I realize this may be out of your control, but construction requires that I parked on one side of the building, enter the other, and then drive all the way around to hook up to my trailer. Better signage would help here.

I have and STILL have the worst experience with the Ogden location. I rented a storage unit, a truck and trailer. Was told by the redhead girl at the Ogden store my truck wasn't at this location. NOBODY contacted me. She was a VERY rude person who tried to talk down to me. Not a good idea. I had to go to the Sunset site which was out of my way and I was late getting the truck to my place for the movers. The guy at this location was VERY professional and polite. He looked into the computer system and found that nobody tried to reach out to me to let me know my pickup location had changed. He gave me the owners card who owns BOTH locations and said he would want to know what happened. Sadly I mistakenly threw it away. I went back to the Ogden location where my storage unit was, and again was met with unprofessional and less then knowledgeable people. I told them I wanted the monthly payment to come out of my account, gave them my card, my email and my new address in Colorado. I again found that they never followed through and never charged my account on June 30th so I ended up having to pay a $15.00 late fee, not only that they somehow don't have my email address? How is this possible when I have received numerous emails from the Sunset site! I am not happy. Also TODAY I received a message from someone named Sierra who stated my lock isn't completely locked and I need to come there to lock it. What in the heck? I live in COLORADO! They should pull up my info to see my location. They can lock it themselves, they have cameras so they can use that to just lock the lock! I wonder if anyone will even read this? Let's just see if you respond, I want that 15.00 fee put back on my card. I am going to have a lot to say online about this location and will reach out to the owner.

There are plenty of vehicles to choose from which is great. When I received the vehicle the gas was lower that what was stated I went back in to tell let them know and was told they could not change it on the documents and to take a picture. It is kind of hard to take a picture of both the miles and the gas gauge. Just a little annoying....

The system is messed up! I rented a truck for 1 day and return with in 24hr and I was charged for 2 days. I was also charged $28 for 2 dollies which suppose to be $14. We took care of that problem after drop off the truck, and my total charge came down to $69. After 2 days I was charged for $130 on my bank account! Now I have to go over to Uhaul to fix that again!!

I had reserved the truck online, I guess I reserved it with the wrong rate since the website was confusing. When I returned the truck, David was and to help me get the right rate that ended up saving me over $100. I'd definitely go back to the Sunset location again.

I had to use 2X4'S to get my car safely in the trailer. The size of the 2X4's should be known by the employees so we don't blindly cut them and they end up being too long then we have no way to cut them again down to size.

Everything went great with no problems except when it came time to pay. People need to understand that you are not going to pay just 19.95 to rent. When it was all said and done I ended up spending around 90 dollars. You have to pay for mileage and fuel.

The general manager helped me today and yesterday when I was buying packing supplies. He has excellent customer service skills!! And he clearly knew his job and how to communicate what was expected when you rent a vehicle. It’s obvious he enjoys his job and he’s very knowledgeable about UHaul. I found it a very pleasant experience and the equipment was perfect for what I needed today.

While the customer service is excellent at this location the granny attic of the rental truck had not been cleaned by previous user, there was instant rice all over the floor of it. We had an older truck that overheated and luckily it occurred near a truck stop. We also experienced a right rear oil or brake fluid leak on our driveway.

Representative who helped us was very kind and sweet but had a lot of difficulty troubleshooting problems with the computer and needed manager support. Manager on duty was very well informed and knew how to solve problems but I recommend that she also focus on teaching employees so that when there are only two people working the store, one person is not incapacitated by lack of experience.

you need more competent associates. it took over 45 minutes to complete the rental process and we had reserved the trailer we needed ahead of our arrival.

Upon returning the trailer the gentleman was looking over the trailer and asking me if this damage happened with me or that damage ect. I told him that I had no idea on the condition of the trailer as I had to hook it up myself. He then asked if I took pictures. I told him no, and why would I as the person who rented me the trailer in Idaho told me that with buying the insurance the entire trailer was covered for any and all damage. He took far too much time worrying about this and it wasn’t necessary to keep me there while he inspected a trailer that had the insurance.

I decided to use Uhaul for my most recent move since I have used it in the past and had a good experience. I went to the Sunset Utah location to set up my reservation. That was easy to set up and I decided I only needed the truck from 1130am-6pm. My move ended up taking longer than needed and I needed to extend my reservation that night. I had a conversation with a representative over the phone who assured me as long as I return the truck by the following day at 9am i would be within 24 hours and would not be charged an extra day. This was perfect. The next day when returning the truck at 9am i was charged for 2 days of rental fees and 2 days of insurance fees. I told the employee helping me out of what i was told and instead of immediately trying to look into it she told me there was nothing they could do. I was livid. 40 dollars isnt a ton of money but i expect to be told truthful information when its my money being used. The next girl to help me swore multiple times such as oh that fucking sucks and i would be fucking mad too.. this is very unprofessional and i could see this turning many customers away. The manager ended up helping me in the end. But this could've been a better experience if the first 2 people knew what they were doing and were professional about it.

The app is advertised as a more convenient way of reserving a vehicle. From my experience, it is not more convenient, but a way for UHaul to push the edits and labor from their staff to the customer. I had to do all the work that employees have dinner for me when I have rented in the past. The app also is not a way to reserve without having to talk to employees, as you still have to get a key from them. I'm disappointed in the online reservation and pickup process.

The staff was not only unfriendly, but down right rude, especially Carli. I confronted her with it and she told me she was tired because she works two jobs. When I finished up my paperwork, I was handed the keys and told the truck was out toward main Street. Ok?? There were several trucks out toward main Street. I did manage to find it. In addition to being rude, their shirts were filthy. I get that they clean the vehicles after they are returned and that it is probably a dirty job, so maybe light green isn't the best choice for shirt color. Just my opinion. Very unprofessional. I was very disappointed

Charging a per-mile fee on top of a daily "rental fee" AND "rental charge" then still requiring the gas tank to be full on drop-off is a rip-off. If you're charging per mile that should more than cover the cost of refueling the vehicle if its returned less-than-full. Perhaps consider waiving at least some miles for returning a vehicle with a full tank?

They lie about the mileage to try to milk for more money. I started at 1150 miles according to your own printout and return with 1153. He told me it was at 1155. I called him on it and his answer was, "Well, I'm giving you back about $74." I said why are you charging me for 2 more miles. Then he dropped it down to 1154, which was still not correct. But I was done arguing over 79cents. I realize it's a small amount of money but it is still ripping people off. Believe me when I say that I will spread the word about Uhaul by mouth and media.

I declined the insurance when checking in online. And declined at the reception counter. But when checking back in found that they had included the $14 safe movers coverage. This is the second time this has happened at this location. It's the closest proximity to me so my choice is to continue going to this location, or pay additional miles to rent from a different location.

Wasnt the location I requested wasnt offered an option of others. Not the truck size I requested or the time I requested, which put me not being able to take some items to the sump becaise they closed before could get there. Also with having to return truck back to same location for the 19.95 deal due to mileage I should have just chosen to drop off at different location could have saved money. Definately will shop around more on prices next time.

My only concern with this rental and what was upsetting to me is I went down and spoke with the store manager and person showed him a difference in mileage told him that the truck had been clocking me at more than twice the miles at some points like 10 blocks equated to 4 miles and he walked over to the child he took a picture of the mileage and that was that I returned the truck yesterday I was charged $113 for gas I went a hundred and thirty-five miles so they say but if you take off the 25 miles I got clocked I actually went a hundred and ten but even at a hundred and thirty-five miles it does not come up to $113 and I ate express how I felt and I was told that there is an environmental fee involved I get that I pay that at the time of check-in or so I'm told I'm so I'm trying to still understand why I got charged over $100 for gas when it only shows to be $90 and also why I had to pay the full 25 miles that I wasn't responsible for that I went down and spoke to the manager for it I mean I paid it because while I write Uhaul a lot but in all honesty I do right Uhaul a lot and I don't believe I've ever said that the vehicle is clocking me at twice the amount and I didn't say clock me at 40 50 miles to cut my bill in half I simply stated the facts it clocked me double more than once resulting in 25 miles I wrote it down every time it did at the beginning mileage the ending mileage and so I guess my only thing would be for them to maybe value their customers more and take into consideration that not every customer isn't truthful and that sometimes stuff does happen and accommodate for that because $25 at 770 cents a mile is quite a bit and it wasn't fair and that is the reason for the average rating the people that work there while a few of them were very nice lady named cat help me for the most part she was amazing and there was another guy that was working with her that was very helpful and very nice I don't remember his name but he sold me a locked I'm sure he had to log into the computer to do that but I just think that value your customers I guess is the bottom line here

We were sorely disappointed with this location. The truck was okay, but not great. It got us from point A to point B, but it did make some concerning noises while turning the steering wheel at certain speeds or angles. The transmission slipped regularly also and was a safety concern when driving in heavy traffic or in less than ideal driving conditions, like after sundown or before sunrise. The utility dolly was an embarrassment. It was so beat up and rusty with lots of chipped and bent surface areas. It was serviceable, I suppose, but very dirty and rough on the hands. Gloves were a requirement. Most noteworthy was the terrible service and downright rude, unprofessional and counterproductive treatment by the young woman "helping" us. She wasn't the main one taking care of us, but kept "butting in" and "helping." She seemed to be in a leadership position, perhaps manager or shift leader, not sure. Her behavior was not helpful. At all. We found it to be intrusive, disruptive and annoying. We felt intimidated into keeping the aforementioned dolly that was less than decent. We mentioned the above listed problems with it and she dismissed our concerns immediately, responding with, "It's just cause we paint them orange." What does that have to do with anything? Especially rust, chipping and bent frame? She repeatedly tried to change our order in ways we didn't want or need. The young man who sold us the package in the Wall Street, Ogden location got us exactly what we needed. We neither needed nor wanted her "help," changing our order or trying to talk us into changes. She also told us that we couldn't have the free month of storage because it was an in-town or one-way move. When we told her that the young man at Ogden had assured us that we could have that deal, she continued to argue with us about it for several minutes. Ultimately, she just walked away and let the young woman checking us in handle things. That young lady was very professional, courteous and helpful. She efficiently completed our order and also helped us quickly through a billing/computer issue. We are long time, loyal u-haul customers and have always been extremely pleased with the equipment and service, so this experience was disappointing and upsetting, to say the least. We were also treated very rudely when we returned the truck at the Wall street, Ogden location. Not initially, but after we returned the truck and went to return the dolly, the young woman who "helped" us with that, was rude and unprofessional. She ignored me standing there at the counter, in front of her, for several minutes and to get her attention, I finally had to say, "Excuse me." She treated me like an intrusion and seemed more interested in conversing with a coworker than meeting my needs. She was dismissive also. We wanted to pass along with "constructive" criticism and make you aware of the problems with customer service. We would also like financ

Overall, This place got the job done, but the customer service needs improvement. The Kid that checks in rental returns was insulting. He had an attitude problem from the get-go. First of all, I paid for the $8 insurance, just saying. This kid wouldn't let me unhook the trailer until he checked all 4 tire pressures wich IF one was low, what would you charge me for air? Really? Stop wasting my time dude! I should have been able to drop it off and go. After He asked me twice in the same asshole voice if I could back it back in its spot, I agreed. after I backed it in, he asked. "So, What really happened to the trailer"? Don't insult me, KID! I confronted him about his attitude and he blamed it on the person he works for, he said that person made him scared or something. Whatever dude! This place is looking for any tiny little thing they can get away with charging somebody. that's the overall impression I got.

I ordered a utility dolly and it wasn’t in the truck. Well I took off without it and had to turn around. I did self service and it didn’t tell me to grab my dolly before I left, so I assumed it was in the truck. I got to my destination around 5 miles away and had to turn back around after being on hold for 30 minutes with a U-Haul rep. I was furious as I had to wait in line and then someone butted in front of me to top it off. At that point I lost it and shouted where I could find my dolly. I then took the one they had in the front and left. I paid for it. I shouldn’t have waited to ask a question, nor be charged a double trip to U-Haul to get something I paid for in the first place. I burned an hour of the time I could have been moving, and time I rented for, all for a dolly. I wasn’t happy, but I was grateful for U-Haul and their services to get us to our new pad. Always grateful, but there can be better processes for self help portal unless of course, I missed it somewhere. Thank you and I’ll be back!

The trailer I rented had a loose wheel. Thankfully my brother-in-law spotted this issue before I started my 765-mile journey from Utah to Oregon. I then spent several hours waiting for U-Haul Roadside Assistance to examine the issue and ultimately exchange the trailer, at which time the contents had to be moved from one trailer to another. U-Haul should look equipment over thoroughly after it has been returned before renting it out again.

All the staff were friendly and courteous. I believe the price of the RV parking space was Way too high, which is why I was forced to end my rental agreement.
