I dropped off the truck Saturday the 19th and the vehicle wasn't checked in until this morning, Monday the 21. My initial reservation was only until Sunday the 20th, and your reservation process inexplicable added on another day and presumably a charge for that. If your online reservation system hadn't screwed up, I'd be getting charged another day. I also had to call 3 times with no real clarity or re-assurance that the truck wasn't in fact missing because no one could explain why it would take nearly 48 hours for the truck to get checked in. Finally, I absolutely filled the truck up will a full tank when dropping it off and on my exit contract, it's listed as only 3/4 tank.

When people are moving physical stuff around they often need to get in contact with the people that are physically on location. Making the phone go elsewhere is bad. If you can't talk to the person next to the truck, there's something wrong.

Staff absolutely NEVER answers the phone. Had 2 go in and reserve the trailor. I tried several to just ask question and no one ever answered the phone. When we dropped off in tipton iowa they said they couldn't take the trailor. Had 2 go to another location.

I had a horrible time with the online app I had to go from one location to another. Took an hour to finally get my truck. But once I got to the main location, the young woman helping me was terrific. My return back, same thing, young woman was terrific. Mobile app? Sucked for me

The attendant should check the fuel gauge before the customer leaves the rental in order for the customer to dispute the cost of refueling the vehicle. I refueled the vehicle to the level from which I started from; I was charged for another 3 gallons plus the refuel charge of $4.50. I do not agree that was correct.

The customer service at this location is absolutely a palling when I return my truck the man receiving the truck in the garage almost sounded like he was yelling at me about why I put the lock back on the truck. Nobody needs to go through this after hours of moving it's exhausting.

When I booked my reservations online and selected the pick up time of 9:30AM for this location automatically changed it to 10AM. In addition, I was not aware that this location was open at 7am, otherwise, I would have booked for an earlier time. The staff at this location did not understand why this happened either. Please look into this as people may assume when the system changes your select time to another time that the location is not open yet.

The girls at the front desk were very nice and seemed to have a lot of patience with some other customers. The girl that took care of me even went back and cleaned the car herself. Very happy with that part but I don't know why I got charged another $20 , I dropped it off less than 6 hours after I picked it up. Can somebody call me about that? Thanks

Sometimes the people here can be very rude. I rent all the time and there are 2 people in particular that I dont know the names of that come off extremely demanding and rude. This place needs an attitude adjustment. If they were my employees that shit would end quickly.

The guy who received the truck at the end was pretty rude, for no reason—no greeting, no smile, no please, no thank you. He spoke while walking away from me and I couldn't understand him. I had to have him repeat himself—it was to tell me that the moving blankets needed to be folded. Over all, he acted like I was inconveniencing him, and as if he did not have time to deal with a customer.

the service at the counter was excellent, unfortunately the gentleman who fastened the rented trailer was very rude and not professional, he did not indicate where to drive the car and after asking the question where to go, he said that if I have a problem, I can come tomorrow, I emphasize that he was very rude and provoking a quarrel , I have never been treated in this way on any website, I think I will never come back there and I will definitely not recommend this place to anyone, I am sorry that I have to give such an opinion, I hope that the consequences will be drawn from this employee

my only issue was that when they connected the trailer, they used a very short wire connector. There was an extension on the trailer toung, but he did not use it. when I got home the wirilng harness had come disconnected. So I had not brake lights. I used the extension and everything worked fine from there.

List dimensions for clearance (we have a gate that the ubox wouldn't fit in, so we had to put it on the street). The day of ubox drop off for loading, I received texts that alerted me that I would be getting a phone call from a representative, but I never did. I did, however, get an email with a confirmation for a pick up today for 12-2. I received a call around noon and the representative told me that they weren't able to contact me yesterday, so they wouldn't be by to pick them up until tomorrow. After I explained the situation to her, she was able to schedule the pick up at 330, so problem was solved and they did come and get it today.. My truck delivery date was different than what I had discussed with the person that I spoke with initially, but luckily was changed to the correct date after a phone call. So there were some issues, but all is well that ends well.

Absolute worst customer service I've received ever. Especially from Jenny who canceled my 3rd reservation. I will not recommend uhaul to any person I know. Had an employee snatch a key from me in the location in Streamwood. Very very very poor customer service. And I work in customer service.

The location was understaffed. These two guys were hustling and doing the best they could, and I commend them for getting us customers taken care of quickly. They did not slow down. Lots of equipment coming back Sunday evening around 5pm, and even more at 6:30-7:00. The two guys on staff did an excellent job getting to everyone...but they sure could have used another 2 people.

The manager I spoke with, female, didn't catch her name was so accommodating to my situation. The service rep that handled my drop off was also great, very personable. My only issue was equipment rentals I needed on the truck, picked up before store was open, weren't there. The drop off rep refunded me, but would have been great to have those items for the move.

The drop off is a rip off, I turned in the van after 3 hours of use, under 10 miles, but I dropped it off after hours, only to be charged an extra 20 dollars because of the link or website giving couldn't find my location on the app or link, very disappointed

Waited in the truck upon return as instructed for about 5 minutes. Finally, an employee working in the bay told me to go inside. Waited another 5 minutes inside before I was told to go back outside again, that someone would help me in the bay. Waited another 5 minutes in the bay before someone finally came along to inspect thr can and finalize the rental. Return system seems to need a little work in its efficiency.

We hired movers through YOUR website to help us unload. I talked to these movers 4 times to confirm they would be there at 2:00 p.m. And they did NOT show up! Called your toll free number 4 times for help. And every time it took me 30-40 minutes to reach customer service! And I did NOT get any help! Your customer service is HORRIBLE! I called the manager of where I rented the truck and when I returned it after hours, I was still charged an additional $20 for an after hours drop off. Which I had to call AGAIN to get it removed. I will NEVER use U Haul again.

I waited longer to get my van than it took to move. The first location failed miserably and when sent to second it still took a long time. I purchased a wardrobe box and the clerk gave me the wrong size bar so that was a waste. The good part was the return check in; swift and painless.

Efficiency and communication need to be improved. I can believe that I made a reservation at 5pm saying pick up time is 6pm then at the end of the day I ended up having a van a 8pm. Worst still, I ended up not picking up the stuff I intended to cos the client sold it to someone else and left cos I fail the appointment time which was 7pm and I ended up getting there at 9pm all cos by U-Haul and U-Haul took my money for something I never got. You guys made profit out of my money and I still fuel the van top tank they way I took it despite of all what happened and you guys came back to my account and collect the balance $14. Very poor.

The trucks are dangerous. The ramp is dangerous, the storage units are tiny and overpriced. And the lock you’re forced to buy are terrible.

There was a single employee present and a long wait to be helped. Once I was assisted during checkout the employee was so rushed that he couldn't process my transaction properly. He offered no information on how to access my unit. I attempted to access on my own immediately after being checked out and I was unable to access any of the doors. I returned to ask why and found out he never processed the transaction. I then had to wait again for the single employee to come back from 'hooking up a trailer' which was partly true, the smoke break being the other.. Then this employee was unable to read credit card numbers on his own, I had to repeat phone numbers and card numbers repeatedly over 10 mins for him to finally be able to actually process the purchase of the unit. I then had to ask him multiple questions on how to access, where the unit was located, etc. as he offered no detail proactively.

I explained my storage needs to a young lady who attended to me, in which I let her know and showed her one of the bikes i needed to store. for one there weren't any storage space that could accommodate my need, except for on the top floor of the building and the rest were to small. She had told me that the space I finally settled on only had four steps leading to the space, when it was actually 4 flights of stairs making it totally impossible for me to get my items to the space since there aren't any elevators. Seems to me she needs to understand the layout of the facility a bit more, Info was deceptive and I left very dissatisfied.

This facility has an extremely poor layout. In order to access the unit, you have to climb a super steep ramp that ends in a tiny landing. Good luck getting a moving truck up there. How is there no elevator?!? I rented a unit and then immediately moved out.

Veronica was very polite and helpful. She even gave me a water bottle after I asked if there was a Coke machine. (I was extremely thirsty after moving everything into the facility on a warm, humid day.) My only suggestion for the facility would be to put in a little ramp of concrete to cover the big bump at the threshold between the parking lot and the indoor storage facility. There's a big bump whether you go through the large garage door or through the small door next to it. This makes it difficult to push a fully loaded cart over that bump and into the building. Otherwise, it was a smooth experience!

I went to drop off my stuff on the storage only to be blocked off by all the Trucks, so I had no access to the drive up ramp not only that but, there was a lock on my storage unit that I did not have the key to so I couldn’t take anything in it even if I wanted to. Had to come back the next morning to unload.
