Courteous, but when a customer does a confirmation and they are told what cost will be,when they arrive the day of rental. The price should be what ever is quoted over the phone., the total amount. The staff here don’t like their jobs and everyone can tell. The service is very slow and employees are often spotted on their phones while attending to customers. And the policies of uhaul as a whole are ridiculous. Having to pay an entire months rent when you’re moving two days after your bill is due is utterly ridiculous.

There was little to no communication from the Jackson facility. I used three out of four UBoxes, and they still charged me for the fourth box that never even left their lot. It was also shipped with my belongings even though it had no lock and no one apparently checked to see if it was empty. I was put three days behind on moving because of their incompetence. I am glad that my belongings arrived safely, but that is the only thing satisfactory about this transaction. I would NOT recommend this service to ANYONE, especially from this facility.
By contrast, the Chattanooga location was quick, professional, friendly, and easily contacted. They were wonderful and made a horrible experience at least somewhat better.
If UHaul wants to continue to do business in West Tennessee, changes are desperately needed at the Jackson facility.

We ordered a trailer to unload our pod and the employee refused to help us hook it up to the truck because it was raining. She had us pull under a canopy to check the trailer and when we got out, there was a significant amount of screws and other items on the ground that could have caused damage to the vehicle. They did not have the pod ready and tried to say we didn’t give 24 hour notice but when they checked. It was confirmed we had. When the pod was brought out, it was bolted closed and they did not have the tools to open it so we had to get our own tools to remove the bolts. While the staff helping with the Pod out back was friendly, the service up front was not and the location was not clean. This all came after a lot of confusion around delivery of the pod to our new residence (which did not occur) and spending the day prior making several phone calls to get clarification that ultimately just ended with us being transferred to three different people. It was a very stressful and upsetting experience.

From the start things did not go well. The corporate booking people made my reservations for a van and trailer at this facility and when I got there they did not have the van. The manager helped me locate one that was thirty minutes away in another town. I needed this due to my vehicle breaking down and to get back home. So, no car and not familiar with this town or area and the manager just shriveled his shoulders and told me to Uber to go get the van and then come back for the trailer. Bad customer service. And what's worse is the place I had to go get the van originally had the trailer that morning. They went to pick it up and move it to their store, but wouldn't help someone out with getting the van. It gets even better. The hooked up the trailer, but couldn't get the lights to work. I had to fix that too. If I can help it I will never use uhaul again.

$400 for a one day rental is ridiculous!!! Gas was filled where it needed to be. I have spent a ton of money on packing supplies to move from California to TN. This is by far the single most expensive dollar amount for a one day rental ever. I usually don't write reviews, but this one deserves a bad revue. We had to drive more than an hour from our home in Henderson to pick up and return this rental. There is no logic behind this but highway robbery. You can verify my uhaul account in San Clemente CA.

At this facility they took and sold all my personal belongings at an Auction that I was not informed about and I have been paying my storage fee and the Lsdy that had helped me her name was Beverly and now she has been let go!!! I went to pay my bill yesterday and couldn’t cause it came upon the screen that my stuff was sold to auction and what reason this happened I have all the receipts and transactions that took place and I will be contacting my lawyer and Corporate about this so my overall concern is none poor business and letting this happened I give this a 0 and will not recommend no one to this place at Old Hickory

The rental process was easy and convenient. The original unit I was suppose to be in was a mess and had water leaking from the roof and thank goodness there was a bigger unit available that was closer to the loading and unloading bays. When I ended my rental, I was called asking if I was still using the first smaller unit and then I received a bill to pay for a month that I did not use.

So far, this has been a great experience! The staff was very helpful and informative during my visit to the site. He explained everything to me, and made sure I understood everything. The facilities are super nice and clean. I really love having the garage to load and unload! It was raining last night when I took my first load to my unit, so having that cover was awesome!! My family came to help me unload, and they were very impressed with the facilities! I think you're going to have some more new customers! I'll definitely recommend to others.

Our unit was inside and supposed to be climate controlled but it was not. When we cleaned out our unit, a lot of our belongings were covered in mold and mildew. It was very disappointing to have to throw things away. Also, there were roaches everywhere, including the bathroom. I feel like we wasted our money here.

After I was given a unclear answer of my move out due date and or billing cycle date I rushed to Clear my unit. When I returned to turn in my card I was greeted with an empty front counter. I waited for almost 40 min even broke my phone on a hand truck in the process or pacing. The employee later pulled into the lot in a U-Haul truck an was very unapologetic.

They are incompetent about everything going on there.When we backed up to put our stuff in our storage building,we were using the bay door to get everything in.They gave us the wrong keys to lock and pull they bay doors.All the numbers we used were wrong.We waited for someone to come up there but no one did.We waited 3 hours from 12am to 3am…..Never again

I was told I was put on auto pay.i wanted to prepay but was told not I couldn't bc I was on autopay I was not and was charged a late fee I paid the fees and the next day came to close my storage account as I said I would when I paid. The lock was still on the unit despite being paid up. Office staff said they were uhaul and storage guy wasn't in She had an attitude about having to remove the lock storage unit contained water damage from previous leak and a rat trap. Won't be back. Wouldn't recommend. I've had other storage units on auto pay without problems. Not sure what the drama is with this location. When I paid Wednesday, two more people pulled up as I was leaving complaining of the same thing so apparently it's a common occurance.

I was a lil irritated yesterday but the gentleman there never got out of character with me he was still friendly and patient…I really appreciate him…I had to apologize to him but it wasn’t nothing he did…it was just so much going on and he was so understanding and I really appreciate him for being so patient and helpful with me…Ill definitely recommend talking with him…give him a raise…he deserves it…excellent worker…his name is Marco Standifer…I really appreciate your customer service support on 01/30/2022

The people were not personable at all. They didn't tell me that I had to have a certain type of lock on my storage unit. I put my own on there and came back the next day, they had put their own lock on there and didn't give me the keys untill I paid for the lock. No warnings that they would be putting a lock on there. Pretty much was robbed of my stuff untill I bought their lock. Horrible experience but the storage unit was clean.

The car dolly that we rented to go from Port St. Lucie Florida to Jackson Tn was portly repaired in the past. The passenger side lights on the dolly didn’t work and The wheel well was rubbing on the tire and ate a hole in the wheel well and carved a valley in the tire 2/3 of the way through the trip. The issue added a lot of extra, unneeded stress to an already stressful move. The dolly should have never been issued out at it was not legal for travel on the roads. I will never recommend UHaul again.

They girl that helped us (Kiki?) was super helpful but she had to call her manager for help because it wouldn’t let her check us in and her manager said I’m busy doing something and she said well I need your help and the manager again said I’m busy and hung up. Which was super frustrating for everyone. Kiki gets 5 stars but the manager gets 0!!! Very unprofessional.

Very very rude workers. They overcharged me on miles , I only went 5. I had to pay for 15. They didnt show me my truck, had to go outside and find it on my own. They had no utility dolly’s for rent. My experience was horrible. The woman had a attitude. They were eating chick-fil-a at the desk while ringing me up.

We cleaned out the storage unit before the beginning of the next month and Was still charged for an whole months rent that we did not use. They also added a late fee of $20 which should not have been charged as they had our info on file and auto drafted this charge so it was not our fault they overdrafted it late. The manager was rude and would not refund my husband even the late fee they charged. We will not use the storage facility at this location again in the future and will not recommend it to friends because of the poor customer service.
