I had a rough start to the morning as the access code for the lock box was text to a prior customer phone number. I immediately reach out to UHaul and they worked with me to obtain access to the key box. 1.5hrs I was on my way, U-Haul customer service representative accommodated with a discount. Overall a very positive experience, reliable vehicle, I felt U-Haul handled the delay in a professional manner and will use them again in the future.Frank S.

truck was beat up and had no gas in it, was told i would be refunded for adding fuel just to get it home and i was not , the vibration coking from the driveshaft/rear end was so bad i thought the truck was going to fall apart!! I was also told i could drop the truck off close to my travel destination but that was not the case as when i dropped the truck off i received a call stating if i left the truck there i would be charged $300!! ridiculous experience and inconvenience overall and i will not be visiting this location anymore.MICHAELJOSEPH F.

Everything went smoothly picking up and dropping off. Originally rented 4x8 trailer, but none within 50 miles , so I rented 5x8 for same price and actually glad I had extra room.Michael L.

Good evening I would like to share a very disappointing experience with UHaul Contract No. 26250031 First allow me to say that I have been a customer for a few years and would rent yearly for an annual June HS event I have had only good experiences until this rental experience I reserved and confirmed 15' truck, on May 3 for a June 25 12 noon pick up, for a one way move from Valley Stream NY to Charlotte NC on line On June 24 at approximately 1:15 in the afternoon I received a call from Shannon who informed me that there were no trucks available in my area and that I had to go to Patchogue LI to pick up truck and that they only had 20' trucks I explained to Shannon that Patchogue was more than 40 miles away form Valley Stream and That it would be a challenge to get there Friday morning to pick up the truck Shannon gave me the option to pick up the truck Thursday evening instead She promised a $50 credit and my original reservation price I agreed as I was informed that I had no other option I explained that I was on the way to work and would not be able to get to Patchogue before 11pm Shannon suggested that I download the Uhaul app which would allow me to pick up the truck after hours We made arrangements for me to pick up the 20' truck between 10:30 and 11:30 in Patchogue on Thursday On Thursday night I was able to get a ride to Patchogue I arrived at the Patchogue UHaul location at 10:15 and attempted to use the app to access the truck The response on the app informed me that I would have to pick up the truck in person after 9:00 Friday I called UHaul customer service at 11;22 to seek assistance I waited until 10:30, while on hold with customer service, tried the app again, and was still unable to access the truck At 11:00 pm a customer service representative finally picked up my call and informed me that she could see where I made arrangements to pick up the truck but that there was no key left in the lock box and that I would have to come back Friday morning after 9am I drove the 43 miles home in hope that the truck would be available Friday morning On Friday morning I had to take a Uber to the Mineola station to take the 9:51 Long Island Railroad to Ronkonkoma where a friend was able to pick me up and take me to UHaul At 11:00 on Friday I was finally able to get a 20' truck for my move to Charlotte The two trips to Patchogue delayed my preparation for the move which caused me to pay movers an extra hour Saturday, the day of the move I believe that I should be compensated for my extra expense and time loss that this situation caused Sidney Milden 917-355-1618 email@example.comSIDNEY M.
After filling out everything online including my license info I had to do it all again on location waiting on a single employee who had to use his personal phone to take pictures of my license and upload them on unsecured local public internet. It took 45 minutes from when I arrived till I had the vehicle and then you have the nerve to text me to approve the vehicle Condition. I don't work for uhaul, I know you want to go to full self service but you don't want to put in infrastructure. I used your self service before at this location and because of poor cell service I couldn't do it. So I decided this time to use the service counter to no avail.Shawn B.

Went to pick up my truck and no one was working there. The door was open, lights were on but no employee in sight. Had to call customer service to figure out how to get my rental. I rented two dollies and there was only one on the truck. Ordered 12 furniture pads and there were only four. Literally a pathetic excuses for a business, how do you have a store thats open with no one there?? And not to mention missing equipment, couldn't even get that right. I was happy with the location and equipment. I was also happy with the customer service representative I spoke with at the 1-800 number. But I would never again use or recommend your online rental / return service and would only rent / return during office hours. The pick-up process was tedious and time-consuming. When it was time to return the equipment, the app could not verify my location for the drop off even though my phone setting was on. Since you don't offer an option to use the scan code at the drop off location, I had to call customer service. This caused me to spend 20 mins on hold, after a stressful and strenuous move. The rep was helpful and friendly but I will not use this service againAlfonso M.
