We picked up on a Sunday morning and Zach (I think that was his name) was extremely helpful. He took his time to make sure we were set with our trailer, helped us connect it and answered any questions we had, despite the fact that he was the ONLY one working with an extremely long line. This was my S3COND location, as my rented vehicle was not there. This office refused to deliver, so I had to add on another 50 miles to my mileage count for a round trip, AS WELL AS ADDITIONAL LYFT COSTS for travelling to and from this location. You need to let the customer know what pictures they will need to take in order to complete a UHaul/Share finalization of the bill. I did not know I would have to upload pictures of the odometer and fuel; and the driver's side and cabin, and the location shot. I don't know how well vehicles are maintained or who is responsible for that. The sound I was getting from the front wheels sounded like the wheel bearings were bad. Had I been on a longer trip, this would have been concerning, but I was very local and didn't need to worry. The location is way understaffed. There was only one employee working - he had a line waiting - People returning and picking up units. Instead of friend greeting on duty person stated there were no available units even though I had a reservation, 2 days prior I received a call asking for confirmation, day before I had confirmed again when renting a van. After check he provide d paperwork and access card a stated he would meet me at the unit. I went to untit saw a tag indicating Not clean Do Not Rent. I returned to desk where employee was helping another customer. I accepted the marked unit after the desk person pointed out he would not have any cleaning staff till after the holiday. The truck we rented was simply gross. The associate put the key in and started it and scurried off before I could comment on the smell. I had to drive with the windows down to make it bearable. It stunk like smoke and just dirty. The floor mat on the passenger side was sticky. The center console pull down was also visibly sticky and very dirty. Crumbs and dirt and whatever the heck the sticky substance was. There was a used coffee collar stuck in the cup holder. Even when not in a pandemic I'd expect it to be cleaner than that, but especially during a pandemic why are these vehicles not being cleaned?JOEY K.

There should be a tongue jack on the enclosed trailers as it made it very hard to disconnect snd reconnect when needed. The equipment was old and well used so should have looked better but worked fine except for no tongue jackKATHRYN U.
I was most unhappy though about reserving a storage unit, filling up my haul only to then arrive and have the unit unavailable after confirming that it was available online. This is discussing and I wasted all that time on renting the equipment, filling up the trailer, taking it back only to have to return it home, unload it and then return the trailer before my "return" hour!! Absolutely rediculous - I should at least have got a refund on my rental equipment!!Bradley P.

Pricing is a bit much. I used a truck for 2 hours and drove 40 miles and it was over $70. Seems a little over priced. You need a by the hour option with unlimited mileage.Andrew W.

There was a used q-tip in the drivers door little niche by the window.... the uhaul wasn't ready when I got there at 10:30 I scheduled it for a 10am pick up. If I wouldn't have asked if the furniture dolly was in the back I would have left without it and been out of luck. The poor employee at the front was trying to do too much on his own. Uhaul locations never seem to have enough people working at a time. So the pick up wasn't as convenient as it should have been for the mobile pick up process I had selected to do.. the mobile drop off after hours was very easy.Danielle M.

The process was fast, I just hate that I have to pay $8 for insurance for something that I used for a couple hours. The scare tactic of the uhaul sales person saying that " if there is any damage you are required to pay the full amount of the trailer upon return" made me feel like she would find damage no matter what if I didn't pay the $8 fee. The trailer had damage, it's an old trailer... but there was no walk around, no damage report etc.If I hadn't paid the fee then there is 100% chance they could have found damage and charged me. Not a fan of the process or the site and will be looking at other providers from this point on.TREVOR A.

You need more staff. When I was there on Friday morning , April 23, 2021 to pick up my truck there was only one staff member on duty. There were several customers in line, he was swamped. The customer at the counter clearly had not reserved a truck and several questions which caused the line to grow. My one concern is the flow of questionable people coming in & out of the facility. This sounds judgmental, but it appeared to me that were using your facility to some suspicious activity. They had no vehicle outside, but were coming and going multiple times in the short times I was there recently emptying out my unit. At one point they had a "lookout" person hanging out near the door while they other two were in the facility. My father in law felt suspicious of them as well. I went in a few days ago and setup a hold for a storage unit and when I went back to get it it had disappeared from the computer and they rented it. I had to get a bigger unit that I did not want and did not get a discount for their mistake. In my book that is not a good way to treat your customers. Make sure to place SAFETY at the top of your list & show that you care more about your customers! The U-haul staff needs to make sure to lock their sliding door after working hours. It has been left open 24/7. That is risky & unsafe because there are a lot of people that get high on drugs that live up the street at, Extended Stay & who rent units at U-haul of Temecula. U-haul staff needs to make sure & check out their alarms if they are going off & needs to check if their cameras are working. I recommend that they get rid of the donation pile because it makes the place look like crap & it is another way for lazy customers just to dump their trash. Upon walking by the trashy donation are, I saw more that 50/ porn videos scattered & even a personal check book that was left there. I wonder if anyone wrote fake checks out to themselves & got paid? People that leave porno material also leave it soiled with bodily fluids like semen or saliva. This means that the donation pile area is contaminated & it is not meeting (COVID-19/Corona Virus) regulations. There is also a lot of junk/trash left outside by the dumpsters. It makes the place look bad. You need to get rid of the donation pile that is essentially mostly TRASH that is left behind by customers. Also please clean up the dumpsters in the back so that it does not attract the drug users that loiter in your property. ( I was harassed by 2 & that is why I moved out (08/22/20). I am sure that drug addicts may find things that they can sale for a quick drug fix. Please make this U-haul location safe & clean by making some changes. This facility was so much better than I expected it to be! We moved in on a day where the temperature was over 100 and expected it to be a miserable experience. Instead we were able to back our U-Haul truck under one of their carports, use their many pull carts, which was great because we had a lot of boxes! And there were automatic doors that were motion sensored as we had to go in and out several times. And finally the whole facility was climate controlled so it was so much cooler than we expected! There was a nice bathroom facility and the whole place was so clean! The manager was super busy, yet he still took the time to show me how to unlock everything and use the automatic alarm and entrance.
