Have more workers available. Let the person who is in the office be able to contact roadside service for the customer. It was a 6 hour trip that should have been 2 hours. The truck was not properly maintained for the whole battery to need replacing. I won't rent from you again!

Very dissatisfied with uhaul pricing models. Everything seems to sneak in an extra charge...very obnoxious that if a rental is set up as 4 hrs, you don't get the full 24 (same price)...awful that extensions cost more than regular rentals...and now I've been over-charged for my rental, complained twice, and never been contacted to correct it. Terrible.

When I returned the truck, the return lanes were full and I could barely get onto the lot. Then someone moved a truck forward and said I could pull in behind it and she would be right back to check me out. 45 minutes later, I was still waiting. I had somewhere to be and I was already going to be late - so I put a note in the truck and left. Very obvious that there was insufficient help that day.

Although this location is always busy, the staff is very helpful and courteous. They make sure you get what you need and don't try to rush you just to get to the next customer.

Terrible rental experience We started by renting a 15' truck and were told to pick up at Burnouts (1530 Patton Ave, Asheville, NC) When we arrived, no one was there and we called Uhaul. We were told to go through a mobile check-in process. The mobile check-in was way too cumbersome and time consuming to perform on a mobile phone. Spent another 35 min on the phone w/agent. Since there was no one on-site to provide a key or assistance, we ended up cancelling the order and making anew reservation with the Uhaul facility on Swannanoa River Road. Drove across town to pick up the truck and had to mobile check in that truck with an agent. The process took another 25 minutes and even the agent had to enter check-in info twice. At this point, we were getting quite aggravated as over 1 1/2 hours spent on trying to rent a truck. When we returned the truck that evening, it took 30 minutes to check-in the truck back in via the mobile check-in. In total, we spent over 2 hours on the mobile check-in process when we could have been moving and being productive. The process is cumbersome, slow, does not store info, and is generally an inconvenient and aggravating exercise to put your customers through. I don't know if you get any feedback in this area, but I'm sure there are other customers like myself who have been just as frustrated. Doubt that I will ever rent at Uhaul again due to the hassle with this "easy" check-in process.

Terrible customer service. They didn't explain to me how to check the trailer in when I returned it and then charged me a service fee for doing it wrong. Definitely will not do business here again if I can avoid it.

I think an employee should review the vehicle with the customer, not have the customer review the vehicle and take photos of any dents or scratches. The customer should not be in the position of missing something then be held responsible for repairs.

I only put no to the question regarding being clean and inviting, because I was initially told they couldn't accept my drop off because they didn't have anywhere to put it and will NEED TO bring it somewhere else. I'll just say that really added to my frustration with this rental experience.

I really feel the fee was way to much for what I needed to do. All I did, was tow my sons car from Greensboro NC to Asheville NC, 178 mile one way and I had to pay $320.00 for a 15 ft. Truck, we didn't use and a tow dolly for the car. People are in a bind during this covid stuff and all I see is business hiking prices. I was expecting that trip to cost me around $150 or so, I feel that's just a big rip off cause there are limited competition. All went well and he was nice, but I just feel ripped off. Driving a truck a tow dolly from uhall to uhaul, same company, for $320. Not going to say I will never use uhaul again but I'm going to check all my options before hand. Thank you

Way too expensive, roaches were in our things, that weren't there before due to cross contamination from other out of state stored items in other units. I've lived in Western NC for years in multiple locations and we do not have roaches like the lowlands.

I was not told that my drop off location was closed on Saturdays. I would have tried to avoid the after hours fee for that.

I rented a truck for 4 hours. When I asked the woman where to park she said people are parking across the street. When I went out to move my car it was just a gravel pull off from an extremely busy road. I parked there worried about leaving my car on the side of the road and had to run across the busy road to get to my rental. I get space is an issue but it's not a safe or secures place for parking or walking across such a busy road.

When I rented the trailer, my drop off location was Weaverville, NC. Yesterday as I was getting ready to drive the trailer to Weaverville, I noticed a text I received telling me the drop off location was changed to Marshall, NC. I had no idea where that it, but its in the mountains of NC so I headed there but as I got into NC mountains, the GPS would no longer work. Called the location for directions but only got a recording. So drove to Weaverville to find out they were closed. Found the location in Asheville was open so I drove there to drop the trailer. They were nice enough to take it off my hands but cautioned me that I might get an additional charge for dropping at the “wrong” location. I think it is wrong of y'all to expect a text to be redirection for renters to go to a different drop point than previously agreed upon. I spent an extra 2 hours and half a tank of gas trying to find the reassigned location. If you need to change drop points you should personally call the renter. My cell is 814-335-0476 if you wish to call me to discuss this situation. With that said, I very much appreciate the top notch equipment you provide. It has been a big help to me over the years. Then to top it off she started coughing into her head there kept ringing up the guy in front of me. I had a 1130 appointment I didn't leave U haul until 1:00 pm And the truck it so many scratches on it I had them videotape it. I hired two movers at work charging me $30 an hour and where I was moving to is about an hour away and the owner had to wait with the keys

They did not have a record of my appointment to return unit to their facility, even though when I called the National office they told me I had a reservation there. I had wanted to request a grace period period to return the unit a bit later, 30 minutes to 45 late. There was no flexibility! This seems unfriendly to me.

When we rented the trailer we were told the time to return the next day but there was no emphasis at any time - when we called to rent it OR when we arrived and got the trailer that if we are even 1 minute late we would be charged a second day. We were 15 minutes late and were charged another day -the employee said they hated to do this but policy is even if the customer is 1 minute late that a second day is charged. There were so many trailers available at this location so we do not think someone was waiting for our trailer. If you are going to do this you should emphasize it!

The lady in the store was so busy when I came in, helping her crew get a rental cleaned and ready for a customer, taking care of sales, helping me get a unit and even parked my truck for me to unload it conveniently and not affect other customers. The few people working were stressed, cold & very irritated. I witnessed them being very short with every person in there, acting as if we were all a bother & inconvenience during their busy day. After waiting 20-30 minutes to be set up with my storage unit (My second time coming back bc I was told they were too busy to do it earlier in the day), when I explained what I was there for, the guy literally dropped his head in frustration & audibly sighed while shaking it back & forth. They were very busy & seemingly short staffed, but it was unprofessional & extremely uncomfortable for them to take that out on every customer there. I won’t go back bc they made it a very uncomfortable experience.
