STEVEN GThis is probably very bad timing for this survey. My car has a check engine light, the auto start doesn't work, and after I got home I decided to return to the facility and my car will now not start. My vehicle is a 2024 Kia Seltos with only 35,000 km on it and there has never been a no start issue with it. I am beyond frustrated as it took over 5 hours to do the installation and now I do not have a functioning vehicle.
Peter GEverything went as planned and the equipment was ready and waiting when I arrived. In past, because you didn’t have a location in Cornwall, we had to reserve from gas stations etc etc and the equipment was often not there or had been returned and was not in good order. Just keep your availability and reservation commitments and you will do well.

Danny OUhaul is our go to provider for our needs. This location is convenient, clean, and has friendly staff. The trailer was perfect but had some dirt from previous user. No big deal.

JAMES MHorrible experience. I called and explained I needed a truck to move four appliances and I needed an appliance dolly. The girl on the phone recommended a 20 ft truck with a ramp and told me it would be available at this location, along with a dolly. When I showed up, they switched me to a 10 ft truck with no ramp and they didn’t have a dolly. They told me to drive to another location, which costs money per KM, to get a dolly. When I drove to the other location, it was extremely unprofessional and they didn’t have a dolly either. I ended up having to lift appliances. Horrible experience and a complete waste of money.

CHRISTIAN LStaff were truly great to work with and very helpful - especially Eric and the young lady with the long hair at the counter. The other guy at the counter with the longer hair was also very helpful. All in all, a great experience. The only thing I could recommend was that the bay be blown out at the end of each day to limit the dust and that there be some garbage facilities on site for convenience.

KRISTA THave the truck that we rented online be actually available when we come in person. We were also given a smaller van, which meant that more trips were required, which also means that we had to pay more for being over our agreed mileage.
ERIN ESnow all over the windshield, had to ask for a scraper to clear it. Truck wasn’t in ready to go condition, it seems like there are teenagers running the show that aren’t really sure what they are doing. Really, not impressed. Had a much much better experience in the recent past with a different UHaul company out of St.Andrews Ontario
BRENT HMy only concern at the moment is to access our indoor storage. Because the gate access code is not set up yet. When we get there we have to look around for a person telling us in the door. Sometimes it can take up to 5 to 10 minutes. It's a big waste of time whenever we're in a hurry

KLAUS BI payed 62 something for uhaul as i payed by credit card they told me you will get the 35 back to your account 19.95+16 as insurance thats my actual cost but they charge me deposit and you will get back after giving back the van but I didn’t receive till now
BENSON BMy location was changed on me for pickup, doubling the drive distance and amount of fuel with no compensation. My pickup was delayed by two hours because even after switching locations, the mobile pickup still wasn’t set up. A manager texted me asking if I want them to call me, I said yes and never heard from them. You cost me an extra 50km plus $30 in fuel as well as I paid movers to sit and wait for two hours. Nothing is being done, I am not all happy with the service
KYLE KThe tires are not appropriate for winter use. My employees did work refusal. We did a deliver in a county home and the truck slide right off the driveway and had to get a tow truck to pull us in the right direction. After he refused to drive it I added the name of my other shipper and his first time driving it he slide right through the sign. So we rented at national instead for the next two week until we find a cube van to purchase even thonits twice the price. Really not worth the work place incident
Nicholas BI went in on Saturday, February 1, 2025. There were 4 people lined up and no staff. About 8-9 minutes later, a staff person came to the counter. He was helping another client. I was there for a total of 50 minutes, while having my helper in the car waiting and paying for her time her while waiting. When it was my turn, I asked if there was another staff available, he said no. There were 6-7 people waiting behind me. I had called the week before to inquire about the units and he sells your services well but it’s a different thing when you get there. There were 2 different unit numbers on the form. Couldn’t find the unit because the unit had a different number. My unit is 1666 which is near the big garage door. The units are supposed to be heated but being near the door, it certainly is not heated. The only reason I chose U-Haul was because you offered the first month free and they were new units. However, my experience on February 1st was not what I expected.

Bianca attempted to accommodate me the best she could after I had some major mishaps which caused me to delay move-in following my truck rental. The other 2 members of staff were also pleasant and helpful during my visits to the Cornwall facility. Nice work! Keep it up!

Sanifix C | First ImpressionsArrived and doors were locked. Had to walk around building and still could not get in. Returned to main doors and still locked. Finally I was noticed and they had forgot to unlock them. Was given key to truck and was told it is one of the three by the road. Walked to the three and realized it was not one of them. Had to return back to the office. The lady went out to find it. Lost about 20 mins of time. Truck was covered in snow and ice. It has not snowed in four days. Took more time to clean it off. Very disorganized.

PAUL SAbsolutely pathetic excuse of management of this facility. Untrained staff with no experience; no appropriate manager onsite as an alternative. Extremely long, wait time due to low staffing and unknowledgeable staff. Construction filth everywhere. “Drive In“ option not available however adjustment not made to the rental rate. Garage entry unpainted with garbage everywhere inside and out. Garage entry completely covered in ice.

Charles TOur overall storage space rental experience was very good. As the Cornwall facility was rather new and still being converted from a big box store to a functioning U-Haul location, we experienced a small amount of inconvenience from time to time loading items in and out of the space. These problems cannot be attributed to anything under staff control at the facility.

GURPREET BI paid with my debit card, and when I returned the dolly, the staff member didn't inspect it first. Additionally, I didn't receive my deposit back immediately on my debit card. Now, it seems I might get $48 after a few days.

JEAN-PIERRE PGet side mirrors on the vehicles that are easier to adjust. I could not adjust them at all and so hated driving and having to bring my head to the window to see anything behind me. Good view of the yellow lines though.

Daniel MFor instance, once my truck was all loaded, I tested the provided lock. I observed that I was not able to lock it as it appeared to have been forced prior by someone else…… I returned at the end of the day to 950 Brookdale. The agent on duty provided me with a new lock for the night (I was planning to be parked at Cornwall Best Western). An excellent proof of UHaul customer’s service.
PAUL STwo weeks later, I am still waiting for a response from the GM. Ironically, when I missed my rent for a day, within 24 hours my account was slapped with a $15 surcharge. Since the matter borders on dishonesty at best, unethical or perhaps fraudulent conduct at worse, the matter demands management attention. Since I lost money and incurred extra cost, should I not receive a response within a few days, we will find a way to escalate. We expect a multinational company like uHaul to demonstrate better corporate responsibility.

MICHAEL CI was hoping to get some of my money reimbursed since I only used 5 days into October and not the full month. I was disappointed when I was told I would not get reimbursed. My reasoning for choosing no for facility secure and well lit - the lights kept going out when I was going through my boxes that were stored in the unit. The facility was secure.

DEAN KI arrived for my pickup at 7:50 am. Attendant said she would be right out to hook up trailer but had to tend to other people waiting. I hooked up myself and she came out at 8:20am. Not her fault. She should not have been alone on a first Saturday of the month. Very busy!!

PIERRE BStaff not exactly welcoming when I went to pick up the vehicle. Vehicles were some distance from the building. Asked which one was mine, I was told “it’s one of the two”. Vehicle was clean but had a large cardboard sign in the cab. Vehicle had slightly over a quarter tank of gas. Printer wasn’t working so no explanation of charges was given and I had to pay in advance. Returned vehicle a day early and asked if there would be a refund, the answer was yes but no indication of how much or when. Overall a poor experience.

AMANDA LMake sure the equipment is thoroughly checked I found a bolt on the leveling / crank missing when I picked it up. Not dangerous but would have been a pain if the bolt fell out.

dwayne dThe online pick up system is awful. Wasted about 30$ in data on my phone re entering the information 10 times. There was no advance warning that I needed 2 people to verify who I was which was tricky since I worked until 7 and could only get to pick up the truck around 8:30, most people do not answer their phones that late and seeing as it's meant to be 24/7 pick up, it would have been even more challenging if I'd only been able to get there after 9pm.

I stood waiting for about 15 minutes while other staff walked by with no word of an acknowledge from anybody. The attendant at the desk was busy helping a customer. She was pleasant to deal with. This issue appears to be a corporate issue as within seven days I visited five stores and the experience was the same.

The local staff took all my information again that I inputted previously to the online reservation. It didn’t take too long to get me a unit. When I went to the unit, there was no lock as I was advised to buy the local staff because I reserve the unit online. The matter was quickly handled when I went back to the desk with the local staff. The only reason I left was that I was not able to access my locker 24/hrs a day and had to go in to the office to get a garage door opener and return it when done. Not convenient at all. If this is not a concern to someone then the location is great.
