This was the worst experience I have ever had. I was charge $130 a month to rent my u boxes instead of the $100 a month I was told. My u boxes were not delivered to location I was told they would be delivered to. Your staff way under estimates how much a house needs. A two bedroom house easily needs 4 boxes instead of the recommended 2. I ordered 3 boxes and it still wasn't enough. The moving company I used to load was only able to bring two u boxes. Leaving me to try to get another u box at a site that was 40 minutes from my house. The wait to get through to someone was 50 minutes! When I finally was ready to have my u boxes delivered I was set up for self pick up when I SPECIFICALLY ASKED FOR THEM TO BE DELIVERED to my new residence. In order to keep the same move in date I had to pay extra to have the pods moved one at a time. It cost me $1300 instead of $500 to get my boxes and to unload them.Pretty much every staff member I spoke to shifted the blame and made it sound like it was MY ERROR. I was spoken over just about every time. The only person who did not do this was Shelby. I do customer service for living and not even the manager I spoke to did anything to make it right.joseph J.

Lillian and Curtis were so welcoming and professional. We were in and out in a few minutes with both reserving our truck and then picking it up. They are second to none in customer service. We would highly recommend them and would use them again.LEE J.
Approval should be done prior to completing a reservation when doing an after hours pickup. I had a reservation for 7pm and thought I was good to go but had to wait to be approved. Had I not been approved, it would have been a very inconvenient situation. Overall I'm satisfied with how easy everything moved once I was approved but I wish I would've known I would be waiting and not just able to pickup and go.Ericka H.

There are lots of options for uhaul in the SW Charlotte area, but this is our favorite! Mainly because of the superior customer service provided by Lillian! :) She was attentive, professional, and helpful. She helped us get the trailer set up and unhooked when we returned the trailer. They have a great selection of trailers and trucks, and it is very easy to get in and out of this location. Thank you Lillian for making our experience smooth and easy!Katie R.

Was not told ahead of that that the place I reserved the truck from on line was not where I had to pick it up. Uhaul moved my pick up location without notifying me. This cause me to lose almost two hours of time before I could start packing the truck. I spent over two hours on hold to talk with customer service only to get transferred to another department that did not answer. I suspect this is by design.Douglas H.

Although I did online check-in, it seems like when you arrive in person you have to go through check-in again. In person check-in should simply be checking your license and getting your equipment.Daniel E.

My overall U Haul experience was terrible. I showed up that morning at the location of my reservation and they had no trailers. It took 1.5 hours of phone calls and driving to a new location to get a trailer. I am very disappointed with Uhaul.WILLIAM R.

A new location so things should improve naturally but the systems went down when I was there so I never fully completed the standard pickup process but to no fault of the location or the guys there. Uhaul just needs to improve their network if the moment the west coast teams come online the east coast systems stop workingJEREMY S.

Honoring the same size truck that I rented would be nice. I requested a 15 foot truck and ended up getting a 10 foot. Our friends rented a truck on the same day from the same place and they same thing happened to them. They requested a 15 ft and they ended up with 20 ft truck. Not sure why we are making reservations if we don't get what we requested days in advance. Other than the size issue, the employees were nice to us and the location was convenient.Roger B.

This was the third location we were notified of for our rental pickup. The day before our reservation we were contacted that the pick up place we asked for could not accommodate us and we were directed to a different place a couple of miles away. When my gust and arrived to pick up the truck at the appointed time there were no trucks available and no one could assist him in finding a truck. I called uhaul and was redirected to another location 30 minutes away to pick up a larger than we needed truck.Kevin R.
