The truck was rough sounding engine wise but ran fine. The staff was unstaffed at the counter. The trucks cup holder area had damage that wasn’t disclosed. The parking of the truck was 100yards from the lobby area.

Some concern over slight delay in obtaining due to only one check-in person and several people in line. Mix-up due to no knowledge of what I was to do with return of dolly. Backed it into location, but due to not being able to physically remove from my hitch I had to drive backup to the building, stand-in line and then only to be told the guy outside would take it off. Problem was I have to use a cane and cannot walk that well. Got back into my vehicle and proceeded back to the dolly location. The guy I was to see was near the location assisting another renter and assisted me with the disconnect as soon as he could. He then stated when I ask - you are ready to go. He was very work oriented and courteous - great employee. I do not remember being told or directed to read anywhere that the return was that simply - would have been a nice to know to both save time and me having to move from place to place including having to use a cane.

After I left with the trailer, I got a text message instructing me to take pictures before I left. If you want me to take pictures, the person doing the paperwork should mention that. The guy that hooked it up was very nice (everyone was) and he took one or more pictures.

The vehicle wasn’t very clean when I picked it up. And there was a cleaning fee added after I turned in the rental that was no disclosed prior to taking the truck. I don’t believe I should have to pay the $25 fee when I didn’t get the truck dirty at all, and it wasn’t shared that there would be a fee beforehand.

I gave a 4 star review only because they would not prorate my rental fee for me. I had paid $79.95 on time for 8 months. My storage fee was due June 27th and I informed them I would be moving everything out and closing out account on July 8th and if they would prorate my fee. They would not. So I paid $79.95 for 11 days of storage. Not fair!

Make sure the trucks works fine before a customer gets it especially when driving 832 miles away. The truck kept cutting off and when you cut it off to get Gas it takes about 4 times before it cranks up. The tire on the driver back side was shaking bad as well

After a systems issue delayed me by about 45 min it was pretty smooth. The young lady at the desk was pleasant and was diligent in getting me on my way. I will say- the air conditioning in the truck was basically non-existent. That was the worst part of the experience.

I have been with U-Haul for right at ten years from Wisconsin to Tennessee. Cons: The black lady in your customer service area is very rude and should be reminded that all customers should be respected. I tried calling for two days to this location to alert of my move with no response. Finally, someone answered day three. I should not be billed any longer. Pros: The building was always accessible anytime, I rented both outside and inside units.

The staff barely want to help . I went in there to rent a truck that I had a reservation for the lights were off when I went at 11:30 and when I went back at 420 mind you I was there 5.5 hours and never got a truck had to go to a different location just to come back because my storage was at the old hickory location. They complain they didn’t have a manager so it was some things they couldn’t do . Like let rent a cargo van after I had rented one a week prior saying policies have changed .

The staff here don’t like their jobs and everyone can tell. The service is very slow and employees are often spotted on their phones while attending to customers. At this facility they took and sold all my personal belongings at an Auction that I was not informed about and I have been paying my storage fee and the Lsdy that had helped me her name was Beverly and now she has been let go!!! I went to pay my bill yesterday and couldn’t cause it came upon the screen that my stuff was sold to auction and what reason this happened I have all the receipts and transactions that took place and I will be contacting my lawyer and Corporate about this so my overall concern is none poor business and letting this happened I give this a 0 and will not recommend no one to this place at Old Hickory

Thank you for the ability to leave a review because I was going to call corporate. This locations’ employees has the WORST WORST WORST attitudes I have seen at a facility and is ruining UHaul. You may want to do training, I was treated poorly and I will NEVER again utilize UHaul storage services or recommend to ANYONE due to the terrible customer service and my experience at this location.

The rental process was easy and convenient. The original unit I was suppose to be in was a mess and had water leaking from the roof and thank goodness there was a bigger unit available that was closer to the loading and unloading bays. When I ended my rental, I was called asking if I was still using the first smaller unit and then I received a bill to pay for a month that I did not use.

So far, this has been a great experience! The staff was very helpful and informative during my visit to the site. He explained everything to me, and made sure I understood everything. The facilities are super nice and clean. I really love having the garage to load and unload! It was raining last night when I took my first load to my unit, so having that cover was awesome!! My family came to help me unload, and they were very impressed with the facilities! I think you're going to have some more new customers! I'll definitely recommend to others.

Our unit was inside and supposed to be climate controlled but it was not. When we cleaned out our unit, a lot of our belongings were covered in mold and mildew. It was very disappointing to have to throw things away. Also, there were roaches everywhere, including the bathroom. I feel like we wasted our money here.

After I was given a unclear answer of my move out due date and or billing cycle date I rushed to Clear my unit. When I returned to turn in my card I was greeted with an empty front counter. Anyone can get in and out of the storage facility and the facility is infested with roaches. If I find roaches in my newly renovated apartment I will be contacting uhaul. Y’all ripped me off from the rental of my truck for three days and 50 miles to the tune of $800 to selling my storage without contacting me. I’m livid I never received notice until it was already sold? I’m preparing a press release today for several media platforms. I was told I was put on auto pay.i wanted to prepay but was told not I couldn't bc I was on autopay I was not and was charged a late fee I paid the fees and the next day came to close my storage account as I said I would when I paid. The lock was still on the unit despite being paid up. Office staff said they were uhaul and storage guy wasn't in She had an attitude about having to remove the lock storage unit contained water damage from previous leak and a rat trap. Won't be back. Wouldn't recommend. I've had other storage units on auto pay without problems. Not sure what the drama is with this location. When I paid Wednesday, two more people pulled up as I was leaving complaining of the same thing so apparently it's a common occurance.

I was a lil irritated yesterday but the gentleman there never got out of character with me he was still friendly and patient…I really appreciate him…I had to apologize to him but it wasn’t nothing he did…it was just so much going on and he was so understanding and I really appreciate him for being so patient and helpful with me…Ill definitely recommend talking with him…give him a raise…he deserves it…excellent worker…his name is Marco Standifer…I really appreciate your customer service support on 01/30/2022

The people were not personable at all. They didn't tell me that I had to have a certain type of lock on my storage unit. I put my own on there and came back the next day, they had put their own lock on there and didn't give me the keys untill I paid for the lock. No warnings that they would be putting a lock on there. Pretty much was robbed of my stuff untill I bought their lock. Horrible experience but the storage unit was clean.

The car dolly that we rented to go from Port St. Lucie Florida to Jackson Tn was portly repaired in the past. The passenger side lights on the dolly didn’t work and The wheel well was rubbing on the tire and ate a hole in the wheel well and carved a valley in the tire 2/3 of the way through the trip. The issue added a lot of extra, unneeded stress to an already stressful move. The dolly should have never been issued out at it was not legal for travel on the roads. I will never recommend UHaul again.

They girl that helped us (Kiki?) was super helpful but she had to call her manager for help because it wouldn’t let her check us in and her manager said I’m busy doing something and she said well I need your help and the manager again said I’m busy and hung up. Which was super frustrating for everyone. Kiki gets 5 stars but the manager gets 0!!! Very unprofessional.

Very very rude workers. They overcharged me on miles , I only went 5. I had to pay for 15. They didnt show me my truck, had to go outside and find it on my own. They had no utility dolly’s for rent. My experience was horrible. The woman had a attitude. They were eating chick-fil-a at the desk while ringing me up.

We cleaned out the storage unit before the beginning of the next month and Was still charged for an whole months rent that we did not use. They also added a late fee of $20 which should not have been charged as they had our info on file and auto drafted this charge so it was not our fault they overdrafted it late. The manager was rude and would not refund my husband even the late fee they charged. We will not use the storage facility at this location again in the future and will not recommend it to friends because of the poor customer service.
