Your trucks are fine except for one thing. NO CRUISE CONTROL! Lack of this will make me look elsewhere next time for a unit that HAS CRUISE CONTROL. I understand that this must be some kind of Lawyer related liability issue, but it is a HUGE problem for customers.

Truck was dirty and reflectors ware lose under the seat and flying around the truck, flares were also loose and flying around the truck, backup camera was not working, engine oil needed servicing.

I reserved truck and trailer several days in advance Trailer was not there upon my arrival I was forced to postpone my trip that I had scheduled and I had to drive miles out of my way to pick up another trailer from another U-Haul and also had to return the truck and trailer to two different location I had to pay for the miles and the time and the inconvenience and the extra gas to do all this. It also caused me to have to go through heavy traffic on Highway four that I was trying to avoid which added a couple hours to my trip I’m sorry they asked for my review so I’m giving it the best I can do

The renting of the vehicle was very easy to do and the staff was super friendly. The one thing that was an issue with the vehicle is that I noticed as I was driving it, the front end suspension has a steering issue and does need to have some mechanical work. I did advised the representative about it.

Mighty Movers of Florida were EXCELLENT. They texted me when they received my order.< They called the night before., they called again the morning to confirm, they were polite and very good at packing. Things went very smoothly and they checked my paperwork with U-Haul to make sure everything was perfect. I would highly recommend mighty movers of Florida.

Wait time was really bad even after checking in before getting there. They let people paying with cash walk in front of all of the people waiting over 20 minutes to be helped and quite honestly the attitudes of the employees working almost came across like the customers we were all an inconvenience to them. I would definitely rather drive to another location farther away than return there.

I reserved a 10' truck but both 10' trucks onsite were mistakenly put into "rental able" status by accident. Both needed repairs. I was offered an upgrade to a 15' truck for same cost. While I appreciated this, the increase in gas cost was not appreciated. I was not in a situation to hunt around since I was down from Michigan to empty my in-laws place so we could sell it due to a death. The entire trip back, there was a constant screeching noise (best description) from the wheel area. Not enjoyable to hear for 2 days straight. Also, the truck cab leaked when it rained. Not pleasant to drive while cold water is soaking your back. I informed the gentleman when I dropped the vehicle off.

I booked online. Never talked with local office. Moving people I hired through Uhaul had to wait 6 hours and go to two locations to get the Pods. The local office never called me to let me know there was no pods available in the am of the morning booked. But they waited and arrived about 330 pm and got us loaded. I realize there was a shortage of pods due to the store, and everything worked out okay but late. But the communication from the Largo office should have been much better and advise me what was going on. Rocket Haul movers were open and helpful. They kept me info all day waiting for pods. I have used Uhaul twice in the past few years. I have overall been very pleased. Ron F.

I have been lied to and accused of damage I didn't do. They charged me over $2000. They didn't check the pictures to make sure that I did the damage, rather charged me right away. After requesting picture proof they found out that damage was there from previous rental. As well I informed General manager that I will be transferring pick up camper, he asked me three times if I will be towing and I told him NO, I till be transferring it on pick up bed. Later area manager saw me on road and made me open window while driving car on highway and told me He doesn't think I can do that. They send me accident report and canceling my insurance next day, 2rhrs after I paid for insurance. Even they return my money for fraudulent charges for damage I didn't do, they still charges me for insurance they canceled. Worst service ever, very rude. General manager lied because he got in trouble from his area manager that I never told him. You can check all the recording of my phone calls to uhal because I was specifically asking about it and noone told me I cannot transfer such a cargo. As well I was reading the uhal contract I signed yesterday and it doesn't say anything about not transferring pick up camper either. So someone just made up a rule and punished for it. Better maintenance of equipment the staff was excellent but the U-Haul equipment not so good. Was suppose to have a ramp for loading and there was none. When reaching destination the motorcycle had damage unloading it because of no ramp!

I have used U-Haul over many years for my rentals. The process was user-friendly. The in-store customer service representatives have always been polite, respectful, competent, and provided me with an excellent experience. This is a true story about the same U-Haul rental at two different U-Haul locations in Pinellas County. I arrived at 0810 hours at the U-Haul Moving & Storage of Largo location to rent a trailer. I was 3rd in line and waiting patiently my turn. I was early for my appointment scheduled for 0830 hours. I watched and listened to the rentals before me. The customer representative was Mike. He kindly acknowledged every one of us as soon as we walked into the building, meanwhile, continuing to work on everyone’s rentals behind the desk. Mike was pleasant, respectful, polite, and incredibly efficient. I noticed that Mike was this way to all of us! After Mike quickly and competently completed my rental contract and paperwork, he sent me outside for the “hook-up”. There, a different Mike completed my “hook-up”. He was also polite, respectful, very competent, and provided me with an excellent experience. It was now 0830 hours and I was driving off with my U-Haul rental. Upon returning the U-Haul rental, everything was accomplished quickly and efficiently closing out this rental. Based on my experience last Tuesday at this U-Haul business located at the U-Haul Moving & Storage Largo, and with the employees, my review and recommendations is an excellent one. This location and employees demonstrate the U-Haul’s vision and values. I will recommend this U-Haul location to my colleague’s, friends and acquaintances. I rate this U-Haul location a 5. ================================================================================================================ I arrived at 0900 hours at a north St. Petersburg U-Haul location to rent a trailer. I was 3rd in line and patiently waited my turn. My customer service representative was pleasant and efficient with completing my reservation. My personal information was already in the system from previous rentals. She stated that the “Scheduler” will call me as to the location for this rental. I waited one full hour with no call from the Scheduler. I called the Scheduler myself and he informed me that my rental has been available at the Tropicana Field location in downtown St. Petersburg. I drove to this location and arrived at 1025 hours. I was 3rd in line. I watched and listened to the rentals before me. Both of the customer service representatives left the office with the renter’s to complete the “hook-ups”. I continued to wait. It’s been ½ hour now at this location. All the while, a female customer service representative was sitting in the corner of the office watching me. She finally called me over and informed me that she could not do the “hook-up” but, could start the paperwork. She was one of those typical U-Haul customer service representatives that I was use to dealing with that was polite, respectful, and helpful. It’s now 1100 hours. It has been 2 hours since the start of this simple rental process. I was then shocked when this customer service representative asked me for the name and phone number of an individual that she could call to verify who I was. She said that was their policy??? This customer service representative already had my personal information in the U-Haul system from previous rentals. She also photo copied the front and back of my government issued Driver License. She recorded my credit card number. She had my cell phone number of which she already sent a text message to. She had my home address, email address, my DOB, my PO Box number, etc.. Best of all, she had me, in-person, standing in front of her, not communicating with her by phone or internet. The only thing that she did not have was my SS#. In addition to this, I am supposed to schedule someone that knows me to wait for a call from U-Haul so they can verify who I am…during normal working hours when people I know are at work??? By far, this is the most absurd Policy that I have experienced in my life time. The U-Haul customer representatives at the north St. Petersburg location did not say anything to the 2 renters before me about this ridiculous Policy, or make a phone call to verify who they were!!! The U-haul representatives at this Tropicana Field location did not say anything to the 2 renters before me about this ridiculous Policy, or make a phone call to verify who they were!!! I began to explain to this customer service representative that I have been in this rental process for the past 2 hours waiting for a trailer rental. Now for my 2 complaints: 1) For whatever reason, I was singled out unfairly when this absurd Policy was applied to me and not to any of the other renters that I personally observed and heard while they were going through their rental process. 2) Employee Armenia (spelling?) who came into the office about 10 minutes earlier and was sitting down at the next desk, overheard me talking with the customer service representative who was helping me, and stated that was their Policy, and that I have not been here for 2 hours (she had no idea of what I was trying to explain to my customer service representative reference this 2 hour process and waiting for a rental). Armenia then further states that “you people want everything to happen now…that’s not how life is…you need to wait your turn and be patient.” She continued to lecture me with her opinion about my situation. Armenia seemed to have a “chip on her shoulder” for whatever reason, a condescending attitude, was disrespectful, unprofessional, arrogant, and as an employee, represented U-Haul poorly. Her reference to me as “you people” is very offensive. Her opinion on life means nothing to me. Neither of these 2 subjects is appropriate in the workplace and does not align with the values of U-Haul. It gets worse. I went over to Armenia and asked her what her name was. She replied, “I don’t have to give you my name.” I then asked her for her employee ID or however she is referred to, so that as a customer, I know whom I am taking with. She replied, “I don’t have to give you anything.” I finally asked for a manager. While trying to explain to the manager about this entire situation from beginning to now, Armenia continued to interrupt with incorrect statements and assumptions that she knew nothing about, therefore, influencing the manager’s perspective of the situation. The manager never gave me his full attention and continued to work on other tasks. I asked the manager what was employee Armenia’s name. He did not know her name and had to ask her. She told him and he relayed it to me. Now it’s 1110 hours. It’s been over 2 hours since the beginning of my efforts to rent a trailer at 2 U-Haul locations. I asked the manger to cancel my rental and he did. I am not making any accusations, but, when a business has all of your personal information and you suffer a bad experience as I did, when you leave, you have concerns about the security of your personnel information and/or retaliation. It happens all the time. There are a lot of angry people out there. I left this U-Haul location with an uneasy feeling. Based on my experience Thursday, one week ago, my review and recommendations for the Tropicana Field U-Haul location, is to avoid this location and employee Armenia if at all possible. This location and employee did not demonstrate to me the U-Haul’s vision or values. I contacted U-Haul Customer Service by cell phone to file a formal complaint about my experience. I reached Agent David. David was friendly, respectful, listened intently, and was professional throughout our conversation. It was good to be in contact with a U-Haul employee that demonstrates and possesses the vision and values of U-Haul. I will continue to use U-Haul for my rentals, and will continue to recommend U-Haul to my colleague’s, friends and acquaintances, as an excellent company, but, will steer them away from any suggestion to do business with U-Haul Tropicana Field and employee Armenia. I rate this U-Haul location a 1.

This is the second time I’ve had to use this facility and both were great experiences.❤️ And if U-Haul ever needs a truck return to the Clearwater area or this location from Louisville, KY I could probably help with that since I’ve rented a pick up, 15 ft and 20ft truck . First off I had an issue with the truck I rented which was another area. They sent me to somewhere else which was this location above. I got there and had to wait a good 20 minutes because the fellow was dealing with FedEx that was renting a truck that they needed back because it was up for sale. So when we got there at 11:30 we didn't get the truck till probably about noon. Somebody else had to come in and help us. He was very nice the fellow that came in and helped us. But the issue I had with that was, when I reserved it at the other place they asked me if I thought I would have the vehicle back within 4 hours and I said I was not sure. It was a possibility but I wasn't sure I knew I wouldn't keep it overnight. So when I got to the other place and the fella went over everything he said will you have it back today and I said yes. Now, The original reservation with the original location was a possible 4 hours or more. And I would do pick up at 11:30. I got there at my right time. But the only fellow that was in the office at that time asked us to hold on because he was trying to get a hold of the FedEx people about the truck he needed back cuz of the sale of the truck. From 11:30 pick up to 12:00 12:10, something like that. But when I filled out the paperwork the man marked everywhere that I was supposed to pay attention to except that he had put down my pickup time was it 3:30. Which isn't even a full 4 hours and then I get a email saying I need the truck back by 3:30. So I call them and they get a little cocky with me and it was the first fellow with the beard that was handling the FedEx situation that I spoke with. He asked if I could get it back by 4:00 I said that was a possibility we were on our way to try and unload what we had. When we got there and we asked them the question that when you rent a truck for $19.99 is that's for a day. And he said not necessarily, depends on what you rent it for. Will the normal is for a 24-hour period. So he got kind of test you with us that he told us and grab the paperwork from my hand and said see you and hear where it says 3:30. And didn't the guy explain that to you. I told him the man marked everything that I needed to keep in mind but that was not one of them. He asked me if I was going to have it back today. Which means anytime that day not 4 hours 6 hours, it means that day. He was very rude and disrespectful in the way he handled himself. The older gentleman that helped me was very kind and thorough except he forgot to mark the time and tell me to pay attention to the time that it had to be back at 3:30. But that also comes with the fact that he was trying to help me and the guy with the beard was trying to tell him he didn't do something that the man knew he had already done and he kept bugging him about it while the man was trying to help me. Which causes a problem when somebody is in there being helped by somebody you shouldn't interfere and start asking that person questions while they're helping a customer. So you need to check yourself on this place and the man with the beard that was there that morning. And I don't understand how you can rent something out in advance before you're sure a person doesn't need it longer. He told me I couldn't keep it any longer two people needed it. Which is terrible customer service to talk to somebody like that. And I'm sure after thinking about it that's probably what happened to my first reservation at the first location. Was somebody kept it longer than they planned. Because things come up things take longer sometimes. And your triple booking before you're even sure somebody is done using it. Maybe it would be best if you need a truck and that somebody is using it and they only said four or six hours or that day. That you call them and ask them if they will be able to return it in that proper time before they rent it to somebody else. I will be calling corporate on Monday

Had a tire blow out on freeway in the dark. When the tire repair tech pulled off the inside rear tire that blew, found the tire tread was below the wear line which made it weaker than the other tires. Also the U Haul person filling out the contract put the wrong customer name on the contract, so FEMA would not reimburse me.

We used the vehicle for 23 miles and put $10 of gas in it around the corner from U-Haul. We were then charged $14.85 for 3 gallons of gas to fill it up. TOTAL BULLSHIT!! It’s the principle of the matter that we will dispute the charge for gas with Amex.

I will never use the Largo, FL location again. The manager at this U-Haul was named Mike and he was extremely rude and disrespectful. Not only did he have me on hold for one hour, he then hung up on me during our conversation because he did not like my tone. I am very displeased by my service and will steer future costumers away from this location. Some of our furniture was damaged as well and the movers had absolutely no idea what they were doing when packing the haul boxes. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE

Way too many furniture pads. I need space for my items and these pads take up too much room. I ended up having to make a special trip to uhaul to bring them all back. I guess it would be nice to ask the costumer if they need any, instead of including 3 big bags of them automatically. That would be my only feedback, but Largo Uhaul- great!

Very friendly knowledgeable staff. Storage and truck rental’s were both effortless and expedited. There was a couple behind me waiting and I did not feel rushed or slacked in service to accommodate the waiting customers which happens so often during these types of processes. I "moved in" to the storage unit on 6/4. During the move in process, we changed from one unit to another. I purchased insurance, and got a less expensive unit based on the amount of items I had to store. This seemed to be particularly difficult task to complete. That was frustrating. on 6/11, the location reached out to me to see if I was in the original unit, or if I had taken the second unit. They didn't have their paperwork in order. They cut the lock off my unit to see if there were things stored there and they called me after. I went in to retrieve the new keys for the new lock, and to get a copy of my corrected paperwork. Now I don't have insurance because if I want insurance, because it's a different unit, I would have to pay for it again. This is such a load of crap - you should have gotten this right the first time. I have had so much trouble in general with uhaul over this move - I am not sure I would ever want to use the organization again as a whole. The only thing they said was, well at least you got your free time extended for a week since it was put in wrong.

The Team you have at the largo store go out of their way to help you. YOU corporate people need to pay them more they are understaffed and work well with it. !!! Great team and I am sure they have not been appreciated by any corporate people.

Folks managing the place is very helpful, friendly and professional albeit that the turnover is slightly high. Place was well maintained; clean and well lit. Used the storage for slightly more than 2 years and no issues throughout the time. I enrolled in auto-pay, but the price went up slightly each year, like 5% perhaps. I'd use the facilities again, if need to. Thanks for your help !!

I would have been happy with 24 hour access. I was bit inconvenient for me on that part. I would rush to get there to either drop/pickup items from my storage. A previous uhaul had a 24 hour access option.

The only way in the climate controled area is on top of a hill the carts roll away from you n then u gotta hold the cart while you have to enter a code on 2 keypads n then rush before the door closes an u gotta repeat it again there's no loop around so if multiple people are loading or unloading I'm trapped in

The gentlemen at this particular Uhaul location have attended to my moving and storage needs above and beyond. From honoring my free month of storage after my move to making sure I was able to sign into my unit at 12am at night, they were there. With stand up customer service, well lit and air-conditioned units, on the spot truck availability, hands down Terry and crew are the gentlemen I'd go to see for my Uhaul services.

The only reason I would not give it a full 5 stars is because your phone system is awful, you can’t reach anyone. Instead I had to drive all the way to the store to get questions answered. I set up autopay 4 different times and your system kept kicking me off randomly. The uneasy feeling waiting to see if the money would actually come out was not pleasant.

Was moving cross country from Colorado and had reserved the AC first floor room because we were moving large furniture into it. I called multiple times to confirm that it was still available. When we arrived after all day of driving it turns out that the storage we had reserved, for months, was no longer available and that we would have to call around to random storages to find one that is (virtually impossible day of). Called around and there was nothing available. We called back and told them and then they found a storage unit was available on the second floor with AC. They did not tell me that the "second floor" was only accessible by a ladder on wheels. This made moving all of our furniture extremely difficult both in and out. Other than that, everything went great. The employees were very friendly and helpful, though you could tell they were understaffed.

Never answers the phone, not really busy always so not sure why. Stuff got auctioned and they allowed the person who bought it to also take my important paperwork when the GM stated to me that it wasn’t allowed. Still have yet to get my paperwork back. The ball was dropped and no one seems to care everything is just kind of brushed off.

Very convenient and hours to access storage were great. One thing that I didn’t like was the fact the rate changed every month. It started in the $60s and towards the end I was paying $80s. Also I finished my contract 3 days earlier but there wasn’t any adjustments for that.

My unit did not smell very good. The back part of the trailer leaked and there was a puddle on my photo boxes. Did not ruin my photos due to packing them in a plastic box.When I mentioned it to the check out person, he was not concerned. The unit was very secure but not well lit. This was my 3rd storage experience and my other 2 were very clean and dry.
