I actually thought she was joking for the first minute she began talking. Then I realized, no this is not a joke. Zero empathy or desire to relate to the customer. Instead she responded each time with a robotic tone about corporate policy as if she’s been programmed to say it. I’ve rented a few uhauls over the past 12 months. This is the first location to require that I provide two emergency contacts that NEED to be physically called and spoken to by uhaul before renting. Absurd! Talk about a poor customer experience and delaying the pickup process… yikes!
JAMES PMade a reservation on U-Haul app, but couldn’t pick up the truck on the app, it was around 7pm so I had to call the customer service, and they told me I had to go on uhaul website to start the pickup process. In the end i was able to drive the truck away but the process was a little frustrating, why couldn’t I just start the pick up process on the app, and can you remember my id information so I don’t have to take pictures every time I need to rent a U-Haul.

Then she needed to talk with my emergency contacts because she will not accept just the cell number. In top of that the truck was very dirty with cat and dog hair! And dirt … so I am not happy at all. U-Haul used to give the trucks clean not filthy dirty .. I am extremely disappointed and I want a refund! I even return the truck with full tank

I had reserved a 10x10 unit and when I arrived to sign the rental documents, she said that there were none available. I have movers and a truck scheduled and was relying on this unit. I had to size up and pay more because of this issue. Not happy about that.

She was very friendly and truly seemed happy to help the customers coming to this U-haul. It is so rare nowadays to encounter an employee like her, but it makes the experience so so much better!
Mackenzie IThey're making a fraudulent claim against me stating that there was an accident to the vehicle that occurred at 12pm yet we had dropped it off at 11:10am before the required time. There is no physical way that the damage they are saying happened was caused by us. I was not emailed a receipt by them either. I got my receipt 4 hours after dropping the vehicle off by chatting with the live support on the u haul website. Not to mention I was disconnected for no reason at the beginning. Then I had to call the number to figure out what was happening and now I have a claim that's under review. The amount of disrespect and blatant lies by this store is disgusting. You should be ashamed of yourselves.
aubrey sThe managers, Ben and Christina were great! They treat me so good. I was homeless & in a shelter when I moved in due to COVID and they treat me with respect. The staff gave me water all the time in the summer cuz they knew I was walking from the bus stop in that heat. None of the staff ever treat me with disrespect because I was homeless, which happens a lot in other places. They were all so nice to me. I’m back on feet and have an apartment in Phoenix and a car. So I’m grateful that all of my belongings were safe and secure all that time. God Bless you all and thank you!

Jason COvercharged ( uhaul agent mis-entered mileage (more than actual) which caused an overcharge and then completed the sale PRIOR to me authorizing it( i found the error) . Overcharge could not be adjusted at the store, required intervention by a regional manager, who refunded the incorrect/ insufficient amount( did not refund the incorrect OVER mileage charge , just adjusted the original contract amount.

Scott WIt was ridiculous that I needed to have 2 separate people that they can call to verify my identity before I could rent the actual truck. This is intrusive and if I knew this before renting I would not have chosen to rent from this location. I am a 47 year old man, and this is the first time I have ever had something like this happen in my life. Unbelievable that I can rent a vacation home with less intrusiveness than renting a U-Haul truck.

CLAYTON KThe van that I rented smelled of cigarettes to the point that it was overwhelming. With that said however, your counter rep Mr. Robinson was amazing. By far the entire experience was excellent due to Robinson. A true consummate professional. If you haven't already, I would employ Robinson to train other employees regarding customer service. His professionalism, patience and common courtesy was outstanding! I'd give a perfect rating if it wasn't for the moble ashtray I had to drive. The rate, ease of paperwork and overall experience was great. Thanks Robinson for the assistance. I hope you get the recognition you absolutely deserve.

She made a stressful situation into a bearable and even enjoyable experience. My only frustration was not being able to return the 15' truck that I drove 3,600 miles at the same place as my storage unit, so I had to go to another U-Haul location to return the truck. It would have been nice to be able to return truck to same location as reserved storage location but they said the lot was full. Thanks

Christina was fantastic during the check in and pick up. Very kind, professional, caring and informative. The gentleman that helped us when dropping off was awesome as well. Again, very kind, polite and professional. Would definitely rent from this location in the future.

Lance W | Overall ExperienceOur little startup church was one of the original customers to move in to StorageOne over 15 years ago. We loved StorageOne and the owner and we had an excellent relationship for our first few years onsite. Then Uhaul took over and regularly moved the in-residence operators in and out, raised prices over time from $79 month to almost $249 a month while not using new revenues to invest in or upgrade entry doors, streets and gates, or paint, or hallway lighting over many many years. Horrible business model to forceout/overprice/take advantage of legacy founding customers who helped pay for the place while not investing back into the facility and not providing service excellence. I hated to leave but was forced out by people who do not care about their customers, only focused on the bottom line business. My advice to the owner is - (1) hire great people who understand and can implement and maintain focus on the customer experience and (2) upgrade the facility with new lighting and new technologies and (3) level set prices to market comparison and competitors who are invested in numbers 1 and 2 ahead of you.

The man who checked in and delivered the truck to me was very friendly, cheerful, and polite, and the young woman who received the truck back from me was equally so. You have good people there. The only thing I did not care for was the truck itself. Too many weird, newfangled things in the new trucks. Absolutely despise the auto stop engine feature in the newer vehicles. Makes me insane. Don’t like the push button start either. The auto bright on the headlights was equally irritating. Still no idea what the little row of red lights up on the dash in front of the wheel is for but it went off one time for whatever reason… My personal truck is a 2001 Chevy. I still have manual windows and automatic lock sensor that I have an option not to use. And I don’t. Maybe I am just getting too old for this unnecessary crap… Anyway, thanks for a great experience, I will definitely come back if I need to!

Debra W | Overall ExperiencePaid more in fuel then I needed to. The file gauge needle never moved even after driving almost 50 miles. But I knew I needed to refuel. Turns out I spent 20 in gas that I didn't need to. The needle NEVER moves even after filling it up, so it seems it was broken. I topped off the gas. When 42 miles and paid for 4.3 gallons of gas, that's 10 miles per gallon. Disappointed that I paid way in more gas then necessary beucase the fuel needle didn't move.

nathan cI chose this location due to close proximity to my residence. I rented a 15 ft truck to move my daughter from an apartment. It was a hot day 118 to be exact and the air conditioning worked initially but then stopped working. I rented the vehicle for 24 hrs and returned it within 6 1/2 hrs. When I returned the vehicle, I advised the representative there was an issue with the AC. I asked for some sort of compensation in return. The vehicle I rented should have had AC especially in Arizona. He advised I needed to speak to the Manager/owner Christine in the am. I was contacted by Christine who advised me the AC worked fine. I asked her why would I lie. She tested the truck at 90 degrees F not 118. The vehicle obviously needed Freon. It also had approximately 140,000 miles on it. Considering the amount of money I spent to rent the vehicle, you would have thought they would meet me not even halfway, but some sort of reimbursement for renting a truck with no AC. Christine would not consider it and told me I should have contacted roadside assistance. Who has time on a deadline to call for an AC repair/ roadside assistance? You call roadside assistance for a flat tire or engine issues. Not AC. It is the businesses responsibility to provide a full working vehicle. Customer service at this location is like dealing with robots. I would never recommend this location to anyone. Last year I rented a Penske truck for less than what I paid here. Again it was for convenience sake. I will not ever make this mistake again. Big disappointment! I would rate this location zero stars!

The fact that the units were climate controlled and very clean was what drew me to this facility. My belongings stayed safe and protected from heat damage for over two years during the pandemic and record summer heat. Ben said he would send me an email re: account closure after his walkaround to confirm I moved out. Never received email of account closure. June 5: I received an email that payment had not been received for the storage unit and I would be charged a late fee. Assumed Ben had not completed requested actions. I called the office & spoke with Chelsea (?) who fixed the issue once I explained the situation. In the future, check-out should be done upon request to avoid late fees & account charges in error.
