Every time I come to this location the same gentleman is at the desk, but makes a point to say he's just filling in and seems very confused. It seems to take way longer than it should. Not very helpful with explaining the process. Assumed we had done this before. Told us to drop off in St. Peters then get a text saying drop off is in O'Fallon. Call the store to confirm and someone answers cannot even find me in the computer??? Tells me just take it to St. Peters. No, I'm going to take it to where the text told me to. I work 3rd shift , so when I called to inquire it was close to closing time. Kevin at the ofallon mo location was very professional and easy to talk to. Kevin had the knowledge of what units were available. The next day I arrived a Sunday, superbowl Sunday, at closing time, I work 3rd shift so my days are opposite, Kevin was willing to help , remember speaking to me on the previous day, and had no problem assisting me with a unit to rent , help me find the unit , made sure I knew how to access and I left feeling very comfortable and glad that I had Kevin help me. Well for starters you should be warning your customers that when they rent the truck that it has a tendency to lock itself with the keys in it. We had just arrived at my home to unload our item. We set the keys on the dash because at my home there is no need to lock the door and then we proceeded to close the driver side door to the truck and immediately it chose to lock down the entire truck, doors, tailgate and all. We had to lift the couch out and over the tailgate to get it out. We then proceeded to call and speak with a representative from your store at around 11:00 that tells me that they don't have a spare key to the truck and that we would need to contact uhaul.com/help while on the phone with them, I then had to agree to a 175.00 charge which was double What I paid to actually rent the truck! Just to have a service rep come out to unlock the truck that locked itself! (because what else was I gonna do? It is not like I had options) So unfortunately I end up waiting from 11:00 until He finally showed up at 1-1:15 to open the truck. The gentleman who arrived and serviced the truck proceeded to tell me that on the service ticket it was written that you DID indeed have a set of spare keys but that you don't lend them out to the public. So needless to say I am Very dissatisfied with the service I received this afternoon. What should have cost me 79.00 ended up running me triple that!!! Total waste of my time and a huge chunk of money. In my opinion this is not right. It is not how you do business either. When I voiced my concerns to the representative who was cashing me out he was less than caring, just another transaction in his day, that extra money didn't come from his pocket so it was no sweat off his back. Said I could call and try to get some money back. Very displeased with how the whole thing was handled le period.Wendy D.

While the staff and facilities were fine, the policies are terrible. Due to my schedule (and my paydays), it seems every time I was able to move my items out of storage, my next month’s rent was pulled out. But when I asked about pro-rating (since my unit would be vacated with 72 hours and would therefore be available to rent to someone else), I was told that doesn’t happen. Why??? This last month, my rent came out and less than 24 hours later my unit was empty. How is there not a policy to refund part of that rent?ADAM E. | Overall Experience

Accommodations are fine my only.complaint is that the locker that I have has half of a support peer taking up storage space. On those units, because I know its unavoidable, the client should be made aware and it should be a discounted space bc of that reason. I reserved a ground level 10 x 15. Confirmed over the phone twice. Got there yesterday and they said they aren’t sure why it was confirmed because they didn’t have it available. Ed was great when I moved in a year ago. He and his team were always helpful. I had never had a storage locker before. Ed made it easy for me and went with me to see the locker and make sure I understood how to work the door and the lock so my things were secure. It was service excellence all the way.
