The manager at this facility (David) was very unprofessional and clearly has very little experience dealing with people. I personally will never use U-haul again, this experience moved us to just go ahead a purchase a company truck. If you are forced to use this location, be sure to video the vehicle before, during and after your usage to protect yourself. If you're 20 minutes late, you will be at least threatened with a late fee. You will be asked via text message to verify the exterior condition of the truck before you drive away, be very sure to also take many many interior pics, if there's a blemish you didn't think to point out, this location will try to muscle you into paying to have it fixed. I was overcharged for gas but I don't want to call and speak with them to dispute because they made me so uncomfortable. I failed to get the gentleman's name that helped us get a vehicle. We were in an accident close by, needed to unload my truck so it could be towed and stored until insurance processing. Picking up was a pain. I had to cancel my original reservation and create a new one.Kristin S.
Truck was dirty in the cab. Locks were broken in both doors which left me with the feeling the truck was not safe to leave. The website said the store would be open at 8:30. But they did not open until 9:00. This caused me to have a crew waiting for 30 minutes â€œon the clockâ€. I-haul should reimburse for this cost. The email sent to me did not have information concerning pick up of the keys from a a lock box. Again, this information would have allowed us to start earlier and avoid the Texas heat. Overall, U-Haul did a very poor job of communication which added to my cost and added additional stress to an already busy day. #1 David Walton the general manager at the 1400 Mcdonald location in Mckinney, is the only person you want to do business with. In this area and when I mean this area. I mean every single location between Plano, Princeton, Anna, other Mckinney locations and more. I have had to make 15 different reservations through what the online/mobile way which is like the only way to due business and its a complete failure! LET YOU CEO, PRESIDENT, EXECUTIVE ANYONE IN YOUR COMPANY WATCH ME AS A CUSTOMER DO A RESERVATION SO I CAN PROVE YOUR LOSING MORE MONEY THEN YOUR MAKING AND CAUSING ALOT OF EMOTIONAL DISTRESS TO YOUR CUSTOMERS. I OFFICALLY WILL NEVER USE UHAUL AGAIN (UNLESS WITH DAVID WALTON!) SO in other words I will never do business with uhaul unless it's directly with the best general manager you have have David Walton which should be in a higher position im very confident he would exceed yours and the customers expectations and experiences. Im appalled by uhual. After 10 days of dealing with a Uhaul I though I had it all figured out yesterday but NO UHAUL made my reservation to pick it up in person from a location with no people and since I completed the online check in I could modify how I picked up the truck. It happened to 2 other customers at the same exact time. I decided to live I stopped by talked with David Walton and he took so much stress and worry off my shoulders. He was a complete blessing to my family and im more then positive if since uhaul don't care about their customers im sure you don't care about David and undervalue and under appreciate him. When HE IS WHAT YOUR COMPANY NEEDS TO HELP YOU IMPROVE. Again im 100% willing to allow uhaul as a company watch me as a valuable customer try to do business with Uhaul. I'm sure once you did you would make the improvements needed to represent such a large company. MR. DAVID IF YOU SEE THIS WHICH I HOPE YOU REALLY DO. I went a little after 10 am May 24th... he had several customers and he was having issues with the payment system... once it was my turn he was polite and helpful... later around 2 pm I returned to pick up an AT at 2pm...
