To did not exist on The first place we were sent to did not exist on GPS. We stopped at a place where uhauls were rented but after an hour holding we were told they would not accept returns. Finally we found a place we were told to go to. Took us 2 hours to pick up the truck and 4 hours to return!! HIRE MORE PEOPLE SO CUSTOMERS DON'T HAVE TO BE ON HOLD AN HOUR OR MORE TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE!! AND FIX THE APP!Barbara P.

Boxes were delayed one day from promise due to an equipment problem. Phone reponse is time consuming with U-Haul, but eventually you get a hold of someone, and when you do they are helpful. Our local delivery and pick-up person was skilled and friendly. The U-Box concept is very good overall.Brian D.

Check your equipment, 1st car hauler after connected to my truck found a chunk out of the sidewall of one of the tires. Had to go to another location to pick up 2nd car hauler. Left there and go to daughters vehical got it loaded and both rear tires were flat. Had to find an air station at a store to put air in but it only worked half-assed but did get some air in. Found a second store and was able to get some more air in. At that point I said the hell with it and drove home with the vehicle. I know what your going to say (YOU SHOULD HAVE CALLED THE 1-800 NUMBER). To that I say and how long would I have been sitting on the side of the road waiting for someone to come and put air in tires? We didn't rent this to go on vacation we needed it to get our daughter off the side of the road broke down and we expected it to be in good condition. It's obvious that neither of these had been checked prior to being put back into the pool for rental. I'm just glad that nothing bad happened.DOUGLAS H.

The customer service representatives at this location seem very inattentive to customers. When you walk up to counter they are talking one another and it's clear the topic is unrelated to Uhaul but they ignore for a minute or so before acknowledging you. This happened several times. The hitch installer on the other hand was very customer oriented and did an excellent job on my vehicle.Gregg B.

The line was super long with only 1 person working the desk and each person took forever. I asked if the truck could tow when I called to schedule, but as never told to bring my own ball, so I had to rent one. Then, I drove 9 miles to get my tow dolly, but I could not plug in the lights because it was too short to reach the truck plug in, so I had to return the truck. I paid 50 bucks and could not tow my dolly home from the mechanic. I am pissed.ALISON G.

Great experience at the Leesburg location. What I don't understand is why they or corporate had me drop off the truck 18 MILES away from my one way unload destination when there were DOZENS of location as close as 3 blocks from my unload destination. It's a college town!! Is this so you can over charge customers with more milage to charge, more gas to pay.. which I made sure to refill!. This is unprofessional and ridiculous! But since you have my credit card on file why not over charge your costumers. I have no idea what the extra charges are on my credit card because I can't get through on the phone!!! The outside of the truck was dirty especially the windshield. The radio didn't work and the turn signal switch released by itself. The gas mileage was horrible $40.00 of gas to go 65 miles.RICHARD V.

The U-Haul location on Hwy 441 where we picked our equipment up from was great. However, we had originally scheduled pick up at the location on Hwy 27 (conveniently 2 miles from our house). When we arrived there the morning of pick up we were told they didn't have the equipment we were had reserved. Unfortunately we did not get a phone call the evening before to let us know that we needed to go to another location (which we were told we would). We had scheduled two workers to load the truck. Because we had to travel 20 minutes farther than planned to pick up equipment and wait in line we did not get back to our house on time (lost 15 minutes of packing time that we had to pay for). Very disappointed in the Hwy 27 U-Haul location. The girl behind the desk tried to blame whoever worked the night before for not calling us. According to the picture on that locations webpage, SHE is the manager. I believe that makes her responsible for what does or doesn't happen at that locationPhillip E.

I had given up on UHaul but the GM Catherine restored my faith in the company. She had the impossible task of finding a hitch that I could not order from anyone as it was completely out of stock! She called me every week to let me know she had not forgotten me! I could never express my elation when she called me one evening to tell me she had received my hitch. ( I need it for a w/c lift). I had tried calling there a few different times over the 10 1/2 months that I used the unit. The only frustration I had was not being able to get through to the store even though I called the number to that store. After several attempts & having to call other stores & finally being able to be taken care of through the system but not through that store was my need taken care of. I live a couple hours away so when I need to reach them it’s frustrating not to be able to get through on the phone. In the end it took another trip in there after getting my stuff out to close the unit w/ in the 10 day prior requirement, because I wasn’t able to get through on the phone. Where do I begin... Let me 1st say there are some great staff members here That do try to go out of their way to help you. But then you run into the ones that just really want to ruin your day. Like going in in finding out the handle has been broken off the door going into your storage unit and being told we have to wait until the manager comes back off a vacation to have it fixed. In 2 weeks later it's still not fixed. Or walking into the climate control building and it's smelling of cat pee P. And being told it's not my fault I didn't put the cat in there! But my all time favourite thing of all was when the guy in the next unit that it was great to poor stuff over the wall into our unit. With the exception of being locked inside the fence overnight with both of our dogs and our then 9-year-old daughter after we paid the upgrade fee to allow for 24 hour access, our experience during the term of our agreement went relatively smoothly. That was until March 1st of 2020 when we moved our belongings out of our storage unit and notified staff that we no longer required use of the facilities. At that time we were paid through the end of February of 2020. The on-site manager even let us borrow a screwdriver and a broom to sweep out the unit before we left. So there is no question that we notified staff we were ending our rental term with Uhaul at that time. Uhaul has consistently continued to charge me monthly rent and just this month completed the process of "selling" our belongings within the unit (it was empty) to apply toward our balance despite several emails informing them that the unit had been empty since 03/01/2020. According to their records I now owe them over $2000 for a years plus worth of monthly storage fees for a unit I did not use in that time frame. So, I would say my overall experience with renting a storage unit from Uhaul of Lady Lake went about as poorly as could be imagined. I fully expect I will need a lawyer to clear up the mess they have created.Mary P. | Overall Experience
