The van looked like it had a full tank, but when I filled it before I returned it, then it was clear that the full actually pushes the needle a little past full. So my 50km of driving took a $40 to fill back up. So really watch the fill level before taking it out, especially if you are dropping it off after hours.Craig K.

There was no loading bay. Access to the building and unit were through small doorways and tight hall ways. There is a support post in my unit right by the entrance. The building is dark and it's difficult to see anything.Peter H. | Online Move In

I would highly reccomend informing drivers of vehicles that the vehicle being used may be in MPH instead of KPH, could result in speeding fines for customers who may not be aware. Also reversing the truck out of where it was parked was very tight and potentially difficult for a novice driver, however i fully appreciate that there is not much you can do about that given the space and amount of vehicles needed in Saskatoon.Tom F.

I have used Uhaul many times, and had issues with almost every location I have death with. Not here! I called, the very pleasant lady who answered my call asked a few questions to determine exactly what I needed, looked up my account and made the reservation in less than 5 minutes! When we showed up the next day, they were ready, the trailer was ready and Bryan helped us load our car onto the trailer! Exceptional service and such pleasant employees! Wow! They made me pick up the trailer at a location way across town that was sooo much smaller than what I needed and no one called me to tell me about the change. They wouldn't let me return it to my chosen location and no one knew what was going onâ€¦. Everyone told me to call someone else. They all told me wrong stuff. I work at a uhaul dealership which is where I wanted to pick it up but it got switched across town for no reason. Then no one told me the correct info and I KNOW IT. They messed up and still didn't apologize. FUCK THIS. I will be carrying my stuff next time rather than dealing with this company.Cameron H.

The location has lots of yard room to turnaround/hook up which was nice. The young fellow on the desk that did my paperwork was happy and super helpful and made small talk with me while he processed the rental. I was beyond impressed. Must be an exemplary employee. The fellow who hooked me up was excellent also. Smiling and professional. I've been to several uhaul locations that could use some customer processing training from Saskatoon. I used to recommend this location but not after my poor experience yesterday. The staff rented us a filthy unit while there were others still available. I mentioned it to the staff on duty and was told there is nothing they can do! I won't be back to this location, until things change with the poor customer service. Poor service. They had new employees who don't know the rules of the company properly. They passed wrong information about rental contact. Even the manager talked was rude. Will never recommend to anyone. Specially this branch. Useless. How the manager can say â€œ oh my employees are new and not aware of systemâ€ Really bad experience.MANPREET B.
The paper they gave me show the gas tank full and i was told to return it the same way, but it wasn't really full. When looking at the fine print on the paper it explained how to Calculate the ammount needed to refill the tank and I only had to put 5 litters not the 15 it took to fill completely. I wish they have at least mentioned that detail beforehand, so I didn't ended up expending more than I had to.Emilio H.

Ask about the overall experience. That's a different story, and not a positive one at that. First off we booked online a week early, received CONFIRMATION, and then were told 24 hours to pick-up that they did not have the size of truck that I ordered and RECEIVED CONFIRMATION FOR! I wanted a 10 foot truck and was offered a 26 foot truck. That's a huge difference in wasted space, difficult parking and extra fuel costs. I ended up driving to a different city to pick up a trailer instead. Once again you figured out a way to mess this up. None of our confirmations or emails had the correct pick up location. Kind of a big deal when it's a different city! I had to call the customer service line 3 times during this transaction due to an extremely poor online system. I will be purchasing a covered trailer so I never had to rent again in the future. This was an awful experiencePLACIDO K.

During our current pandemic situation it was unsettling that we were given a vehicle that had sunflower seed shells all over the cab of the truck and dirty drink holders. I would expect things to be cleaned between rentals. Thankfully the young man promptly cleaned and sanitized the cab as soon as we pointed it out.Spencer G.

On October 9th I booked an appointment to have my hitch installed on my vehicle for October 12th. My payment went through and I received confirmation via email, Reservation #23910160. I arrived at my scheduled time and was told the employee that does the hitch installation wasn't there, and that the onus was on me to call and make sure someone was available. I checked over my order as well as the website and did not see that anywhere. I confronted the store manager with this and he then told me it was head office's mistake for not calling me and warning me and not theirs. This is completely unacceptable. I booked this appointment 3 days in advance and nobody felt the need to call me and tell me there was no employee to install the equipment I paid for, which included labor costs. Not only was it inconvenient to be told they wouldn't install it, but I don't live in Saskatoon and ended up driving FOUR hours, with two vehicles, for no reason.Ryan B.

Vehicle was so dirty on inside and outside. There were receipts, bandaids, string and rope, a pen and even a travel mug from the last drivers. In addition; the dealership noted the gas to be 7/8 full inaccurately. Luckily it was caught before I was responsible for approx $15 in extra gas. The local customer service reps told me that I would get compensation for the dirty van and then told me they had no authority to compensate meUchechukwu M.

Despite checking in online and setting up an alternate account access for my son, they had trouble finding the account and said I had to be there as he was not registered. In the end they phoned to confirm with me but the process was lengthy and frustrating given we followed their directions. Did not know the storage was not accessed from outside. An apartment’s worth of items had to be moved down two long hallways - they did provide a dolly. Also the size I ordered on the phone was not big enough despite explaining contents so had to upgrade to a bigger size at a higher price.Sheila K. | Online Move In

i reserved a 10*14 unit about a month ahead and called few times later to confirm it as I was bringing stuff from a small town 2 hours away and didn't want any disappointment. each time I called staff confirmed my reservation. even on the date of move I called the facility and the lady on staff confirmed the reservation and didn't mention anything about it being not available. few hours later when i reached the facility they said unit was not available, I had to cram my stuff into a smaller unit of 10*10 and ultimately had to buy another unit 10*5 additionally paying 80$. Also staff didn't' offer any insurance despite asking multiple times. now some of my cushions are permanently damaged and I request U-HAUL to pay my damages and reduce the the rental fee.
