I made a reservation for a storage unit for ~2.5 wks and was verbally told that the unit would be free for 30 days with my trailer rental. My reservation also said 30 days free. When I arrived at the facility to unload and return the trailer I was told that there were no open units and my reservation could not be found. This was solved for after ~10 minutes. Then the four people there were unable to check me into the storage unit and I was told that I needed to come back the next day. The manager called me later that night to tell me that he could get me checked in over the phone but that he wasn't going to honor the 30 days free. He also wouldn't pro-rate the unit for actual time used. I made other arrangements and cancelled my reservation with U-haul the next morning. The manager was very friendly when I arrived to turn in the trailer.KELLY W.

Maybe not have your employees talk to the customer like he's an inconvenience. Also, it might be helpful if they knew what they were doing. Bad service and bad attitude from the guy who helped me. Love this location compared to the rest. Only issue I had was renting a truck that had a known issue with the air pressure monitor sensor for the tire. I was trying to pick the truck up before I headed to work around 6:30 am through the app. However due to the monitor warning light and prompt coming on I was weary to take the truck from the lot in case there was a serious issue. I had to wait there for almost an hour to get helped just to be told it was a known issue. Midway through the physical inspection before leaving the lot I noticed this but the app doesn't allow for the chat service in that process of the check out. And when I tried to back through to a page with the chat option the app froze up.Cheyenne W.

We reserved 9 u-boxes a month in advance in Kalispell, MT; the Saturday evening before we were to pick them up we received call that there were no u-boxes or truck available. Alice in the regional office then worked tirelessly to get us a truck and 6 u-boxes in Missoula, MT but they were not available until 5 days later than our original request. Thank goodness we weren't locked in to a time on our end. But, we still needed at least 2 more u-boxes; my husband was unloading and filling u-boxes at warehouse in Missoula and the warehouse personnel found him 2 more u-boxes they had just repaired so my husband was able to use them. Unfortunately he had to leave our exercise equipment and several other items in Montana as we didn't have a u-box for them. Our whole experience with U-haul has been a mix of good and and not so good. We will not be using U-boxes again sorry to say. Seemed like a good idea but didn't work for us like we thought it would.Toni S.

The staff at this location were rather dismissive when I told them about and showed them pictures of the cab and cargo area. They seemed determined that it was my fault even after I showed them the pictures. â€œWell, I guess I'll believe you.â€ Was their final decision o. The matter. Without a way for me to note the cleanliness of the truck, I'm not sure what else I could have done other than take pictures, which they only reluctantly and with some attitude, finally accepted. Though it was clear they were not happy with me about something that was not my fault.Andy B.

Increase staffing. Have properly operating equipment. The ignition switch and key on the equipment I was rented was totally worn out. At times this poor condition made starting the vehicle take as much as 5 minutes of jiggling the key to start it.Tim S.
Billing really confusing. Had to call bank because bill was run twice and a fraud alert resulted. Final bill automated, but the first deposit application was very unclear and the staff acted like it was no big thing. While we were very happy with the UBox service once the boxes arrived in Missoula, we couldn't have been more disappointed with the UBox service in Ann Arbor. The Ann Arbor side first insisted our boxes were not at their location, despite making the reservation for that location. The office staff refused to help fix the situation, so we had to call the regional office to sort it out. Once the boxes were "there" we couldn't access them for four days because they couldn't be found.Raymond C.

I was charged $8.50 for the reservation fee to make an appt. for hitch installation, I was not informed of this charge, although they did ask for credit car. At the tie of installation I was charged $75 instead of the $50 verbal estimate I received. The owner seemed to know what was going on. The installer (Nicolai) did a fine job. The other yahoos at the desk were clueless on how to check out, get a receipts, etc.Co P.
The technician who hooked up the trailer to my truck forgot to secure the trailer to the hitch ball, the bolt used to tighten the the tongue to the ball was completely loose despite telling me I was ready to go. I heard the clanking a block after leaving the parking lot, I got out and noticed right away and tightened it. That could have been a disaster. Please tell the tech to double check himself before letting a customer know they are ready to go.KEVIN N.

The clerk who rented us the truck tried to be a jerk but warmed up after he saw we were prepared. The check In clerk was awesome and the manager smiled at us when we left. Reservation location Billings, mt. and Hettingrr, ND drop off location. Recommend. But the Missoula, MT pick up location needs to get there shit together on all levels from customer. Never pulled truck out of tighter location. Called me several times saying I needed to pick up my vehicle transport when it left with the truck on pickup. Called and asked for vehicle transport number 3 different times. Truck and vehicle transport was delivered on time and received a phone call on 9-9-21 and said again that the vehicle transport needed to be picked up. I explained the the vehicle transport was delivered to destination drop off with the truck. Then was asked by Missoula Uhaul person where it was delivered too.RICKY I.

The guy at the uhaul place was awesome - but good thing they were open when I arrived, because the access info I was given was completely incorrect. There is no gate, no keypad next to my unit, and no lockbox with a keypad to get into the unit. They got me in and took great care of me, but if I had shown up when they were closed with my U-Haul full of stuff, I would have been screwed.Alison M. | Online Move In
