The app is dumb it had me go all the way across this big parking lot to a locked truck check it out then go back to the office only to get the keys to a different truck (the app assigned a new truck) then it tells you to look for a code on the left (don't say front back only lower left) and the code is on the opposite side. Only gave a average rating because it seems as though the app and the actual in-person procedure is on two pages

I am extremely satisfied with my overall experience with U-Haul. The employee Lawrence was there by himself because two of his co-workers had called off from work but he still was very professional nice and displayed excellent customer service despite being short staffed and alone. He made my experience flawless and because of him I will definitely be using U-Haul in the future. He was great.

The employees where extremely helpful at this location, when I picked up the trailer there was a male employee that waited on me that sounded sounded to be from the south, He stated he lived in Hazel Park I believe but spends a lot of time in the south and when I returned the trailer in the morning there was a black man that took care of the return, both these employees wer extremely helpful,

I bought a great solid wood IKEA dining table off craigslist with 8 solid wood matching chairs. Needed to store them until I could drive the stuff (and mattresses, and household goods) up to the western Upper Peninsula. U-haul has the solution.

so, the pick up part was fine, the drop off was a little off, we pulled up and the sign says, IF you are there during business hours, you have to wait for a person to come out and help you, but we waited and waited and waited and other people were being waited on so we checked out using the 24/7 method. The sign should say, if you would prefer to check out the 24/7 method, so we did feel like we were breaking the rules, also, the truck was not clean, but asked us if it was clean for the next person and I had to upload pictures??? we drove it to Menards and back and since there was no walk thru before, I am not sure how you can hold others accountable or how I would even argue the fact unless I took photos before?

Please make sure your trailers are cleaned out. And the tires have air in them I had to clean out the trailer before using it and the trailer had a piece of metal in it and was flat .

We waited with our rental truck, as the sign at the return lane said, for 15 minutes in the return lane, for someone to come out and check our pick up back in after our rental. We finally went inside to find no customers inside, and one employee at the counter. I told him we'd been waiting for 15 minutes in the return lane, as the sign says, to get our truck checked back in. He then went out and checked it back in. He then told us that most people just come in with the keys to return their rental. NO apology for us waiting 15 minutes for NOTHING!! So they either need to take the sign down, or do what it says. WHY does a simple thing, like returning a rental truck after a 5 hour rental have to be so hard, or complicated?? Also, the inside of the windshield of our Ford F-150 was absolutely filthy!! Looked like it had NEVER been cleaned in the 17,000 mile life of the truck!1

I did not want my boxes to go back to U-Haul storage. I wanted them to go from house A to house B. I had to have them shipped to U-Haul warehouse and then make an appointment to have them shipped to house B. A local move.

I appreciate all the kindness and help I received, I want to thank everyone at Uhaul and especially the manager who helped me more than words can say, he went over and beyond helping me. I had some help that left me with one guy helping me, the other guy had a stroke which left me shaking up, so I had the Uhaul truck longer than i expected to, so the manager who was working the 1st day I got the truck went over and beyond, God bless you all richly and may all be safe and protected during these trying times. They called me to setup an arrival time for the container, I called back ten minutes later and they were booked for the day. After that it was difficult to schedule a drop off time and date. They also kept calling me instead of the person receiving the container. I asked them several times to call the person receiving the container and they still continued to call me. This is not a service I would recommend or use again myself.

i was given a trailer with a broken ramp, made loading difficult. when i returned and told them, they said they were aware of the broken ramp. What , then why did you give me this trailer when there are 3 other trailers here. no answer.

I has an issue with the mobile check in process. My Location Services were enabled, but the website was unable to recognize my location. I popped into the facility and the staff was incredibly helpful and had me on my way within minutes.

Could not do my reservation online as requested and ended up calling in my reservation to customer service. At the time of the call told different than what the manager said 2 days prior. Then when getting that discrepancy cleared up was then given a different price for per mile. At the store I was not able to complete my part online for the reservation. How can you require things online yet doesn't work ?

I tried to check in using the app, but it wouldn't work because it could not determine my location. After checking in at the counter (which was a good experience (fast, helpful, everyone wearing masks) I again needed to use my cellphone to confirm damage, fuel, mileage, condition of truck, etc.. It took over half an hour, with the connection finally freezing during a picture upload. After another trip to the counter the manager came out to help. So the entire check out process took about one hour. Oh, that includes my reservation was for one location, and when I went there they told me my reserved truck was at a different location 2 miles further away.

I had problems accessing the website due to it not being able to locate my phone even though location services was switched on. Luckily I was picking up and dropping off during normal business hours. The van was not extremely clean: pretzel on the floor, McDonald's cup tucked in the side railing in the back. Staff often wasn't wearing masks. Returning the vehicle seemed to take awhile as the employee was on a smoke break the entire time.

I am very disappointed by this transaction. I noticed few ripped bags and found a lot of rat feces (I have pictures) in few of my boxes. I paid close to 2000 dollars just to receive my belongings covered in rat poop. I am not very happy with this experience.

It would have been nice to get a pro-rate on the renaming month i had left. I had a half month left and I feel I should have been credited. I also waited an excessive amount of time getting what i needed.

Employees including the manager do not wear masks properly even when a disabled, immunocompromised customer asks them to. They are rude and not helpful at all. They cost me several hundreds of dollars in rentals due to not helping and being rude. I would never rent from them again nor ever recommend them.
