This is the place to store items because of its LOCATION ON 280 and 459 only A QUARTER MILE AWAY. ALSO THE SUMMIT IS JUST ACROSS THE ROAD AND A LARGE SHELL STATION IS ON THE STORAGE LOCATION.Robert P. | First Impressions

My storage unit was suppose to have my lock in it and it did not so now I have to pay for an additional day rental on the U-Haul equipment. Also I was suppose to get the first month free with my truck rental but the system charged my credit card.Cammi C. | Online Move In
I have never rented any kind of moving vehicle and of course I thought the money from the mileage covered the gas. It wasn't explained to me and I didn't realize I had to put the gas back in until after it told me to put the key in the orange box so I couldn't get the key back to do so. It would have been nice if someone would have told me instead of just charging me. I stated that I had never used a service like this before so I really wish I would've been told instead of having a surprise charge. As soon as I reached the interstate and got on the low air pressure thing came on and I tried to stop at the shell and put some air in it but I know nothing about tire pressure so I was afraid I would mess it up. I did not get all the information I should have so no I will not be recommending this place to anyone.Melissa H.

Very convenient location and Eric was very polite at pickup. Van was not clean(there was no trash, but neither was there any vacuuming, windshield was dirty. (a lot of road bugs) and inside smelled like weed. My guess is the van was dropped at night when no employee was there, and I was the first pickup when store opened at 7 am.Steve W.

Everything was great but the gas charge at the end was a bit ridiculous. I drove 18 miles, which is maybe a gallon and a half. This location is literally on the same property as a gas station and when I finished drop off I saw a $19 charge for gas. I would've added the extra $5 in gas myself, but I would've had to start the drop off and checkout process over and I was in a rush. I understand using an automated system to charge me for not filling up but adding an extra 300% is a bit outrageous.Charles W.

You need to advertise more that you rent pick-up trucks and vans for local use. I had thought only Home Depot did that, but they have few trucks and are very difficult to rent for a given time. Your service is great. I rented one of your vans and it met my needs and the price was very good.Martin K.

I think it's pretty dumb you charge over half of the uhual up front and don't give the money back same day. Kinda screwed me overMatthew H.
The vehicle was clean and ready. The issue was with the mechanical aspects. It ran quite rough at highway speeds compared to other trucks I have rented or driven. The alignment was pretty terrible as well, and there was a horrible whistle, likely from failing door seals. I'm personally quite familiar with heavy equipment, and this definitely is not receiving the routine maintenance and checks it should.Christopher R.
I honestly had a great experience. There was confusion on the confirmation with some scheduling getting changed around, but I think that was on the customer service teams end of things. Danielle is rude and should NOT be able to work with the public. I was questioning her about additional charges that should not be charged and she rudely said, "it's just $20 fucking dollars!" As she walked away and slammed the door. Also, she called the police and the dispatcher told her, "just give a receipt as she requested." I am waiting for Birmingham PD to arrive because I don't mind speaking to them. First, 911 should have never been called because I was calm and never raised my voice nor had an attitude. 911 calls are for emergencies. Second, I want to escalate this to corporate. And, the store manager has yet to address my issue!Latia F.

I reserved the unit well in advance and wanted inside, first floor, however we ended up getting an outside unit that was very dirty with an area in the corner that clearly leaked water...we told the staff and took pictures before we moved in, but they said they didn't have another option. At that point, there was nothing we could do since we had to move out and had a truck full of our stuff!! Then, when we moved out of the storage unit, our belongings were visibly filthy and there were bugs in the unit and in our stuff. We were not surprised, since the area that was wet when we moved our stuff in was never repaired, and was open for bugs to get in. Also, horrible customer service! Whenever i call, it rings forever, like 20-30 minutes, and eventually goes to the central UHaul number, not the actual location! If we can't get an inside, first floor unit next spring, we will not be renting from you again! We rented the year before (summer 2020) and had no problems. The day of my check out I went to the office and told them I needed to check out, the employee asked me my unit number and said she would contact me if there were any issues. Minor issue when I was checking out. They wanted to look at the empty unit after I had moved out, and when I notified them that we were out, they were too busy to look, but promised to look later and let me know via email if there were any issues. Imagine my surprise 4 days later when my C card got auto billed for the next month charges. They fixed it right away after I let them know, but if I hadn't caught it I'd been out another $190.00.
