The service of the attendant working was poor, and mostly rude. He was curt and unkind to other customer waiting in line with questions. When he gave me the keys to my truck, I was completely blocked into the lot with no exit path. When I told the attendant there was no way out, he only said â€œthere would be if someone had parked the trucks rightâ€ and walked away without another word. I then waited nearly 15 minutes for the vans to be moved so I could exit. The truck I was given had the engine light on when I got in. Again, I told the attendant and he simply replied â€œit's fine.â€ The truck was the noisiest automobile I've ever driven. After 1000 miles of travel, I had a splitting headache from the sound of the engine. The other members of my moving party said they could hear the racket of that engine from their car - 40 meters behind me. This was by far the worst U-Haul experience I've ever had from start to finish, and I have used this company frequently for moving needs.Nicholas M.

I was not given anything at check out with any info on it. I did not see a checkout gas level or mileage. In the past I was provided a sheet that I signed to verify all info. When I got in I noted a half of a tank of gas. When I got ready to turn it in, I put 25.00 of gas in and brought the level back to half of a tank. When I got my emailed invoice after turning the truck in, I was charged a 30.00 fuel charge. When I called customer service they said it was noted as 9/16 of a tank. I know for a fact that it was a half of a tank. My total miles driven was 49 miles, so if I put in 25.00 of gas that equaled 5.56 gallons, it still took another five gallons to get back to 9/16th? That would mean I got about four miles to the gallon while using the truck. I doubt that is what that truck gets. Disappointed in the fact I am out 30.00 that I should not be.DALE T.

I have NO problem with the person that helped me rent the truck. She was EXCELLENT. The rest of UHaul corporate suckes. I have a problem wiht Uhaul wasting my time with your complicated self-checkin process and having the balls to charge $20 if I don't do it! Ridiculous! I only rented from you out of desperation. This facility is closing, due to highway widening. There was only one employee there, and it was the last day to move out, however, this young man made everything go smoothly for all who were trying to get trucks and equipment, and get everyone loaded up, and on their ways. The overall rental experience was not great. We had to pickup at a different location than originally selected so that my reservation could be accommodated. Then the day of the reservation my pick up time was changed without notice. This caused a conflict and I was not able to pickup until the next day. Dropped off our trailer one day and the truck the next. Both experiences were with the same lady. The sign when you pull up says to stay in your vehicle and an attendant will help you. We we pulled up with the trailer, the lady just walked up and said, â€œpark it over thereâ€ and walked off. No greeting, no details, so I just waited for her to come back since I've never been there and didn't know where â€œthereâ€ was. Especially since all the spaces were full. She wanted it, in front of another trailer. The next day I brought the truck back. She was busy with another truck and looked right at me multiple times but, didn't say a word. That's fine, she's busy however, when she finally got to me she ask if I was turning it in and said, â€œcome onâ€ with a hand gesture to get out. I stepped out and she began to clean it with saying anything else so, I asked if that was it and she said yes. She couldn't have told me that earlier so, I wasn't waiting around wasting my time. I'm retired military and not some soft-shelled pansy who get his feeling hurt every time someone doesn't treat me right however, that was extremely poor customer service. Air was off many times and the temperature inside was over 104 degrees in the morning. Though my unit was locked my items were damaged by water and both units were covered in green crystal substance even in the back of the unit. Upon initial move out and rental of my truck I asked for additional assistance and was not met with good customer service skills. When I questioned about dollies and comparative pricing on two, I was told the price was, "more or less than the other". I was not pleased and declined to add any additional services or seek assistance afterwards even though I could and should have bought several accessories and a car tow. The facility was very good. My only struggle was the motion control for the lights at the end of the hall. If I stayed too long in my storage without walking down to the end of the hall every 10 mins the light would go out and I would be in the dark. I was disappointed to find my storage unit without air. I had paid for a climate control unit for a very specific reason. The items being stored there could be damaged by the heat. I was paid in full until 6/20/22 I arrived to empty my unit on 6/7/22 and the air was off and the temp according to your thermometer was 100%. That is unacceptable. When I asked the manager his only response was he would check tomorrow. What good does that do me when I am taking my stuff out today. He also could not tell me how long the air had been off and how long my items were in damaging heat. I would not recommend this facility because I paid extra for air and did not receive it. Jesse the General Manager lacks customer service. He needs to be retrained on serving customers. I reserved 72 furniture pads 2 months in advance and he only gave me 12. There where a lot of pads available. I asked Jesse why he wouldn't give me the pads. His words â€œI don't have anymore pads for YOU.â€ Even though there was many pads available. I questioned him again. He stated â€œI am not going to give you anymore pads.â€ I explained to him that this wasn't right and he stated â€œit is what it is.â€ I have several damaged pieces of furniture because I didn't have the correct furniture pads I reserved. I also reserved an appliance dolly and they did not give me the appliance dolly but rather gave me a hand truck with a busted wheel. Jesse would not give me a refund for the pads or the dolly that I had paid for. I had to call customer service just to get my money back for the things I reserved but was not given. This was the first time I have rented anything from U-Haul and this will be last time. I was an inconvenience to Jesse and with his unprofessional attitude I never plan to give U-Haul another chance. I will use Penske or Budget moving forward even if I have to pay more. People like Jesse will cause U-Haul to lose a lot of revenue.James H.

Initially, at the Garland/635 location where I made my reservation I waited at least 5 min. while a young lady looked at a computer screen...No acknowledgement or greeting although she looked straight at us when we walked up. There were 3 people CASUALLY talking in a side room and I thought someone would wait on me shortly. Finally I asked if someone could help me and the lady at the front counter hollered to the side room you have a customer. And finally I was served. That was Problem (1). Problem (2): I made a 24 hr. reservation for a 12 ft trailer with ramp and upon leaving I received a call from Uhaul stating that there were no 12ft. ramped trailers at the Garland location and would I have a problem with going to the Mesquite location which was okay. The next day when I got to the Mesquite location the only trailer available was a drop door trailer which proved to make that day a difficult one as I thought it would. Ended up needing to extend the rental for another day and that's when I found (Problem 3) I had been set up for a 6 hour rental, and when I proceeded to extend the rental I was charge a punitive fee for not returning the rental on time. After going rounds with customer service about my service failures: (1)Not being addressed when at the counter...(2)Being set up for a 6hr rental when I with witness clearly told what time duration for which I would need the trailer. (3) Convenient Location for pickup changed to a location nearly 10 miles further away from me only to find there was not ramped 12ft. trailer, and (4)Having to go round & round with customer service about fees for a trailer because of a mistake made by reservations for time of need for the trailer, we finally got it work out, and there were no other problems, but it sure would have been nice not to have had that type of experience.richard B.

The entrance was already locked prior to 7:00. I just needed to get my key so I could store some items. The woman was checking in a truck and ignored me, then told me that she helped the last customer at 7:00pm and there was camera footage proving it. I was pretty angry, as I was moving the next day. The woman got right up in my face (according to friends waiting in a car). Even if I was angry, it was totally unprofessional of her to escalate the situation. The woman who was working there said she helped the person before me at 6:59pm and that I got there after 7pm. I raced to get there before 7 and did get there at 6:57pm. She said she couldn’t help me because it was after 7:00 when I got there. She asked if I wanted to see camera footage and I said yes. She did not show me. I explained that I had to be out of my house in the morning. She said there was nothing she could do. I said that I tried to call and that someone should answer the f***ing phone. Then she got aggressive and said since I was rude she wasn’t going to help me at all. I’ve worked in retail and know that you are supposed to try to de-escalate, not confront the customer and make it worse. My friends were watching from another vehicle and said that the employee got right up in my face and looked like she was about to hit me when I walked away.
