Have salespeople be attentive when a customer enters the store and stop doing other things (trying to fix a toilet in this case) and wait on them. In general, considering that U-haul charges &0.79 per mile, there should be a pro-rated amount for gas refill since we are already paying for the mileage used (dumb fecking policy). Better transparency would also be good...you advertise for $19.99 but, with tax, mileage, insurance it comes out to over $50? BIG difference; probably going to Home Depot next time.Paul B.

both Craig and 'Worker" were so very helpful and knowagble..Every step of the way I was given information to keep me safe and vigilant concerning my trip with the trailer. The trailer was in EXCELLENT condition and ready to go on pick up day.. It performed PERFECTLY and easily followed my truck at safe speeds always responding to changes of speed and direction.. I am not happy with my experience at this location whatsoever. We reserved this trailer back in June for our October wedding. Two days prior, I recieved an email saying the trailer needed to be picked up 30 minutes further. This did not work for me whereas we were on a time crunch with other places we had to be. So I called and explained we really do need to pick it up in Swansea and the gentlemen was super unprofessional and extremely off-putting. After having to speak with two other people the reservation was changed; however when it came time to drop the trailer off, the same gentlemen called me and after saying hello on the phone responded by saying "where's my trailer, you're late" which was not accurate whereas we reserved the trailer until 2pm and it wasn't even 12 yet. He kept talking over me saying we would be charged for another day etc. When we arrived, a guy on a bicycle, not in uniform told us to park and he was very odd. He truthfully appeared to be incoherent. This UHaul location was extremely unprofessional and I am disgusted by our experience here.Hannah R.

I would recommend due to being local. I do feel as if the truck could have been a bit cleaner but the one thing that did get me was the fact that they have furniture pads for use in the truck. I was not made aware and got scammed into purchasing two more bags of pads. I did ask for a refund for one bag seeing as I didn't even open the bag and the man said it was not possible. If I was informed of what was already in the truck I would have known better.Jessica T.

I spent $72 in buckets of DryAir over the 5 months. It's an outdoor facility, so "clean" is relevant to the circumstances. Also depends on how long you plan to stay. Mine went longer than expected. For $20 more, moved to a climate controlled facility for the long term.janis q. | Overall Experience

The man Richard was extremely rude and condescending, he tried to over charge me and I refused to pay so he canceled my reservation I had to rebook a mobile reservation and when I tried to get the keys he refused and said I had to wait in line, he was trying to again cancel my reservation and give it to someone else. Extremely unprofessional and felt discriminated agaiinst because he gave me attitude as soon as I walked in the door.. you will lose lots of business with this guy around what a price of work, hope he gets reprimanded and retires soon he should not be working with the public.david M.

We had to be redirected from a different location when The location I originally rented from did not have the van. We received a call from uHaul Just as we entered the original location. It all worked out but if I'd gotten that call 15 minutes earlier I would not have travelled to the original location and could have gone directly to the changed location.Michael C.

Online check in was also appreciated though confusing when I received a notification the night before that my location had changed due to availability and was unable to confirm through online (link lead me to a page where the menu was covering the reply box, I couldn't figure out what I needed to send back) and forced to call and wait on hold for 30 mins. Rep at the desk said â€œso it looks like you're going with our insurance for $14?â€ Good tactic to get someone to agree to insurance. We promptly said no and we were charged anyway for it. Called and was told a manager would be required to issue and refund and I would have to go into the store the following day. Again, another tactic to get my money, knowing that a trip back maybe isn't worth the $14. Won't recommend to anyone. Still looking for compensationjay R.

The unit I chose with the 1 (800) was too small and I had no idea it was only 2 floors which meant we’d be moving thing by climbing a flight of stairs. Every storage unit I’ve used always had more than just 2 floors so not knowing til I showed up was kind of disappointing but the men were very sweet and understanding and very accommodating. I had a bad experience with being rented a UBox when I requested a storage space. I was told it would remain on site so it wasn’t a big deal until the manager up and moved the Ubox to another town, my computer and musical equipment was unsecured and bounced and slammed around, damaging my PC monitor. They did work with me to get a storage space, brought my stuff back. Moves are stressful enough this was just a nightmare experience that could have been avoided if not for a stubborn decision from the manager to move a rented UBox without my consent!Jonas D. | Overall Experience

When I arrived at the facility I had gone into the office with a quick question and I saw the Uhaul employee having a disagreement with a customer. The customer was extremely rude and refused to have an understanding conversation. I just wanted to state that this employee kept calm the entire time. He was polite and rational the whole time, even when the customer was getting pretty loud with him. I was very impressed with how he handled the situation and I’m glad I witnessed it so that I could give this feedback. It was ridiculously easy. Too easy in fact. Make it a challenge! Just kidding. I would like to say the person at the front desk was very helpful at the Uhaul I went to. He even walked with me to show me my storage unit and gave me the lay of the land. Made everything clear on where I should bring my car around too without me having to ask. Felt like he put himself in my shoes and knew what questions I would have before I could ask them. I liked that a lot. Definitely will be my place to store stuff in the future. I had a customer representative that was fairly grumpy and I felt more like an inconvenience rather than a customer. He did help overall but it was met with initial resistance. I wanted to drop off my UHaul at the Swansea location instead of the Twiggs location after I had just emptied my truck into my storage container and he told me I should adhere to my original reservation. I called Twiggs in Warren, RI and she was lovely and said it shouldn't be a problem to drop off my Uhaul at that Uhaul location. She initiated the change in reservation that allowed me to drop off my Uhaul. She was very helpful! He did overall help and take a truck but I felt as though I was inconveniencing him.
