they still pay me SAME $638 !!! Uhaul are bad math and FRAUD !!! I will report to BBB and Claim to you guys without Interpreter and they don't care about right wheel shake for everyone not SAFE!!!!AAMIR P.

Would like to have had adjustable mirrors (15' truck). Saved us the day we rented it as we reserved with another rental place & when we went to pick up the truck, they didn't have one. Not a good thing when you gave people lined up to help move an older person from Sun City to Chandler. You guys had trucks available AND cheaper. First of all, I reserved online for Monday to get a trailer then they told me where I have to pick a trailer motorcycle at 2235 w McDowell Phoenix, AZ and I found out the tire has bald due of was canceled I drove 45 miles away for nothing then next Wednesday ( two days later ) got emailed or texted from Uhaul sent me another local is 1375 N Arizona Chandler AZ I got a trailer as even worst the wheel is SHAKING I drove to Chicago with my bearing pain as waste my time postponed I suppose to leave on Monday but you gave me on Wednesday as picked up a trailer with bad SHAKE of the wheel I nervous to driving all the way. When I arrived at the downtown Chandler office there was only an hour till close. The staff was outstanding. The assistant manager helped me back into a spot so my wife and I could unload. While unloading time was running out and instead of telling us to wrap things up we are closing the gentleman who check equipment in helped us unload. This type of service was great. -Need better lighting; area of my unit was pitch black. -Need to be better descriptive online; I didn’t know that the units were actually are the back of the truck ,just laid on the ground. Having unit in a pitch black and the gate being left open due to non-operational is really creepy for me (woman) to be there by myself! So it really depends on the size unit Someone would need if I would recommend this facility and if they’re lighting has not changed on if it’s a woman that needed a unit at the facility! This location very nice! However my experience with u- haul has been absolutely awful!! Your call center numbers are use less my stuff was missing for a month with no one that could get in touch. I would not use the u boxes again because of the HORRIBLE customer service. I suggest getting more bodies at your actual location and get rid of the phone so called “ customer service” people.
