Every thing was smooth and efficient one wish would be a slightly longer ramp. The current one is rather steep and makes for a tougher push. We ended up just handing up a lot of things.

When I showed up for my reservation at the W. Michigan location in Jackson, MI to obtain the equipment it was broken. This caused the employee to call around and find another unit. Then I had to drive 20 minutes to the E. Michigan store to get the trailer I needed. Once at the second store they clerk seemed confused and not well versed on the computer system or rental equipment. This is the second time I have had an issue with this location and why I tried going to a different one to start.

We tried to contact two other locations before getting help finding 5x8 trailer. Monroe Mi location was no help at all. Adrian MI at least help contact Jackson MI for locating trailer.

The staff here are overwhelmed it seems, and it is hit or miss if you get someone who is actually friendly. They do not explain the process very well, explanations are mechanical and very fast, hard to follow. The staff at check-in made me feel like it was a burden if I were to ask for clarification. The second person I came in contact with at the end of the day was extremely kind, and made the return of my rental trailer as easy as could be. His kindness made up for the rude behavior of the first employee. I have a lot of patience and understanding for overworked employees because I was one myself, at the end of the day I was satisfied with my experience because of the last person I was dealing with. A prime example of what a little kindness can do. I will recommend to friends if they ask about the service in Jackson.

Reserved a 15 foot truck because I needed the ramp to move bedroom furniture and an exercise bike from my dad‘s condo. During my “clean up“ of the truck after use, it was evident I received a less than cleanly vehicle. I could tell by the extra debris and dead/shriveled spiders. Also, I rented two dozen furniture pads, not knowing his movers already had the furniture in shrink wrap. Opened one of the four packs and did not touch the other three. I asked to be reimbursed for these and was told I could not because I “rented“ them. Feels like I definitely got ripped off on this rental!

Overall had a good experience and we will use your services again. I did rent a dolly and it was not in the truck, and I was still charged for it. I would just clear up that process because in the chaos of moving it didn't cross my mind to ask if it was in the truck, I think your reservation system says or implies that it will just be in the back of the truck and ready to go when you pick it up. I also couldn't return the truck with the app because I took a picture of the gas gauge, locked the truck, and then turned in the key. The app required a new photo and does not let you use one from your camera roll. Other than that your app and website are great.

The staff at this location are extremely rude and unprofessional. I had problems with my storage unit from the MOMENT I signed the lease, and wouldn't have signed at all if I wasn't stuck. The people working never answer the phone, and have such an awful attitude. And when I tried to call your corporate number for customer service, it was an equally awful experience and I was stuck dealing with it. Finally able to move my things out - NEVER giving your company another time of my money or second of my time, EVER.

UHaul is a great asset to the City of Jackson. It fixed up the old K Mart building into a nice looking business.

The uhaul app was not user friendly. Too many steps and too many add ons. Ended up renting 2 trucks by mistake. Could not use the check in or return options.

My iPass was left in the truck. After several attempts to talk to someone about getting it back - NO RETURN CALLS - I ended up having to report it stolen. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. Again, I will never use U-Haul again.

At pick up and drop off your works were RUDE AND MAD FOR NO REASON not helpful at all. EXTREMELY TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I will NEVER RETURN TO THIS LOCATION OR RECOMMEND ANY to this LOCATION. However. I will say at pick up time the lady did change her attitude. So that was ok, BUT AT DROP OFF I FELT I EXPERIENCED RACISM AND RUDENESS FROM HIM!!!! WONT EVER RETURN YO THIS LOCATION!

The dark-haired woman that checked us out was beyond rude. When I walked in I did not have a mask on because I am from Missouri and we listed our mask mandate weeks ago. I forgot I had travel into Michigan and didn't see a sign and she jumped all over me. Then when I explained to her that I had filled out the documents she rudely told me that I did not and that I still had to fill out a contract with her. I wld never go back there or recommend anyone there.

The "general manager" John Collier is rude. He is not interested in customer service. He makes you feel like an inconvenience. I spent nearly $2000 there and he could give a flip. I thought maybe it was just me, but he talked to everyone who came in there the same way. I will never recommend him or that place to anyone.

Waited in return line for over 30 minutes. When I got out of my car, an employee walked outside and said, “what do you want.” I politely said I was returning equipment. No apologies from her she just said there are only two of us. I understand being understaffed I did not appreciate the first sentence that came out of her mouth when she saw me. I will not be using this location again. I will also deter my family and friends from using it.

Fantastic experience! Dedicated staff. Kind and helpful within the busiest season. Also, I wanted to share that Ryan is an incredible leader at the Ames Iowa Uhaul site located at Duff. Ryan works harder than most people who own businesses. He either owns the Uhaul and/or he’s passionate about making the moving experience a good one. Honestly, when it comes to me moving, Uhaul has a very happy and determined staff — set on making moves easy, friendly and efficient. I appreciate the way Uhaul handles things and swear that this is one of America’s unsung essential services that really needs a round of national applause, and if all goes as planned; I intend to share this message with leadership in the government. It seems to me that moving is one of the most stressful times in a persons life span. Uhaul has, so far, never let me down. Uhaul: I’m impressed you allow people to set a promissory note. In Ames, and in Jackson, there was no hate or degrading comments for the person who asked about that matter. Nationally, who does that?; unless you declare your a business (not many companies). I am a new business owner and this move is establishing a new business where demand exists for the services we offer. In a Pandemic, to have a moving company behave in that way makes the entire rental experience more meaningful and significant in humanitarian ways. Thanks!

After moving my stuff in, about a month later we went to check on it and it was infested with roaches, in which we were told we had to treat ourselves. When moving out we had set a arrangement up to move our stuff out a few days after the rent was due but we explained we had to go out of state for a funeral and they were fine with it. When we went to move our stuff out they “had no recollection of the conversation “ and forced us to pay a months worth of rent that we weren’t going to use. The owner/manager John is NEVER there. Everyone was rude but one lady who works part time.

the staff at uhaul are the rudest people in the world ... the only person there that was amazing was Teresa she was very helpful and a blessing to uhaul... and an amazing person ... wish all the staff at uhaul would take a class from her on how to treat people... I dont understand in this point in time with everything going on ... I lost my job cause of the covid and got two months behind. went I with a month payment and the guy that was working would not take my month payment ... he said I need to pay the two months I was behind ... I was dumbfounded and knew at three months they sell off my stuff .... this is wrong of uhaul not to work with people when life is so bad right now ! shame shame on uhaul.... but big plus and a gold star to the only employee Teresa that was kind and very helpful thank you to her

I would recommend this place to a friend, but tell them to never call because no one ever answers the phone. I spent going on 3 hours trying to cancel my storage unit because i didn't have the time to go over to the office. They were friendly when we were there, otherwise it was like they never existed.

I have a half inch gap in my sternum with over a dozen broken ribs which make it hard to breath anyway. Your strict mask policy left me clinging to the light post out front gasping for breath, thanks for that assholes, i should call the feds for abusing the handicapped.
