Arrived at 10:00am with a note on door the representative would return at 10:30. He didn't return until 10:47am. He apologized and said he went on lunch. I was happy with the location and equipment. I was also happy with the customer service representative I spoke with at the 1-800 number. But I would never again use or recommend your online rental / return service and would only rent / return during office hours. The pick-up process was tedious and time-consuming. When it was time to return the equipment, the app could not verify my location for the drop off even though my phone setting was on. Since you don't offer an option to use the scan code at the drop off location, I had to call customer service. This caused me to spend 20 mins on hold, after a stressful and strenuous move. The rep was helpful and friendly but I will not use this service againAlfonso M.

Your company charged me 119 for 1 extra day when it says in big letters on van 29 per day after paying 350 for weekly rental. Also charged 25 for cleaning for a little sand on floor that came off my boots. I would assume due to corona virus you are cleaning all vehicles anyway. I will never rent a uhaul again.william M.

I think Uhaul has a horrible after hours drop off process. So much happens during a move and unfortunately I left my cell phone at home during check out and could not follow the appropriate processes and was charged an additional $20. Also, the prices you constantly list as your starting price points never really happen. I will never use Uhaul again. My rep was awesome though, its not his fault your processes are so poor. Inconveniencing everyone for an extra $20 on top of false advertising regarding your prices, be more upfront, it's 2020, people are tired of hidden fees, or hearing something completely different than what you advertised just because you want to get them in the door. The van I rented had apparently, according to the employee I dropped it off with, been rented for months to a heavy smoker with a dog or dogs. The van reeked of cigarette smoke, and both of the seats were covered in imbedded dog hair. I'm not sure this facility was doing anything to clean these vans between uses. Though nice enough, the employee acted utterly powerless to do anything about the condition of the van or the situation in general. My allergies are still bothering me from this experience. Sorry to write. Have had good experiences in the past with uhaul.james M.
Firstly, the digital check in was highly inconvenient as your customer service agents are slow to respond, even slower to address an issue and wholly incompetent and lacking common sense. I had to push back my reservation an hour and half waiting for your incompetent employees to assist me. Secondly, I requested a dolly with my order which was not in the truck nor expressed to me where I might be able to pick same up. This experience has made me never want to do business with UHaul ever again. That holds true for my endorsements. Worst customer service on the face of the earth and just bad experience. â€œHow you do one thing is how you do everything.â€Angel R.

Communication skills would be the first thing and treating a customer like it means something and not lying to a customer with help from your company's benefit Not the customers I experience overall was very bad it cost me money to rent from your company I was given a smaller truck and a trailer and told it would be the same size of the vehicle they were supposed to give me which was a 26 for her and gave me a 15 foot truck plus a trailer to equal the length but not height Enough in inside Now I'm paying for a storage for another month because I was not able to fill up the trailer and truck to remove my items the truck was smaller in size and with also the trailer and because of this it cost me more money I am very disappointed for the horrible experience I had with your companyAdmen N.

I picked up van on Tuesday (8/27/2019) morning about 9 AM....when I returned it on Wednesday (8/28/2019) it was about 1:45 PM...the place was locked up and I prefer to deal with a person than dropping the key into an orange box. Why was there no one available in the middle of the day?Howard S.

This whole experience has been awful. Last three times. I reserved at Tomar Automative in Patchogue, and when I go to pick up, it's not there, and we were sent to the East Patchogue location. Took 2.5 extra hours. Then, I go to drop off at Tomar (which is where I reserved and NEEDED to drop off) and it won't let me through the app since the location is now east patchogue. Then I get charged an extra fee. It's crap. Not talking highly of U-Haul right now.Cory M.

I am very upset with my experience yesterday using Uhaul. First off I was moving from Long Island NY to New Jersey. They told me I was not able to do a One way move, which would have saved me $100 easy. I thought Uhaul was known for picking up at one location and dropping it off at a totally different location. Then the employee helping me said he would help me out by not charging me for all 210 miles(round trip) but when the van was returned, I received a second charge, this one for the additional miles, so he completely lied to me. If you are going to offer a discount, then keep your word!! Don't say you will and then when I get home I get charged a second fee. Very unprofessional. Lastly I got emails from Uhaul talking about their $50 guarantee that I would be contacted the day before my scheduled pickup to confirm my reservation but I did not receive a call or email. When I told him that day of pickup, he did nothing about it.. Over all it was a horrible experience and I would never use Uhaul again. Paid over $300 to use a van for a few hours.
