Just for UHAUL in general: Your prices online are misleading. You don't include taxes in the quote, that added $75 to the price of the rental. The truck came with less than 1/8 of a tank of fuel, within on ten minutes I had to stop and get fuel, that is unsat. UHAUL should have a policy to give only trucks with full tanks. I was told that if I returned it with more fuel I would revive a credit, that was not true. I asked what the MPG was on the truck and the rep couldn't tell me, that adds another stressor to the people moving, not knowing how far you can go. It should be easy to have an estimated miles per tank on the website and on a sticker in the truck. The truck was obviously newer with only 50k miles on it, but UHAUL disabled or purchased a model that doesn't show the mile range on the display. Every thing else was to expectation.Jason H.

Everything was fine overall, though a bit pricey compared to other spots I’ve used nearby, this place was always clean, easy to use, and convenient. I’m taking off two stars because of the fact that I paid rent every month on the first and moved out of my storage the 6th and I get NO money back? The owner was very rude. I initially rented a 20 ft truck however the system showed it as not being available, when I arrived I seen keys for a 20 ft so I inquired about it, he explained it needed to be turned in to the same location I told him it was not a problem, after I told him that he was like well I want it back tonight, I told him that was fine I can return it after hours. Then he was like no I want it back before I leave it felt like he was just looking for reasons so I could not use it. After he processed my order he told me I not had 51 miles I explained to him that I lived in Winchester 20 miles out and had from my old home to my new home it was over 50 miles and from my home to the turn in location it was a about 10 miles. He told me it's nothing he can and just pay the difference. When I got in the truck the fuel levels, mileage and liecense plate was wrong. I tried to upload a new photo but the app said I needed to speak with someone. The owner was helping someone else so I went to a different line I explained the issue to the sales rep Josue as I was explain what happened the owner keep stopping from assisting his customer to tell me to use the app and take a photo. And tell me it's nothing he can do. As Josie continued to help me and relieved they ga r me the wrong truck he told me he would print off a new contract I let Josue know I called customer service about the mileage issue and that I was granted extra miles and asked if he could update the contact. Josue said yes and the owner keep saying we don't do that here. I told the owner he had bad customer services and he should stop talking so much and listen to his customers. He proceed to tell me he has great customer service and he is the owner so it pretty much is what it is. Josue was extremely helpfully. The owner on the other hand will probably cause u-haul to loose customers.Latoya W.

Two Remarks on my U-Haul Experience. 1. On the reservation. I placed a reservation at the Murrieta local, I was told that U-Haul could not reserve local trailer rentals any more only long distance rental (for which is more money for you guys), local was first come first served, But that they would submit the reservation, with no insurance that it would be reserved. I and a small business, that has been using U-haul for many years now. When asked if I should make a plan b on finding another place to rent a 5 x 8 trailer, a smart-ass remark from several of the workers there was "Yes you need to!!!" this is unsatisfactory to the small Businesses. 2. Pick-up went good, but was at a different location, the return, started out great, but then went south. I rented the 5 x 8 trailer for 2 days. Picked up tailer on the 27th of August at 3:32pm - returned tailer on 29th of Aug at 11:00am. at 4:44 I get a Message asking when was I going to return the tailer? I call the Jefferson Ave U-Haul where the tailer was picked up/turned at, and spoke to a lady where I stated that the trailer was returned at 11:00am at their location. But when I received the receipt it said that it was returned at 4:46pm and was charged for 3 day rental. Now I've been on the phone for over an hour being sent/pasted from one customer servant rep to another with a 16min wait to 40 min wait for each rep to pick-up the phone, with no results in sight. Tried to call the Jefferson Ave U-Haul people calls just get sent to U-Haul many Customer Sevants rep.KEITH J.

I appreciate Zack and the Temecula location. However, corporate policy and call center involvement is clearly not communicating with the local stores and the disconnect has caused unnecessary stress and hardship for me. I was offered one free month of rent for my truck rental from the call center. I qualified for a 10x10 rental unit based on my rental truck size. The calk center said there was only a 10x5 and I accepted it. I also requested an additional 10x5, which was available. When I arrived at the location, I planned to empty my itmes into the two 10x5 storage units. Zack said there is a problem, they had zero units available. It appears someone did online self storage and took the units. Zack also said that corporate has discontinued free one month storage at the Temecula location and that's why the store does not have any signs promoting it. Zack called his manager and found one 10x5 unit for me, which I could pay for. However, there was some kind of problem and he could not complete my rental paperwork on the computer. Eventually, the manager who was offsite was able to troubleshoot the problem. At that point, I decided I needed to find a unit larger than 10x5, as the contents of the 15 foot rental truck was obviously not going to fit in the 10x5 unit. I truly felt after this experience that corporate Uhaul did not care about me as a customer and that the local employees were trying their best to provide customer service, but were limited in their ability to resolve problems.Alice A.

Just came by this evening to rent a uhaul for a little bit of moving. The young lady that helped me out with the contract was very nice and before I paid I let her know I have a baby and needed to get her home and I would come back to pick up the truck, because car seats aren't allowed in a uhaul. Zack was the one who pulled up the truck for me and as he was bringing me the key, I let him know I have a baby and couldn't drive the truck right away but would come back within 30 minutes to pick it up. He stated that wasn't not acceptable and the truck once rented out could not be left on their property. I let him know that wasn't discussed before I paid or I would've come back and rented later. I let him know there was no way for me to move the truck off the property because I have an 18mo baby in the car. He said there wasn't anything he could do. If the uhaul was left on property it could be towed and the charges would be up to me. I asked to cancel my reservation and he said he couldn't do it and reverse the charge but would be happy return the truck in the system. I asked him what I should do and he said â€œthat is for you to figure outâ€ and put the key in the cab and walked back inside the facility.DAKOTA N.
Every employee I came in contact with on the phone or in person was great But as far as the operation it was confusing I was getting conflicting information from different employees sending me to the wrong location to pickup the vehicle then getting different answers for where to drop it off and then they said the truck was expected back more then a week from when it was supposed to but I will still continue to use Uhaul in the future.EVERETT G.

We picked up on a Sunday morning and Zach (I think that was his name) was extremely helpful. He took his time to make sure we were set with our trailer, helped us connect it and answered any questions we had, despite the fact that he was the ONLY one working with an extremely long line. This was my S3COND location, as my rented vehicle was not there. This office refused to deliver, so I had to add on another 50 miles to my mileage count for a round trip, AS WELL AS ADDITIONAL LYFT COSTS for travelling to and from this location. You need to let the customer know what pictures they will need to take in order to complete a UHaul/Share finalization of the bill. I did not know I would have to upload pictures of the odometer and fuel; and the driver's side and cabin, and the location shot. Instead of friend greeting on duty person stated there were no available units even though I had a reservation, 2 days prior I received a call asking for confirmation, day before I had confirmed again when renting a van. After check he provide d paperwork and access card a stated he would meet me at the unit. I went to untit saw a tag indicating Not clean Do Not Rent. I returned to desk where employee was helping another customer. I accepted the marked unit after the desk person pointed out he would not have any cleaning staff till after the holiday. My one concern is the flow of questionable people coming in & out of the facility. This sounds judgmental, but it appeared to me that were using your facility to some suspicious activity. They had no vehicle outside, but were coming and going multiple times in the short times I was there recently emptying out my unit. At one point they had a "lookout" person hanging out near the door while they other two were in the facility. My father in law felt suspicious of them as well. The staff, in particular Mr.Keith Lenz, Robert Walsh have been so courteous and kind and understanding my being stranded in Canada and why and I appreciate they are men with empathy realizing how important are ones personal possessions and not to lose them. I went in a few days ago and setup a hold for a storage unit and when I went back to get it it had disappeared from the computer and they rented it. I had to get a bigger unit that I did not want and did not get a discount for their mistake. In my book that is not a good way to treat your customers. This facility was so much better than I expected it to be! We moved in on a day where the temperature was over 100 and expected it to be a miserable experience. Instead we were able to back our U-Haul truck under one of their carports, use their many pull carts, which was great because we had a lot of boxes! And there were automatic doors that were motion sensored as we had to go in and out several times. And finally the whole facility was climate controlled so it was so much cooler than we expected! There was a nice bathroom facility and the whole place was so clean! The manager was super busy, yet he still took the time to show me how to unlock everything and use the automatic alarm and entrance.
