THERESA LLeft turn tail brake light fell out twice. Second time I pick it up on state road 3. Most people would be embarrassed. Handed it to the young man when I checked in to return.Walk around inspection needs to be . Not just visual. This is a probable cause to get a ticket. Another embarrassing moment to most people. At return an drop off location. I walked over to another tow dolly and same clip was not properly on. Tow dolly I had rivets were broken. Equipment was clean.

jim STrailer had no brake fluid in reservoir. Had to buy some at auto parts store. One of the tires had a vibration. Could see where the wheel weight had been but no longer there. Trailer is not easy to remove from my truck due to the tongue weight. You would think a Trailer that size would have a Trailer jack on it. Ones that are sold from Trailer companies have them. The car carrier I rented had one on it. Floor was filthy. Had to sweep it out before loading it.

lyle cI rented a trailer for 2 days and got a month of storage for free, I got my trailer full and went to unload all my items into storage and someone put a second red lock on my unit, I was locked out with no communication, I got set back a half a day and ended up needing the trailer until 7 o'clock the following day, they are now trying to charge me for 2 days extra and I only had the trailer 24 extra hours. I picked up the trailer Friday around 6:30 pm and delivered the trailer back on Sunday right after 7 o'clock and now they are charging me an additional $64 for 2 extra days when I already paid $64 for Friday and Saturday. If I knew they would charge me again I would have just kept the trailer and used it for more moving purposes. Very unprofessional and can't believe they locked me out of my unit with no communication, no card, no email, no text message. If this never happened I probably would t have kept the trailer an additional day

Steven IThe nickel and dimeing is horrendous. I had to leave late because the rented equipment wasn’t easily available. Took about thirty minutes to get it. They sure counted that as part of my 24 hrs even though I couldn’t leave long after I filled out the paperwork to pick it up. (Dolly wasn’t available they were stuck together apparently). I returned my truck and filled out the entire paperwork and did the app last. Apparently the app is all that mattered because they charged an extra day $50. When I had arrived on time!!! Was told to not be short on gas or get a fee so I overshot it. Did not get a credit but sure did get even more fees elsewhere. No matter what they say estimate an extra $100 because clearly they’re going to add on a bunch of fine line fees. Also it had less gas than what it said when I left. But I didn’t want to go back inside over a petty amount. But apparently this company is that level of petty so I should have.

I wish I could sign a waiver and load the trailer to the car without having to interact with people at this office. People could take pictures at this stage too. Good equipment; people need to try kindness.

Walter N | First ImpressionsAfter I completed the self return, I entered the building to return the keys. The employee there insisted that I re-park the truck in a location more convenient for her even though I had already completed the return and documented per U-haul's process where the truck was parked. It was lazy of the employee and after a day of moving, I was frustrated with her lack of willingness to do her job. Because of that employee, I will not recommend this location to anyone.
Austin MA little coffee and snacks, other then that, Westside Uhaul is the perfect place for all your moving needs and I mean everything, and the staff will put you right on it fast. Thanks yall for the experience.

RODNEY F | First ImpressionsMultiple bird nests in the unit along with dead birds. Lots of bird poop on furniture and boxes. Obviously no one checked because you can see and hear the birds. Can look between units and see multiple nests in other units. Poor service by U-Haul.

Kevin FInitially I reserve the truck in 5801 National Rd E, Richmond, IN 47374 location to be picked up at 9a on Sat 5/4/24... I had ANY solution for almost 4 hr until the contact suggest me reserve on 3150 National RD W, Richmond. Poor help from the initial office!

timothy b | First ImpressionsThe store and equipment was nice and clean. However it was a shame that we were quoted one price on the phone, then it was higher when we picked up the rental. Then when they plugged in the address as to where we were going the mileage was not correct, nor the mileage to where we were dropping off the rental. So right off the bat we knew we were over the mileage that they said, and that would be another up charge. When I asked about the mileage overage he said they go by the computer and I was basically out of luck. I hate feeling like we really had no other option since it is the only choice for rental trucks in our area and can name any price. I will say that it is a sour note for the U-haul reputation.
Shawn BHave safe driving trucks!!!! The tie rod ends either outer or inner need replaced!!! Was swerving all over the road especially being a windy day made it that much harder to drive. Took it back and told the check in guy and told him about it. Did not even get 3 miles down the road and the ABS light came on and remained on. I was over on mileage the the check in guy said not to worry about it, since the truck was actually unsafe to drive. I was like 35 miles past from what I initially paid for. Was driving my car home and I got a notice from the bank that they went ahead and charged me anyway for my extra mileage. If they rent that vehicle out again without fixing the issues I would say that U-Haul would be liable for the damages caused by an inexperienced driver. After charging me the extra mileage I won’t recommend this place to any of my friends or family.

Although this last experience was a long term storage rental. I would like to personally Thank Shara. Uhaul Westside Richmond IN, 47374. She was always helpful and professional . She was very understandable about my financial situation. I am retired and living on a single check per month. My move in date was on the 26th of the month. Therefore, my payment was due on the 26th of each month. Every month when I called her on the Sunday before the 26 date of every month. She always remembered me. Most importantly as long as I made that call on or before the due date, she graciously, didn't charge me the late fee. Of course I made my payment on the 3rd of each month. That is when I got my payment. I never was made to feel embarrassed of my situation. Most appreciately, I was never charged the extra late fee. Shara automatically understand that I needed every cent to get by. I have been a professional, a business owner and a youth coach in our community. I believe strongly in professionalism and hard work. I also understand that a company survives at its very best when given high quality standards for the customer. That alone will keep customers walking in your door. It is also the very best advertisement, that doesn't cost the Big $$.! I want to thank the uhaul staff again for many years of great service. And it is its own building dedicated to storage and rentals. Not stuck next to some barely lit sketchy gas station or old pizza hut for a change :-) If I ever need another unit they are the ONLY place I will go. You won't regret it!!!
