Better truck. The alignment was off and had to fight the entire trip to keep it between the lines. Also didn't have enough power to get over the Teton pass and had to spend an extra day to drive around.

I had rented a truck from another u-haul location closer to my home, but it did not have a truck when I arrived. The person who helped me at the Oceaside location on the Coast Hwy was great. He was quick, friendly, and efficient. Not having the truck at the first location caused a major problem in our timing, but that was not a reflection on the great service I received in Oceanside.

I was pretty disappointed, honestly. A couple of reasons: first, I made a reservation, and the earliest pickup time was 1:30 pm. I really needed it earlier, but the only location with the required time was in San Marcos. The Oceanside Location was a little closer to my house, so I took the 1:30 time slot, hoping I could call that morning to see if I could come earlier. So I called that morning around 11:30 AM and was told that yes, a trailer was available and to come on down. Also, the employee stated that she definitely personally saw trailers on the lot. I drove down, waited in line, and was told there was no trailer, even though I could see three on the lot. I was told those were already reserved for one-way rentals. I asked when they would be sent out, and I was told they would go out the following day. I told the employee that I called and was told to come on down. He asked whom I spoke to, and I said I wasn't sure, but it was a woman. He told me that it was the call center, which was weird since she said she saw a trailer available. So I was sent home to return at my 1:30 time slot.
Also, when I returned, only one person was working the counter, so it took a long time to get through the line and hook up the trailer, which caused another delay well past the time I needed it.
I have rented from this location several times, and the urgency and service levels have been poor. The employees show no urgency and make me feel they do not care about customers. I do not have this type of experience at any other location.

The staff was very friendly and professional. I reserved a 26’ truck two weeks in advance. I went 1day before I was supposed to leave to check on the truck it was not there. I had to take a round trip truck that cost me $ 200.00 more instead of the one way. My suggestion is when a person reserves a certain vehicle you should do whatever it takes to make sure it is at the facility for them to use. I would have been shocked if I would have gone to pick up my truck on the day of my departure and it was not there. I don’t know what to put up on the evaluation because I’m disappointed. The staff at Oceanside were absolutely accommodating and did everything in there power to make sure I had something to move with. In closing I think you should give me the $200.00 for not taking care of business on your end.

I had a 3:00 reservation, arrived at 3:10 and the whole staff decided to take a lunch. Reopened at 3:40 then waited some more while the only guy on staff attended to the other customers in line. What? This is my first experience with U-Haul and gotta tell you I’m not that impressed

Well it's clean but maintained is another issue. The customer restroom has been out of order for weeks according to the sign. Where my storage locker is close to the restroom there is a fowl oder of urine and it's very umplesent to be around. A plumbing issue sould be delt with in a timely manner.
Access, I store tools there so sometimes I Need to access early if I have a job prior to 5am.
I hope this email helps serve u and can help get at least the bathroom issue resolved. If someone is moving alot of things in it is very inconvenient that they have to leave and find a rest room.

I didn’t like the units. Having to haul my stuff up the ladder added a lot of work and made me not want to go there. I didn’t feel totally safe there, either. There were always a lot of homeless people going in and out.

The unit was good. The stairs used to access 2nd level units are too long to steer around the corners, you have to drag them around the corners. Also, the 2nd level units had chicken wire as a ceiling which was weird to me. I feel like if someone wanted to, they could’ve fished things out of my unit undetected if they were motivated to do it. When initially purchasing the unit, I was told I couldn’t pre-pay for the 6-ish months that I planned to rent for but upon downloading the U-Haul app it became apparent that I could prepay for the upcoming months.

The worker Robert needs to be fired. I was given a storage by another worker, which all went smoothly, then I asked to pay the following month as well, and was paying cash. When the worker helping contacted Robert, he came into the store, and showed his true colours. He made me very uncomfortable, and angry! He needs to be fired!!

A uhaul rep per phone said I wasn’t to be charged extra. Upon drop off I was met by GM whom immediately was stand offish & brash & per a phone call charged me $154 saying I dropped off incorrectly.

If you change the location of the truck.. YOU SHOULD CALL. There were no pads and no Dolly'S, even though I ordered them!! And the truck was far from a comfort ride.

Customer service via UHAUL -800-go-uhaul was absolutely atrocious. No one at uhaul takes responsibility of the 'u-box' segment. Many lost hours on the phone. Oceanside store was very helpful.
