This was not the location I made the reservation at. When I made the reservation U-haul said the trailer wasn't available where i wanted to get it from. Then over the coarse of the next couple days i received several conflicting emails and texts telling me whee to go. On the day of my reservation I went to the original location. After waiting in line for over 1/2 an hour i was told there wasn't a trailer that I requested. As a result I had to go to this location which was WAY out of my way and then it still wasn't what i needed.Ed B.

Honestly, this location was so far out of the way, the representative was extremely professional, the facility was nice, my only complaint was the location, and it was not this store's fault by any means. Even the representative helping me was handling a trainee (I think) and a difficult customer at the same time, things were said from the customer that made me roll my eyes, she was respectful and professional with them. It's difficult with my situation of where I was moving stuff to, so the 1800 number made it possible for changing locations, my biggest thing is maybe at the call center, trying to locate where point A, starting location, to point B ( which was an hour away from where I live, a storage unit I inherented...where the "stuff" was i needed to move, which was back to my house for a dumpster, (point C?) Then to a drop off location, which is another hour away from my house to point Drene Y.
I am upset for the non-communication of what I was going to be charged. If I knew that I was going to be charged for 3 days instead of 2 days I would have returned the car a lot sooner. I rented a truck on the 4th at 1:00 and explain to them I was not going to return it until after 4:00 they did not explain to me that I was going to be charged for 2 days because I was bringing the truck back at 4:00 instead of 1:00. The next day I was running a little late and called to explain my situation and to rent the truck for another day expecting it to cost only $19 more I also explained to them that I was not going to return the truck until after 4:30 because I get off of work at 3:30 because I have to go home get the truck and I live 30 minutes away. It was not explained to me that I was going to get charged for a third day plus two more days of rental insurance. If I knew I had to pay rental insurance of $28 per day I would have never taken rental insurance because I have full coverage on my auto insurance that covers any rental equipment or car that I rent to my understanding it was a one-time charge. So instead of paying for one day service Plus $19 for an extra day I end up paying 3 day service and 3 days worth of rental insurance that was not explain to me at the time of rental or the conversation I had on the phone for an extra day.Jade R C.

I love U-Haul we couldn't get a truck on Saturday because I guess there was a free dump day out at Lockwood dump so we called up your U-Haul and they said they didn't have any available so he said OK well well then will write one for Saturday for Sunday and by golly about 10 minutes later the manager whoever it was called us back and said we just got a 10 foot U-Haul truck in and ones available so we came and pick it up on Saturday and got everything done we just thought your service was outstanding and we will continue to come out there in Spanish Springs and ready U-Haul truck anytime and every time thank you so muchMike W.

The cover for the outside of the box is amazing! I would recommend adding another landing strip for the velcro that is on the side of the lock - the length at the top isn't enough to keep it from trying to flap inside the box as well as keeping it away from the opening. My housemate and I both caught our hair in it, just FYI. Also, the velcro was put through the ringer on the trip cross country. My items were fine, but I sliced the shit out of my thumb with the staples that were put in place to keep the cover on. I don't know if there is a way to make stronger velcro or to secure it with something else if the seal is damaged, but just an idea!Adela M.
Location was fine. The truck needed work and was difficult to drive. Leaked liquid onto our new driveway on the home we just purchased. The truck was not easily drivable over 55MPH which resulted in mileage overages. While the store refunded the difference, they stated they submitted a claim to the manager to have them call regarding how to proceed. We have yet to receive a call. U-Haul changed my reservation pick-up location 15 minutes before I was supposed to get it. The change was to a different location 35 minutes away. So that meant after two round trips, 2 hours of driving I was not planning for. I explained the error to Erich, the general manager of the new pickup location. He helped accommodate for the unexpected travel. The company's website needs to be fixed and not offer rentals at locations that don't have the specific vehicle.Joshua M.

My reservation was changed the day before my pick up. I was told the type of truck I had RESERVED!! was now not available. I had to go 30 miles out of my way to rent a larger truck than what I needed. The agent at this location told me when I arrived I needed to add a 2nd person to the reservation and if we couldn't get that person on the phone immediately I couldn't rent the truck. I am a 56 year old with a good driving record, I don't know why you need a 2nd unaffiliated person on the reservation. Other customers, check all other options before using U-haul.DAVID E.

This is a horrible nightmare! I have called and called Uhaul and they will not respond or correct my issue. I have been taken advantage of, no assistance and was stranded because I didn't have the money to complete my move due to the delay. I get transferred over and over and over. I was cussed at, threatened and left to drive hours out of my way eventually leaving my truck in a parking lot. Not a phone call, text, email or anything. I have lost everything. I was given a specific amount of time to leave my personal storage unit and I had no choice. I am not looking for any kind of handout but this needs to be made right and it is wrong I have to to keep hounding every single day. This has wreaked havoc on my bank account because the "free" extension due to my issue double charged my account! I am so screwed and it's compounding every single minute that this is not fixed. Due to the double charge, I am now receiving fees for all of my debits. I am stunned that I have not even received a call back. My first reservation led me to a closed locale. The second was the harassment and a filthy truck that I couldn't see out of. There was food, trash and debris inside the cab of the truck. I absolutely, did not appreciate being cussed at. Hours later, I was forced to take a 26 footer. I had to pay my movers and let them go. I was stuck. Why? The storage unit from online was closed. The guy on Rock made me buy a lock and said I couldn't leave the truck. I have absolutely no one in Reno. I had to leave it at a casino because I live over an hour away with family. I could not leave my care in Reno because I had to work. In addition, I was afraid to interact with the hostile and aggressive person that I rented the truck from and I was not given any alternatives. I wanted to leave the truck at the location I finally found that would honor the "first free month". It is in Spanish Springs! If someone was yelling the F-word in your face as a single woman, how would you feel? This is absolutely noted in my account and absolutely, no one has called me. The expense has been abhorrent and I had to borrow money to try to fix it. Of which, has been unsuccessful. No one on-line is willing to help and this should have been an easy move from one storage to the next in two hours that took almost three days. U-Haul needs to do a better job of tracking its equipment. Telling me 2 days before I take delivery that you have to cancel my contract is at best bush league at worst incompetent. The unit needed to be swept out. When I went to pick up the truck I reserved it was not available. I had driven out to Spanish Springs and I ended up in town at the facility on Oddie Blvd. It would have been nice to get a call letting me know about the truck not being available in Sparks and to go to Oddie Blvd in stead. Too many people trying to "help" but not actually getting anything done. We would prefer if 1 person helped us from start to finish of the transactions. Lots of he said she said and waiting to see what the other person was going to say. Facility very new and nice, outdoor unit kept cooler during summer than any I’ve ever renter (very nice), staff was always very friendly & helpful—made everything easy. Only issue was wind would blow trash (fast food wrappers, paper, etc) into the corner area around my unit - was always worried someone might think it was mine.
