I found the experiance overall to be excellent which was surprising. I did expect a few headaches. Delivery, pick up, transport, delivery-all very flexable, efficient and simple. The web site software was a struggle. On multiple platforms, in two different states. It eventually worked out but I'm a computer person so I work through it. It could use some streamlining and design updates. Kinda slow response mostly from the site. Few page reloads. Had to start over completely once for the initial reservation. But once I got it set up it was fine. And there was human phone support. No transferring me around, no can't find your account bs. Everyone was always very helpful, polite, knowledgeable, capable. At every point of interface.That stuff meant a lot to me during a very stressful week. So thank you! Overall a great experiance

From the moment I contacted the local dealer in Maugansville to the end, people have been knowledgeable and very patient and pleasant. I called several times with questions and for help and customer service is clearly a priority. I highly recommend your company.

The gentleman was also very nice. The building was very well kept, easy to move around, merchandised well, and tastefully decorated for Halloween. It was also super clean.
FREDRIC ZWhat a great way to move anything from one location to another. We rented three boxes in Cocoa, Florida and had a week to pack at our leisure . We packed everything with great care and diligent, we had a lot of very fragile items, including China closets as well as highly breakable items. U-Haul picked up the boxes right at the pointed time and transported them to West Virginia. The boxes were delivered on an exact date as promised we then had a week to unpack them. The unpacked boxes were picked up at the agreed-upon day and time. We could not be happier with this move. Everything arrived without any damage. The total price was very reasonable and the Contact was super. thank you U-Haul and employees for a job. Well done.👍👍

ANDREW SGood at getting you in and out in a timely manner. Vehicle was clean but was old and beat up. My only issue was mileage was off by one mile and it stated it was at a half tank, but was lower, just a way to Nichel and dime you.

TIMUR CDid not understand the process—hiring drivers for each segment of the process. Called the Owings Mills locations several times & calls were dropped—frustrating. Location hours are listed as 7A-7P, but you are told to pick up 9A-5P? Needed to call 24 hrs in advance before pick up, but that was unclear from the online registration process. Whole process needs to be streamlined as there are numerous steps.

ALEX CThe whole experience was horrible, the staff didn't know what they were doing. When we canceled the mover help in Maryland they canceled florida movers also, took them 3 days to call us to arrange movers. then when we had to get a 2nd box they didn't combine them so when the movers went to pick them up they wouldn't let them take both. The u haul staff didn't know what they were doing, had all the information all messed up. Said they were delivering when the movers were delivering . The girl had just spoke with the movers an hour before but still didn't know weekday was going on. Then when the movers got there they wouldn't let them take both boxes, delayed them an hour so when they finally got here it was a thunderstorm. I will never use uhaul again.
Pamela WYour service was excellent, plenty of blankets the drivers were exceptionally and knowledgeable in their work, the call centers were polite and kept you up to date on the PODS pick ups and deliveries. If we ever move again we would definitely use U-HAUL again.
Ann PThe customer service was abysmal. There were two representatives and one asked from my driver's license and asked me to place it down to take a picture of it, but when they needed to take a picture of the other side, they asked me to flip the license. The other representative had no personality, whatsoever; there was no eye contact, no conversation, no hello nor goodbye, not even a thank you for coming in. It was a very disappointing visit.

ANITA WI want to start by saying the gentleman at the Salisbury, MD U-Haul location was absolutely wonderful — very kind, professional, and helpful. I have nothing but good things to say about him. Unfortunately, my overall U-Haul experience was terrible. The truck I rented smelled so bad that I felt sick and had to pay someone out of pocket to clean it before I could even use it. I only took the truck because I was under extreme time pressure — I had movers scheduled for a limited window — but it caused me a lot of anxiety. When I returned the truck to the Owings Mills, MD location, the manager there falsely accused me, in front of his coworker, of calling him a racial slur. This was a complete lie, and I consider it deeply offensive, discriminatory, and damaging to my character. I am now considering legal action over this false accusation. What started as a simple truck rental turned into one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. U-Haul needs to take a serious look at the conduct of some of its employees and the condition of its vehicles. ⸻ If you want, I can also make you a shorter, sharper version that hits harder for a public review platform like Google or Yelp so more people notice it quickly. That one would be more punchy and attention-grabbing.

Everything was going well, except the app and website show I owe money when I paid the fee, I cannot schedule any access to my U box because the app and website is broken. I talked to a lot of people and asked them to fix it and they cannot even begin to do so because it is not their department. Like I know who is supposed to fix it. They said I would get a call from U haul and never got a call. No one can help you as everyone is incompetent or lazy. Have my unit accessible at 9? No, too busy with other things, but they need 24 hours notice. I need to rent a truck to empty my U box. Will I be using U haul? Home Depot has the same trucks for the same fee. I don't need to do business with someone that is too busy to make sure I can use the products I am paying for, and constantly need to spend my time to fix their issues. Fail.

IMRAN AEverything went well and the U-Box arrived to my destination area early. The only hiccup was that I was given a time for the initial drop off the U-Box (for me to load) between 1:00-3:00PM. Actual delivery was nearly two hours later. Given that I had paused my day to make sure I was available to load immediately this was an inconvenience. This only was an issue on the starting side. The final destination side was delivered on time.

CHRISTOPHER GMore explanation about the process. I didn’t know (until I was finalizing the order) that I had to pay additional to have the containers dropped off and picked up. Also I didn’t know how to schedule the pick up after I was done.

ANNA DDropped off late. They ended up dropping it off on trailers and not being able to leave both of them at the same time due to an issue with an accident in one of the trucks and a driver that didn’t come to work which significantly affected my moving schedule.
Devin HOur delivery driver Rhonda has been amazing! She is very professional and courteous. She has delivered to us on three separate occasions due to our small drop off area and it had been a pleasure to see her every time.
