Returning the truck could not have been less problematic. The person on duty checked the odometer, gave me my total charge, and offered to print the receipt if I wanted. Receiving it by email was fine so that's how I received it. We were in and gone in under 10 minutes.

Be sure to explain the after hours drop off...we had already locked the truck and put the keys in the slot while i was answering the questions...and needed certain pictures we couldn't get.

I rented a 15' truck and a trailer to haul a ford ranger. Paper work was quick and easy, everything was clean and ready when I picked it up. The staff was extremely nice at sign in and drop off. I'll definitely come back when I need to rent a truck. 👍💪🚛🚙

Make sure the bill is correct! I was charged DOUBLE for the blankets (after the fact). Website said one thing and the bill was double. The truck had a leak, the tire pressure monitor was on, and it took 15 minutes to get it squared away. The first agent refused to help me and spent time with a new customer!

Daniel and the rest of the U-Haul professionals at the East Ridge location is always at the top of their game! Always friendly and welcoming. I can't think of anything that can be improved on at that location.

Very tight area inside and outside. Some visibility issues with movement around 'yard'. Hang box racks from the ceiling and clear the floor.

This has probably been my worst experience with any truck rental company. I know who not to chose now. First of all I rented a 10ft truck with auto transport at a location different than where I ended up having to pick it up. I chose the original location specifically to accommodate everyone involved in the moving process. Received a confirmation voicemail stating that the truck and auto transport were ready for me to pick up at the different location much further away and couldn't be transported to my preferred location. Wouldn't say thats good business. Arrived at the rental location to find out they don't have the auto transport that I requested 4 days before I needed it and the general manager has nothing to say about it. Didn't apologize or anything. Luckily they had a tow dolly, however I chose the auto transport knowing that it would provide better protection/wear and tear for the vehicle in tow. 20 minutes into the drive the tire service monitor system kicks on so we call for maintenance. Customer service tells us where to go and that someone would arrive within 30 minutes. 45 minutes goes by only to find out the service tech was in the building and never called to let us know he was there. All he did was fill the tires up which didn't work because it came on again 30 more minutes down the road. Huge waste of time. Gets worse. Headlights on the truck were moving all over the place every time we hit a bump providing terrible lighting for us at night. What a huge disappointment for a truck rental. If I don't get refunded for this rental, I will be sure to let friends and family know what kind of service you get with U-Haul. So pissed off.

I rented a 5x8 covered trailer. While the rental location checked the brake lights and blinkers, they did not check the night time running lights. I was about 1 hour and 100 miles into a seven hour trip, it had been dark for about thirty minutes, when I pulled over to refuel and noticed that none of the regular running lights were working. I had to complete the trip in the dark with no lights.

It is kind of hard to gage how much gas to put in the U-Haul. It would be easier if it would be set to like 1 gallon for every 7 miles estimated or something similar. The only complaint I have about the specific location is the mud by the U-Haul parked location. That's being nit picky though. I thought it was great overall.

I really got nailed on the cost. I want to point out that I've always gotten good service from all the locations I've dealt with. And Ringgold Road in Chattanooga has the cleanest restrooms I've ever seen!

A clearer understanding of what the rental time options are (24 hours vs a few hours) and what the consequences are to keeping a vehicle past the time if you choose the hour option. I was told I would be charged an extra day if it came in after hours but if I just chose the 24 hours, there would be no additional charge and the price was the same!. This should be clear. That's an easy explanation that I was not given until some voices were raised. It could have been avoided easily.

Make your employee checking in customers wear a mask while there is a global COVID-19 pandemic going on. The check-in process took over 20 minutes yet I had already done it on-line. I was repeatedly ask questions that I had already answered on-line then she wanted me to pay when I had already paid on-line. It was a one-way rental but turning the truck in at the U-Haul location of my choice (5315 Summer Ave, Memphis, TN 8122) wasn't an option.

This location needs to be closed. When I got to the location the gentleman that was trying to process storage unit did not know how to process the transaction in the computer and took forever and never could actually process the transaction. He let me know that they were closing in an hour and I did not have time to unload my truck in the storage unit. I may have had time had he been able to process the transaction properly. Then when we got back to the storage area which looks horrible by the way,the space was too small. I have to wind up going down the street to Public Storage and renting a space from them. He had too many people to wait on by himself at the end of the day and he was clearly frustrated. But when I asked him to help me get my car off of the car dolly he acted like you didn't want to do it you keep talking about how many other customers he had as if I wasn't one of them. Then when I finally returned the truck on the 4th a very rude woman waiting on me and asked me to please sweep out the inside of the U-Haul. The only thing that was on the inside of the U-Haul was one piece of cotton and one feather and I have never in my life been asked to clean out a U-Haul when I dropped it off. She was so rude and then she told me that if I didn't clean it out it would be a $25 fee. Now look on my Kik account I see another $21 and some change that has been deducted from my bank account and I don't know what that is for but that needs to be immediately put back onto my banking account. Overall I think this was the worst experience I have ever had was to U-Haul stores in my life and I have rented lots of U-Hauls.
