Unprofessional staff who sits on their phones texting while customers are standing there waiting. Would never recommend Windsor uhaul on Dougal street. Walker road slightly better. Our storage unit door needed some repair. Though still operable, it was difficult to open and close. Though the staff were helpful and friendly, on two occasions requests were not carried out the first time. An old lock from the previous owner had to be removed and it took a few requests to have it removed. Also, when we were finished with the unit, we informed the attendant who neglected to enter the information in the computer. Had to go to this location, as the location I had booked for drop off would not take this trailer. I should have been told at booking that they would not take this trailer. I could have chosen another location at that time without having to waste my time. There is much room for improvement regarding this agrivation. What would have happened if I had dropped the trailer after hours. They would make room for it. So why do I have to drive and waste my gas for what is a uhaul problem. I found the staff unprofessional and rude. I gave them information about the movers that were coming to clear out my storage and they failed to write it down and delayed the movers. Be clear about your communication with the customers. Don't play unnecessary games if you need the vehicle for other customers early probably to increase the sale.( this goes to lady. The vehicle I rented was different than I expected. I thought the cargo van was a sprinter style vehicle but, it was a GMC Maxi-van. When we tried to fit a Queen size bed in, it wouldn't fit. Also, when I returned the vehicle, the charge was $100 higher than expected and when I call the following day to question it, the person that took my call said he would look into and and I am still waiting for a reply.MICHAELJAMES K.

The original walker place was where I rented the truck. They didn't have it when I got there. I had to go back to the original location out if my way to get it. Then they had the nerve to call me the next day. I rented the truck at 545pm. At 1035am the next day they call asking me to return the truck early or right away. I told them no. I have it till 545pm. Was rented out a unit with a non operating door - door was to be repaired and I was to be contacted when completed - I called a week later and I had to leave a message because it wasn’t apparent that the door was repaired - the following weekend I was contacted to be advised that I could move into another unit (not an end unit which I requested) I advised I would wait for another end unit to become available, as the one I had been booked under was rented to someone else now, I was then notified my monthly payment was coming due - I canceled. Not only did I have a ton of billing issues, when their lock seized I had to figure it out myself but don't dare damage their door... then I get my lock off and empty my unit dropped 3 boxes in their already messy garbage area and I get charged 50.00. I get the bill it says it is for storage not trash removal so pretty sure employees pocketed that money... overall terrible experience. This storage facility was really good at first, but then I could not get into the building where the storage locker was. My code was cancelled and despite many new cards, I had to call someone and wait for them to unlock the building. This went on for weeks until I was done and it was still not fixed. Still waiting for a call from the general manager. The unit was disgustingly dirty. My mattress was ruined as it had mold. The mattress and box spring were both wrapped in plastic and sealed to prevent this from happening. Furniture was ruined because of the layers of grime and dust. Staff are courteous however I was very disappointed with hygiene practices on site. None of the staff, including manager, wore PPE. This situation is not unique to the South Walker Rd location - I have been extremely disappointed with the Dougall Rd location. Yesterday, only one staff person at Dougall wore a mask - a young male. Neither Sammy or his young female staff wore masks for which I was very vocal about. I praised the young male for doing his part but the rest of the staff‘s negligence is inexcusable and potentially very dangerous. Today I returned to the Dougall location to find all without masks and told Sammy that I would report his location if he failed again. The Pandemic is not a joke. The Windsor/Essex County area has the highest per capita Covid infectious rate in the province of Ontario. A plexiglass barrier does not replace a mask especially in a city that mandates all to wear a mask. As an excuse, the young female defended her actions stating “I always wear a mask...” for which I stopped her from finishing because her current work hygiene exempts her from wearing A mask. I reminded Sammy that his door has a sign stating that all who enter must wear a mask - how does this not apply to them?
