U-haul changed out drop off location to 20 minutes away from our selected drop off location halfway through the day which was unexpected. The link they sent to verify the drop off did not work and then it took awhile to get ahold of someone. The customer service lady was very please and helpful. It was very frustrating and disappointing that The staff available to me were unable to take my credit certificateâ€” at both check in and check out both staff members told me different ways to use the certificate that contradicted eachother. Both the Murrieta and Temecula sites' staff people were helpful and courteous and customer-focused. However, the UHaul computer system needs some real attention. The automated suggestions for rental return sites were appallingly inappropriate, not taking into account closed routes and international borders, and the costs and delays of ferry systems. Also the amounts offered via texts for towing another customer's trailer were ridiculously inadequate given the realities of cost of gasoline in California and the poor mileage (worse than the website specification) of the truck. Customer service rep was responsive and sympathetic but wasn't able to correct the computer system. This was stressful because of the inappropriateness of the system's recommended check-in sites.Keith G.

We reserved the U/Haul in-line and the customer service rep rounded us to the nearest location. We mentioned that the listing was saying that the location was closed on Sundays. She assured us tha it was open. So we reserved a truck for Sunday at 2:15. When arrive we saw a closed sing on the door and another couple waiting outside. We thought maybe the stepped away and would be right back. After waiting 15 we called the toll free number and was and hold for another 20 minutes before hanging up and driving to another location. This location was by far the worst I've ever had to experience. Zach and the girl working were incredibly rude, unhelpful and extremely unprofessional. Not only did they refuse to help me, they asked me to leave claiming they were closing, but the hours on the door didn't match what they were stating. They began arguing and cursing at my boyfriend stating they didn't give a shit why we were there. I've never been treated so poorly and have never seen someone hate their job so much. Being in customer service, you should want to help your customers. I would never recommend this location and will probably not be using uHaul again.VERONICA R.

I had to pay 14.00 for 2 gallons of gas when it was just hair below the mark, so I was charged 2 gallons and an extra 20.00 I'm sorry but that is horrible customer service and I will NEVER be using uhaul again I will rent a car from now on! I called to get Sunday helpers at about 3:30 Saturday, two for 2 hrs. for $154, super lucky, but your employee said both cards declined. There is plenty enough in my accounts. What's wrong? It's dangerous. I had a smaller unit 1442 and the entrance to the unit is low over hanging unfinished sheet metal. I have to duck significantly low to enter and exit the storage unit. I am 5'10". Recently I lacerated my skull on this overhang so severely I had to rush to Urgent Care after I bled all up and down the storage facility and eventually stopped the bleeding. I was hitting the emergency help buttons throughout the facility during regular business hours as I held my hand over my wound as it bled all over my face and arms. No one answered. I made it to the bathroom and was eventually able to stop the bleeding long enough to call the front desk from my cell phone. The two employees arrived with a first aide kit and assisted me in bandaging the wound so that I may be transported to nearest hospital. One comment from one of the employees was along the lines of I'm going to need stitches it looks bad.... they offered me some water and were ready to send me on my way not realizing I was in shock. I told them they should prob make out an incident report and let the manager or owner know because I'm sure they would want to see this atrocity first hand. The manager was held up in a meeting and I was surprised he wouldn't take the time to communicate with someone who was so badly injured on his property. I have been in management for 15 years. Safety is always top priority and making sure the person injured knows you are there and you care always takes top priority. I was being treated as if they see this all the time and it's no big deal. I had someone pick me up and rush me off to nearest urgent care and as I was leaving one of the employees said that the manager said he would take care of the medical expenses. I figured despite his callousness of not leaving a meeting for a moment to contact me or see me, at least he would handle the bill. So, I went to urgent care and when I tried reaching out for payment, he was not available again. Still in a meeting. Customer service relayed messages between us. Eventually I was told I would have to foot the bill and hope for reimbursement. A while later the manager reached out, said he submitted the incident report and I would have to wait and hear from their insurance company. Our rental truck was not in system as being rented, he accepted truck and explained someone did not complete process for rental and we would receive email shortly. Was sent to this location after spending A good amount of time at another location. The representative at the first location not only took the time to go check the numbers on the trailer I was trying to rent and verify that it was available but then was also having issues trying to book it simply because the main call-center essentially hijacked the item as I'm trying to book it while at the physical location. The representative that was helping me called in to the main call center and was quickly interrupted to be instructed to hang up and text them what it is that they needed. The representative then instructed me that I would have to wait for a phone call from the call center to them be able to proceed to help me. All of which I'm growing very frustrated with the system and how impersonal it's really become. If somebody calls you there's no need for you to tell them to hang up and text you what you want. I was lied to and charged $900 EXTRA dollars. They told me they were sending someone to make a new key for me and called every hour to postpone another hour about 5 times then finally called me and told me they weren't gonna be able to make it till the next day then the came and picked up the truck with alll my stuff in it afterr lying to me and charged me for abandoning it and the tow fees on top of a bunch of other extra fees due to this situation. I started with a sweet girl who was newer. She was helping me then a young man came in deciding she needed help. He was so rude to her. Made me feel uncomfortable. When I asked him a question he gave me the biggest EYE ROLL! I went nuts on him. I don’t allow my grandkids tho treat me like that I wasn’t going to let him. Gate cards still don’t work. Alarms going and won’t turn off. I’ve been in the office 7 time to correct stuff. It was a horrible . experience. Still not sure what I was charged. I need to contact my card company. I would absolutely recommend the U-Haul Moving & Storage Of Temecula on Jefferson Avenue and I only wish I could give it more than 5 stars. When we moved to this area, our household goods were coming in from overseas and I knew we would be requiring more space. I began checking out self storage companies and looked at several including a big fancy looking facility close to our apartment. Although it was nice and pretty clean, after I visited the U-Haul in Temecula there was just no comparison for me. The manager, Art Guerra III runs this facility with great organization, impeccable cleanliness and excellent customer service. You may think I’m exaggerating or a relative but I am neither. There is a very sweet woman that works there who keeps everything down to the unit doors sparkling. Honestly, you could eat off the floors, It amazes me EVERY time I go there. There are 2 HUGE truck sized garage doors for unloading and picking up which makes it very convenient and comfortable should the weather be hot or raining. Inside they have large moving carts and dollies available for your convenience. They also have EVERYTHING you would require for packing and moving including of course the U-Haul trucks. If you are moving to Temecula or the surrounding area and want to store your belongings someplace with the confidence that they will stay clean, safe, secure and have customer service you feel good about, this is THE place to go.Judy B. | First Impressions

The facility lacked a gate at the entrance areas to better secure the facility. Due to the automatic sliding doors of facility, one can access the storage area without needing to log in so homeless people easily entered the storage area to use the bathroom. There should be better secure access to the storage facility with a code to the bathroom as homeless people were using the bathroom for all purposes. I didn’t feel secure when going to my storage unit and often couldn’t use the bathroom due to the it being unclean. Also, auto payment emails should include attached receipts. This was a business related storage unit and had to call every month to have a receipt attachment emailed to me to submit for company relates expenses. Instead of friend greeting on duty person stated there were no available units even though I had a reservation, 2 days prior I received a call asking for confirmation, day before I had confirmed again when renting a van. My one concern is the flow of questionable people coming in & out of the facility. This sounds judgmental, but it appeared to me that were using your facility to some suspicious activity. They had no vehicle outside, but were coming and going multiple times in the short times I was there recently emptying out my unit. At one point they had a "lookout" person hanging out near the door while they other two were in the facility. My father in law felt suspicious of them as well. I went in a few days ago and setup a hold for a storage unit and when I went back to get it it had disappeared from the computer and they rented it. I had to get a bigger unit that I did not want and did not get a discount for their mistake. In my book that is not a good way to treat your customers. Make sure to place SAFETY at the top of your list & show that you care more about your customers! The U-haul staff needs to make sure to lock their sliding door after working hours. It has been left open 24/7. That is risky & unsafe because there are a lot of people that get high on drugs that live up the street at, Extended Stay & who rent units at U-haul of Temecula. U-haul staff needs to make sure & check out their alarms if they are going off & needs to check if their cameras are working. I recommend that they get rid of the donation pile because it makes the place look like crap & it is another way for lazy customers just to dump their trash. Upon walking by the trashy donation are, I saw more that 50/ porn videos scattered & even a personal check book that was left there. I wonder if anyone wrote fake checks out to themselves & got paid? People that leave porno material also leave it soiled with bodily fluids like semen or saliva. This means that the donation pile area is contaminated & it is not meeting (COVID-19/Corona Virus) regulations. There is also a lot of junk/trash left outside by the dumpsters. It makes the place look bad. You need to get rid of the donation pile that is essentially mostly TRASH that is left behind by customers. Also please clean up the dumpsters in the back so that it does not attract the drug users that loiter in your property. ( I was harassed by 2 & that is why I moved out (08/22/20). I am sure that drug addicts may find things that they can sale for a quick drug fix. Please make this U-haul location safe & clean by making some changes. This facility was so much better than I expected it to be! We moved in on a day where the temperature was over 100 and expected it to be a miserable experience. Instead we were able to back our U-Haul truck under one of their carports, use their many pull carts, which was great because we had a lot of boxes! And there were automatic doors that were motion sensored as we had to go in and out several times. And finally the whole facility was climate controlled so it was so much cooler than we expected! There was a nice bathroom facility and the whole place was so clean! The manager was super busy, yet he still took the time to show me how to unlock everything and use the automatic alarm and entrance.
