I had ordered my uhaul June 29th to pick up on July 10th. I was supposed to receive a phone call by a representative in the area by 6pm on Friday July 9th. I never received a phone call. I ended up calling the Jamestown location where I had planned for the original pick up and the representative there said I would receive a call although it is 430 on Friday. I waited and still did not receive a phone call. I had called the location in Thomasville NC and spoke with a guy named Travis who did everything he could to get me a truck. If it wasn't for Travis I don't believe I would have even gotten anything. He reserved a truck for me in Greensboro but I was then changed at 830 right before my pickup time at 9 am on Saturday to this location. Was deeply disappointed with how uhaul had treated me leading up to my reservation. At the end of the day I got a truck however, I had to spend multiple hours calling different locations while each place was struggling to even find my reservation. This should have already been done days before my move but was done in less than 12 hours of when I was picking up the truck.Hartley F.

Benit or however you spell the phone rep name took my credit card info over and over and over because he said he needed it for the file. Then when I call the facilities to place my stuff in my “storage container” there was no record of it. The two men at the trinity location helped me out with this issue . Thank god. But your phone rep was horrible and he better not try to use my credit info. I’m very uncomfortable he asked me for it repeatedly but yet didn’t even make my storage reservation. After he had told me he did it and my card info went through. Smh in disappointment and fear. I will report to the police if my card is used anywhere that I didn’t give permission. My experience was quick and easy. I arrived at 7 to rent my unit and had to get to work immediately after unloading the truck. I did everything in about 45 minutes. It helped that there were carts available to help unload and roll your belongings to your unit. Great experience all around and Nicole was a doll! Reserved a truck to be picked up at 9am on Sat May 1st. When arrived it took me one full hour to be processed. There was only one attendant working the whole operation. Something caused all of my things to absorb a cigarette smell. The truck itself didn't smell like smoke, but there may have been a butt stuck in the ventilation. Literally all of my stuff smells like cigarettes now. I don't smoke, and nobody was smoking nearby at either end of the move. It's disgusting, it's in my mattress, and it makes it hard to sleep. On an unrelated note, the drop off point that was available to select on your website no longer receives drop offs. I made this reservation less than 2 weeks ago, update your website.David S.

I went in and I got attended quick, which is always great, but the truck stank like cigarettes and I'm guessing that the previous user of the truck bought a Gaderate and did not drink it, they left it in the truck and it snuck by my feet as I was driving. We were given the price of 54 per day for a car trailer. We purchased additional insurance for 88 dollars. After having the car carrier for 9 days we were billed $808.00. I asked the manager to please refund the appropriate difference as we even paid for day 1 at the time of pickup. So where did $808.00 come from? Then I was told the taxes were over $100?? I'm college educated and this doesn't add up!!! I am a veteran and my husband and I are business owners so Im furious about this. If I am not compensated accordingly...I am going to an attorney for falsifying documents and false advertising. According to my calculations we are owed at LEAST $234.00. But because we lost business for 2 days because our budget and overhead exceeded the limit due to this mess, I would appreciate SOME type of compensation for that as well. And the manager at your Trinity Rd location in High Point seemed to WANT to pass the blame and told me to call corporate cause " There is nothing she could do" We have been behind ever since !!! It was really really confusing how to get into the unit for the first time. Checking in was a nightmare. It took so so long to get checked in - the person at the front desk wasn’t at all helpful. He wasn’t able to provide much guidance. We rented a truck that day as well and he couldn’t figure out how to remove the furniture pads we didn’t want. It was taking so long and we were cutting into our rental time that we just said screw it and paid the additional $20 for a product we didn’t want or need. The facility itself was very clean. I was offered the free month because of using U-haul equipment so I took advantage of it. The staff was friendly and assisted me over the phone with some things I needed done with my storage. The only issue I had was that when I arrived today; the space that was rented to me was already occupied by another tenant. The secondary on my account removed my stuff on 07/29/20. The lock had to be cut and he had to gain access by an employee. There were no notes entered about the removal or the conversation that took place about the secondary removing my stuff. I was charged for the month of August. The only complaint I have is that when we went to empty the unit, it was padlocked!! I had autopay and there was NO REASON it should have been locked. I did not receive an explanation as to WHY it was locked. Also, they had me down as having multiple units and I only had one.
