All the employees where friendly there communication with customers were absolutely fantastic and the storage facility is very well maintained 10/10 would definitely recommend this location

Did not need furniture pads, Only thing I would suggest be improved is the communication between your staff. I got a phone call asking where to place box when I had already picked up my stuff at the Folsom hub.

EVELYN V | Overall ExperienceSteele Creek acting manager sent the staff home. Everyone and he was alone. I waited with others because he needed help. Matthew attached trailer while rushing me. I didn’t have the correct trailer nor was the tag correct on the trailer. Matthew isn’t very honest he stated the computers went down this caused the mix up. That never happened it was Thanksgiving holiday and he made the decision to send the entire staff home and work the location alone. U-Haul should send a secret shopper to see what we (customers) are having to deal with. Matthew had zero accountability for his actions. If I came into a location Matthew was working I wouldn’t rent there. My experience with Matthew was trouble. He isn’t honest and that isn’t a good look for U-Haul. No pictures were taken, wrong equipment and wrong tag. If he didn’t text me he would have continued to be dishonest about his actions.
ANNIE AI called the center in Charlotte to ask if I could leave the unopened pads in the extra pod I ended up not needing so I did not have to transport them and take space. The girl on the phone said, sure no problem. However, when the person came to p/u my 2 filled pods, they called the same gal who said "I never said that". OK, maybe it's not policy but why would I lie about that and why did I have to waste space to bring bags of pads to California? That was the only bad experience I had the whole time.

BRUCE DOnly thing I would complain is that after hours my card to gain access doesn’t work so I had to pay extra to keep the moving truck because I couldn’t gain access and the after hours person told me I would have to wait until the next business day to ask my main office for assistance other than that my experience was great

They are all just on their phones talking to friends. Ridiculous.

Monica HMy experience with your back office systems automation left a lot to be desired. While checking in the process of taking pictures and uploading them froze several times and I had to restart. Not very efficient with an employee sitting there having to guide me through the steps. Once I did finally get the truck rented, I didn't see the text prompting me to check the condition of the equipment until later when the link had already expired. When I went to turn in the truck after hours, the process of taking pictures and uploading them took way too long to work. The truck I rented had fairly significant damage to the driver side front bumper and the rear bumper had a large dent in it. Just looked bad that it hadn't been fixed.

Claudia SWhen I got there the representative was on a personal phone call and made me wait. Then when I asked for the 15 foot truck, he told me to go to another location. It was a huge inconvenience to have to pay more for a truck I didn't need and was more difficult to maneuver. I got the 20 foot truck and the key to the lock on the back door was missing, I had to go back to get a key. I hope no one has to go through what I went to just to move in a couple hours.

JEAN PMaybe put a sign near the front for that the key drop box is further down the building. Just took me a minute to find it because there were a few trucks under the canopy thing that blocked the view of the drop box. Nothing major, now that I know where it is, it won’t be an issue in the future of course.

SADIE GEspecially as compared to older stores, this is a very nice facility. It is always clean. It smells good, although like cardboard. I do wish U-Haul’s technical systems worked better. There is almost always a delay getting my license and info to go thru.

CHRISTOPHER VThe staff was very pleasant. The pickup location was clean and organized. However, we drove 300 miles to our destination before finding out the door was jammed and wouldn't open. Called roadside assistance and got no help whatsoever. Your service rep, was ineffective and couldn't arrange any solution. No exchange, no repair, nothing. So, at that point we recruited several guys to help and we were able to force the door open. Once inside, the trailer was filthy. We cleaned it up, loaded our content and headed home. Then realized there was a short in the wiring and tail/brake lights/turn signals would intermittently stopped working. Very unsatisfactory experience.

MICHELLE CThe drop off location doesn’t answer the phone even when their own employees call. Just so that they can charge me $50 for gas that should only cost 20. I will admit I had someone drop it off for me and I told him to fill it up and they didn’t. So I called to see if I could get the truck back because I had rented it for the entire day and I returned it early and no one ever answered the phone. I called at least eight times because I’m very persistent and still no answer anytime. Do better so that your customers will return Cause I won’t be

I guess someone’s partner was there with their child? Idk felt like I was interrupting them. I had spoken with the uhaul customer service as well as the uhaul property I had picked up my truck from and both assured me I would get assistance with loading my car on the towing unit. I was only given assistance with attaching the towing unit onto the truck and then left in the parking area with just some instructions to follow on a piece of paper. I had many questions but the attendant didn’t really help at all.

Got checked in and long behold my storage door was locked. Notified the employee about the issue and apparently it was still being used even though they allowed me to reserve it online. I was told that I could move into a larger unit but would have to cough up more money for it even though the mishap wasn’t my fault. I felt that I was taken advantage of and my hands were tied being I had come so far with my belongings and were ready to get them moved in. Overall not a good experience and wouldn’t recommend.

Doors are never unlocked to access the storage from the inside. Always trash, broken glass on the floors! I’ve flattened my tire in the garage where there was broken glass that was NEVER cleaned up. Along w no staff ever able at the desk- they never answer the ph…I’ve been placed on hold for 20+ mins at times, even getting in my car and driving to the Store while still on hold! Can never make a payment bc of these same issues but then be told I can’t enroll in auto pay bc my card is debit not credit. Totally horrible service all the way around!!
APRIL M | First ImpressionsWe were told by the staff that access to the warehouse ended at 10pm, even with the access card. That ended up being highly inconvenient. Usually storage places have 24hr access. If your in a jam due to traffic and weather or another unexpected event in your day and have everything in a moving vehicle that needs to be unloaded that night, regardless of hours, 24-hr access is necessary. While the staff are professional and the facility well maintained, the automatic key card hours are inconvenient and should have a system that can accommodate 24hr access. For this reason, I wouldn’t recommend the location but would refer people to one that has 24hr access.
