Both the manager and assistant manager were very personable, friendly and helpful. They were actually open every Friday night until 8 o’clock for people getting out of work and trying to arrange weekend moves. I rented from other U-Haul dealers, and it was all very stale. The two women I dealt with were very knowledgeable very helpful And it was a pleasure doing business at the Leominster location. Would highly recommend.

I called days ahead to ask if I could drop the truck off Sunday due to the incoming snow storm. I was told I could not and that I had to wait until Monday morning. I ended up returning the truck 10 minutes before closing on Saturday night. The woman at the counter couldn’t have been less helpful. It appeared that I wss bothering her by walking in.

The 26ft truck is in need of an alignment. The interior smelled of smokers. I'm not sure what is in the inside of the windshield, I was not going to touch it without gloves and it made it difficult to see especially when the sun hit the windshield.
The vehicle exterior wasn't washed and there were so many "X" indicators throughout I'd swear that they were holding the vehicle together.
I was on site and couldn't get the app to work, I finally had to call the 800 number for assistance. The lock on the key lock box was frozen. After finally getting the lock off the box, the key itself was jamming the box door from exposing the key.

Because the computers were running a little slow, it took me a little bit to get checked in upon arrival. After that everything was GREAT!!! The associate who I believe was Natalie was very helpful with every step including getting me set up with a trailer and on my way. Even upon my return she noticed me pulling in, directed me where to put the trailer, asked if everything went well, helped remove it, and completed the checkout on her mobile app, and I was on my way without having to go inside. great job!!!

I had a terrible experience, the service was very poor, the truck was completely covered in snow and I had to clean it myself, the truck had no gas at all, I filled the tank completely and they refused to reimburse me for the fuel, and the attendant was also very sarcastic with me.

Good place to rent U-Haul. I have rented from here several times the past year as I drove 1 way trips from Boston to Phoenix and had no issues. Trucks are clean and low mileage and well maintained. Staff was friendly and helpful. My wife and I have moved to different states several times over the years and we are BIG fans of renting U-Haul vehicles from locations that have service shops where the trucks are serviced vs smaller locations where the U-Haul trucks are part of another side business. This facility is only U-Haul and has a service shop and storage locations and plenty of moving gear to support local or long distance moves. Also easy to get their trucks in and out of their facility for less experienced drivers who haven't driven larger trucks before.

The running lights on my unit quit working somewhere between here and TN. The directionals, brake lights and emergency lights all worked fine, but no running lights (nor the forward facing light on the wheel cover).

Woman at counter looked like she was on drugs, her face was crazy thin and looks like she’s about to pass out, has attitude, and put heavy weight on the other woman (dyed crimson hair with winter hat and glasses) who got stressed and then get impatient/condescending with you because she’s all over the place, in turn also giving attitude. Couldn’t fix our price when we switched trucks. Attitude problems here, I expect this from Worcester not Leominster. Worcester is friendlier.

Nothing, just keep hiring and retaining (and compensating) good people. U-Haul Leominster allows me to rent equipment (and storage) when I need it, instead of owning it, which is very expensive these days. The Leominster store is managed very well, and all the employees are well trained.

As usual the service from U-Haul of Leominster was excellent (Thanks, Natalie!). I would note, however, that this trailer (AVS262L) is still leaking from the front upper corners of the box, despite obvious efforts to repair them. Granted driving into heavy rain at 60 mph is a severe test, but another application of sealant should do the trick. Our stuff was in plastic tubs, so no harm done, but someone else might not fare so well. Just a suggestion.

There was definitely a breakdown of communication between the Equipment Distribution Program team and the local team at the pickup location. There was a lot of confusion, things we were told on one end did not translate to the other end and it took a significant amount of our time to sort things out.
The limitations around registering additional drivers is burdensome. The time limit of 30min to add someone after dispatch was a challenge. It was also not possible to get a print-out of additional drivers to confirm they were added. We felt uneasy just kind of hoping the drivers were added and covered for insurance purposes.

I came to pick up the truck at 8 am, an hour before the office opened. The key that was supposed to be in the lockbox for me - wasn't there. I had to wait for an hour for the office to open. The person at the desk, when informed about this and informed that I just lost an hour of work and this has cost me money because of it, and that I am extremely unhappy - ignored all of it, found another truck and gave me the keys. And sent me on my way. No apologies, no concerns (I'm not even talking about offering me a discount). Terrible experience and disrespect for your customers.

This was by far the worst experience I’ve had in this country! The employees seemed to be under the influence of something, asking the same question 3 or 4 times. Even though I’m fluent in English, I couldn’t understand a word because the attendant barely opened her mouth when speaking, yawning nonstop. I asked her to repeat, and another person came over speaking a language that sounded like Spanish — but I don’t speak Spanish, I speak English, Portuguese, and French fluently! I was treated very poorly.
I couldn’t find a storage unit in the size I needed, so I ended up taking one that I thought would work, but it didn’t. I asked for a change, but the next one still didn’t fit, so I requested a cancellation. At the Northoro location, everything is much more professional, better organized, and way more comfortable for customers. The attendant, in all her bad will, tried to cancel and refund the payment 3 times without success. She told me to wait until the next day so her manager could resolve it.
Nothing was resolved. I called 15 times, and every time I explained the situation, they hung up on me. I went in person on Sunday, and since I was with a friend who only speaks Portuguese, I spoke to her in Portuguese while we were waiting in line. When it was my turn, the attendant started mistreating and insulting me, saying the money hadn't left my account and that I was an immigrant, and that she was going to call the police. She told me to leave the store, even though I had my bank account open showing her that the money had been withdrawn and not refunded!
I left the store, and she followed me outside, yelling at me and writing down my license plate. I’m a U.S. citizen, and just because I speak more than one language doesn’t mean I’m undocumented! It just means I’m hardworking — something she clearly is not! Now I’m at a loss of $108 with no resolution in sight. And what if I go back to the store and get assaulted? Will I have to call the police then? This is outrageous!

Absolutely terrible customer service. Rented a Uhaul and storage unit. Uhaul was dirty, had dirty diapers in the back and the front was full of dog hair. Told them and they didnt care. Husband asked a question about the storage unit, got attitude. Went back to ask another question and the guy said out loud “oh my god…..” completely rude and sarcastic. Before this I tried calling the facility twice and they put me on hold for 20 minutes. Guy said he couldnt take my call cause they were too busy. What he didnt know was the second time I was parked out front watching him and his friend eat Chinese food with no customers. Absolutely terrible customer service.

This Uhaul is extremely dirty and gross. In bad need of updates. The associate was telling me as I was renting a Truck that they have a Roach problem. THANK GOD I was moving my Outdoor Storage unit out of your facility to a cleaner and indoor storage location at a FRACTION of the cost it was charging me for your gross Uhaul location. Plus the truck I rented was also disgusting, not clean and I thought it was going to die when driving down the road.

I was accused of leaving things behind, which I didn’t. I took all mt belongings. I emptied after hours on the weekend and called on Monday morning and the man I spoke with checked everything and closed my account. 3 days later I get a call for the wood and not closing my account. The woman called me honey and treated me like I was trash. I will never use the U-Haul on central street in Leominster, ma again and will never refer anyone to that business. The online system let me reserve a space that was actually damaged by water. I was pleased that the staff informed me and helped me find another unit. The staff at this Uhaul Storage facility made me feel so comfortable. They resolved so many issues that staff members I spoke to over the phone messed up on. They welcome and explain and will answer any and all questions. I will say that my entire experience of renting a truck with an appliance dolly (given furniture dolly), had to go to another uhaul facility to get an appliance dolly and was charged for that plus held $60, extended the truck rental, spoke to a person after I seen the ad in the truck for the storage unit, she messed up on setting up the storage unit and told me she was putting in that I could then keep the truck until 12, got to the storage unit and lost over an hour while the staff fixed the women's mistake. Was the worst experience ever. Except the wonderful staff at the Leominster mass uhaul storage facility.

The staff were all completely friendly, courteous, and helpful. I was glad to see the bench, plants, and large sign placed in the no parking zone, to prevent parking. Before, People were still parking their rentals, forcing me to go to the far left curb with the cart in order to get back on the sidewalk.

Considering the storage is indoors, I don't like the fact I have to pay for insurance. I'm not concerned if my stuff gets stolen, considering I had to put a U-Haul provided lock on.

Great storage experience but truck rental for Sat 7/30/22 was a disaster. Notified 7/29/22 that pick up would be in Gardner. Notified late Sat 7/29 that Gardner would not have a truck. No assistance provided by leominster or Gardner offices. Truck found available in SPENCER - cancelled and rented from Home Depot. Storage yes - truck rental NO…complete failure

I had no problem with the storage unit. I had every problem with the place I dropped my U-Haul at and with being charged late fees that was fraudulent. if I hadn't taken photos of my car dropping off the U-Haul the person in charge of submitting this information would have gotten away with this. I dropped my U-Haul at a different location from my storage unit. he claimed I turned in the U-Haul a day late when in fact it was a day early. thanks to my photos and the people at the storage unit I have a claim and reciept that says I will Eventually recieve my refund. I have spent hours waiting to speak to someone only for the phone to hang up on me. and then to receive no help from anyone online. the only person to help me were the people at the storage unit. i had to file a claim through them and reopen it several times bc I still haven't received my refund for the fees. I had to call the storage manager again bc he's the only one who has helped me bc to this day I still haven't received my refund. I wouldn't recommend renting from U-Haul to anyone bc of how much time it takes to speak to anyone and how little they care. by the way it's been over a month and I still haven't received my refund. this was terrible and I deserve a bigger refund for how much time I have spent on this. this service besides you having one kind and caring employee has been terrible. reference number 3721448

On the unit list it clearly showed me my locker and stairs leading up all around. I was unaware that I would need a ladder to get to my unit. It is impossible to put anything heavy or any furniture in the unit because of its placement. Will never shop at uhaul again

The reason I’m giving average rating is because when arriving to the storage unit we were told that the lock hinges would be adjusted because they were loose & didn’t align, which made it hard to close the lock.
The guy that supposedly “fixed” it only had to put a bigger washer in the back of the door because the door is worn out were the screw is. But no.... he decided to force the screw tight. Only to realize it wasn’t aligned & then grabbed a drill and just made the lock hole bigger, instead of doing the job properly.
You tell me that isn’t some ghetto carpentry 🤦🏻♀️. I know for a fact that it’s going to get loose again. If he would’ve fixed it properly he wouldn’t have to come back again when it loosens up again. The lazy work harder & double. I sure hope they don’t try to charge me for something that was already messed up.. mind you that I said yes to the unit ONLY because he said it was going to get fixed for proper use. I’m not the happiest camper but I’m happy with the storage space & the facility is very clean. Just that 1 little detail would’ve given U-haul a 5 star rating but I have to be realistic, so there you have it.
