MARCELLA C. | First ImpressionsThe online reservation for the cargo van was somewhat confounded. On the confirmation page, I was given one price estimate, around $300. I clicked on the printer friendly version to print the confirmation and the price estimate was $600. Double what the other page said. This was misleading and troublesome as I could not afford a $600 rental. I called the location and their manager Angel was very helpful and assured me the price would be in the $350 range. There must be some bug in the generation of the printer friendly version of the online confirmation. Thank you Angel for all your help!

Ellen C. | First ImpressionsOur experience with UHaul was great but our experience with Ferris moving was horrendous. They were hours late multiple times and our moving day was a whole day late. Almost all of our furniture has been significantly damaged. In the end they left without finishing the job or telling us that we’re leaving. Extremely disappointing!!!! Don’t ever recommend them.

Even though I told her the location, so I had to call the truck terminal to change it. Luckily they didn't charge a penalty.

Jon W.I never used u-haul for storage but I have rented a truck or 2. This facility is very well kept and it’s staff is very helpful and friendly. Customer service was there for me every step of the way. I would recommend this facility to family and friends, even got a few cards to hand out!

The cubic ft. of a 5x7x8 is supposed to be 280 cu. ft. but that measurement is to the outside edge of the door. Nobody can store anything to the outside edge of the door and still close the door.

I was glad to find climate controlled storage, sith the only exception being it was kept at a higher temperature than I want for a climate controlled space (almost 80° inside every time I was there). The other issue I had was the last rental truck we used from this location. The tires were essentially bald and did not have great traction.

Also poor layout to handle trailers in the loading area. Maybe hire better structural engiineers. I am one.. Several others said the same when i was there.. Surprising for U-Haul. Otherwise good experience.

I drove around McVeytown for 2 hours on hold with customer service until they closed their phones at 8pm. Never got to talk to someone about where to drop off my truck. Took it back home to state college and dropped it off the next day. Got charged for extra mileage that wasn't my fault because they gave me a drop off location not open and no one answered the phone to give me somewhere to drop off. So I had no choice but to go over the mileage.

UHaul's text notification system could use a lot of work. I got a text asking if an agent could call to review my contract and when I replied "Yes" I got another text about deals and nobody ever called me.
Stephen K.Make sure the truck is cleaned and in working order.. the mirror was so loose, the vibration of the truck bounced the side mirror completely to the left to where you couldn't see anything out of it. Had to have it tightened a lot. (Called and spoke to a woman about this at this location). The cab was sticky and dirty- had to clean it myself.
