The staff were excellent and the truck was perfect - clean and in excellent condition.
Andrew SThey were incredibly helpful at check-in. The girl had my truck already to go with my furniture pads. However, the truck had issues. Went to use the cupholder and when I opened it, it fell onto the floor. Truck ran horrible. Check engine light was on. Engine sounded super stressed, even with truck empty. I used cruise control one time. When I tried to disengage cruise to slow down, the truck actually sped up. Luckily I was able to stop at the traffic light in time. But took over 30 seconds for the engine to stop making a revving sound. At one point it was driving super bumpy like a ride at a carnival. There was heavy rain when I was returning the truck. Picked up a furniture pad and it was soaking wet. Looked up and saw tape on the ceiling. Tape. Luckily my belongings were not in the truck or a lot of things would have been wet, possibly ruined. When I returned the truck, I let the acting lead on duty know of the issues. He kept shaking his head and saying yes, like he knew all of these things the entire time. It did not make me feel confident knowing they may have known of all these issues and still let me rent this truck. What if something had happened at Midnight when I was driving, and the truck broke down? Also let him know I did not stop for gas. He got an attitude and told me there was an additional fee. Of course, I knew that which is why I was telling him I did not fuel the truck. Then he pushed the key back at me and said it was after 7 and they were closed so I would have do Self check in now. I looked at my watch and it was 7:01. The only reason it was after 7 was because I had just spent five minutes telling him everything wrong with the truck. I pushed the key back and told him they could check in the truck. He said he would make sure he told the manager of the issues. I asked him to please have the manager April call me. I am waiting to see if he will relay the message. I have done business with this location many times and always been happy. However, this employee’s attitude and reaction has made me question if they take the safety of their customers as a top concern.

DIMAS MExtremely helpful in getting the trailer connected and the tailights working. Even replaced a blown fuse in my car to make sure it worked.
Wayne HSavanna (delivery person) was excellent. She delivered and picked up the U-Boxes in a timely manner. She was kind and courteous and placed the boxes where I needed them to be placed so we could un-load them. The only issue was the delivery charge. I was led to believe it was a 100.00 delivery charge for both at the pick up and 100.00 for drop off. Instead, I was charged 100.00 for pick-up in Kansas and 404.00 for drop off in Florida.

Kevin CThe 4X8 trailer leaked badly in front. previous attempts at repair were evident. Had a pretty substantial rain and lots of water entered from corner of roof. Luckily the rain stopped during the pull. I had about 10 full size bath towels to try to catch the water. The worst was the bottoms of boxes got wet. not too much damage but very inconvenient as those boxes had to be opened and emptied into other containers/boxes while in the trailer. could not pick them up. I informed person on destination drop off by phone of the problem. I hope it gets fixed. I bought insurance but maid no claim. Next person to use trailer wont be as nice as me!! they will be very angry! I plan to rent trailer again soon. I think at a minimum U-Haul should provide insurance at no cost to me. trailer pulled nicely and worked well otherwise.

SHARI SDisappointed that I reserved two furniture movers, which "forced" me to the large store from the much closer franchise-type store in Santa Rosa Beach. I arrived on schedule and was told that they only had one mover available. Trailer was ready. Employees were friendly. Furniture mover request apparently did not matter!

Dick L | First ImpressionsI rented the use of a 20 ft. truck, which was available and ready to go at the scheduled date and time. The agent that checked us out was professional and efficient. I was impressed with the procedures and attention to detail. One item that might be an improvement would be a written check list showing recent service such as oil fill and lighting checks. Only issue of mild concern was excessive brake dust on left rear wheel. The trip was completed and truck was turned in without any problem. I highly recommend this pickup location.

Thomas WWas very pleased w/the service/help when i needed the equipment in fort Walton paid $15 for 5 days & purchased the insurance of course 😊ended up catching something & I barely ever get sick but after that long trip/move I def overworked myself took sone medicine& ended up sleeping for 2days even on my bday the 12th 😫then returned it in Ohio on mahoning ave & got charged $60 for 2 days how does that work/happen??!!!! You just sat there. I put no miles on it. That’s crazy 5days I definitely won’t be using that equipment again that’s what i pay for a truck when Ive used one if I would of know I was gonna get charged so damn much I would’ve just returned the equipment and gave everybody my germs instead of being considerate of others, and staying away until I was not contagious. Noted for next time.👍🏻 If there’s even a next time! #rantoftheday

Jon COur rental reservation was made almost 3 1/2 weeks in advance. We requested a 15 ft truck, hand dolly and moving pads. We called the day before the rental pick up date to confirm that our truck would be available as we would be arriving by cab directly from the airport. We were informed that our desired pick-up location in fact did not have our rental at their facility. Instead, we were referred to another location further away from our desired pick up location. When we eventually did pick up our rental truck, we were informed that there was no hand dolly as we had requested. My dissatisfaction wasn't going to end there. When asked for my drivers license I was asked to open my phone, open txt message Uhaul just sent and photo copy the front and scan the back to their app while the attendant went off and did something else. On my second attempt, I was successful in doing something that used to be done by the rental assistant in a fraction of the time. It was becoming clear to me that the customer (me) wasn't quite as valued as we used to be. The rental attendant then told me the truck was "out front" and pointed in the direction I should start to look. I was told that I could pick up the furniture pads on my way out as I guess now it's too much to ask to have them placed inside the truck as a small gesture of kindness. With what now has become a clear message of disrespect, I receive another txt from Uhaul asking me to confirm that the vehicle I'm about to drive off their lot is in fact my rental, they provide me with the license plate that I'm to confirm. Since I assumed that was the gest of their concern and did not open the txt, I got out of the truck, confirmed it was in fact the correct vehicle. Because the truck had less than 1/8 of tank, my first concern was to find a gas station and fill up. My next concern was to stop and eat as we (my two brothers and I) had been traveling since 4:30 AM and were hungry and it was almost 1:00 PM. After lunch I remembered that I had not opened the txt sent by Uhaul so I did. What I found was yet another example of how little you respect your customer's time. I was directed to inspect and confirm the vehicle's damages (if any), photograph any said damages and send to link provided in the txt. When I was about to comply with your request, I was informed that the link "had expired". Now I'm feeling a little nervous and defensive. So I looked the vehicle over and found the usual scrapes and scratches noting only a star chip on the windshield. I called customer service # and informed the rep Cathy and she assured me that she did document my concern .With regards to the "No" on the clean and well maintained question, I found that the vehicle has a noticeable pull to the left and the steering wheel off center which with my experience indicates an alignment issue. As far as the no on recommending this location to a friend, whether this type of treatment of customers is a Uhaul corporate issue or an independent business practice I would not be likely to recommend to anyone. Finally, this "fuel adjustment" scam Uhaul has decided to implement. This insult maybe the one thing that will keep me from ever renting from Uhaul again. It's and insult to your customer's intelligence. You ask me to bring back with more gas than you gave it to me. If I do that your going to "credit" me $12.25 "fuel adjustment". By Uhaul's own estimate, to bring an 1/8 of a tank to 1/4 tank would be approximately 5.5 gallons (in reality closer to 6-6.5 gallons). With gas over $3.00 per gallon, you're asking me to spend $16.50 (likely more) or be charged for your "fuel adjustment" of $12.50. How would that make you feel ?

NATHAN HSuper helpful and friendly employees. They helped me avoid a late charge given that it took me a while to unload my trailer contents into the storage unit. I can’t recommend this location enough. Turn in of the trailer was quick and easy as well!
Cooper LIf you have no other choice for drop off yes. But would suggest elsewhere for they tell you to just leave it and you have to call to make sure they actually checked the equipment in.
Kristin PVery confusing we only needed the veh for a few hours my wife put credit card on file to hold vehicle. When I arrived to recieve the veh was told that if I used the night drop I would be charged for a full day instead of just the few hour charge. Which made no sense at all and when i asked the lady behind the desk about it and the specifics she could not answer me. I felt that a night drop served a purpose when i left i felt ripped ripped off and upset. Also before i took the vehicle they asked me to swipe my bank card and ran it for over 100 dollars.lets not forget that my wifes credit card was already on file for holding fee.( I also took my lunch break to pick the veh up and was upset it took almost my entire break to get everything figured out.) Then when I did the night drop the app was very hard to navigate i had to call their 24/7 holiness that led me to a voice-mail and I never recieved a call back I was at the store for approximately 30 mins just trying to find out how to return the vehicle using the app.. then when I finally got it figured out the app asked for yet again another card to run a payment through that is 3 times uhaul would have processed a card or payment information from me within a 24 hr period. I skipped that part and made appropriate notations as to why. A week later uhaul still had not taken out the final payment. The original credit card holding fee had been refunded yet In fear of my bank account being robbed I called and spoke with the owner who said because I didn't enter my card info when I used the app to return the veh that it put my veh in like a hold state. We eventually got it figured out. Honor the night drop if veh is only being used for a few hrs.. don't charge full day. And also don't take 3 different payments. Our technology in this day and age there's no reason to take 3 different payments... soooo confusing and frustrating I regretted using uhaul. And I don't think it was the location I think it's the company as a whole.. I've never had this issue with budget but they just didn't have any trucks avail this particular day.

Richard MDon't like the billing process at all! Why can I just pay one time instead of incremental billing with codes that won't explain what you are actually billed for. Also, have to log in and see all separate receipts, etc.

Also it wouldn't be a bad idea if u-haul got into the hoetel business or was able to rent out apartments to poor people or people in need who are not on drugs. Barbara V | First ImpressionsThe young lady was short when I came to return keys i understand it was a little busy but when I returned the van I rented she told me to return it outside to the attendees outside I drove up and no one ever came over sat there for 15- 20 minutes while they never stopped washing trucks to come over and instruct me so I get out only to be told then I can leave keys in van then as I’m pulling off the same young lady in office comes out of office and goes straight to the van. Bad Customer service no reason for me to sit there using gas that long running the air.

Just seem like you wanted way too much information just to rent a storage unit...

The rental units floor is probably 10" higher than the parking lot, all in one single transition, making loading and unloading a bit more work. Other than that they were very clean, dry inside (it was pouring rain when I was there), inside a secured fence perimeter and had exceptional security camera coverage of entire facility. I have been involved in security of government facilities for most of my career, and the perimeter fencing and camera coverage present at this facility is as good as most government installations. Those types of deterrents typically force thieves to look for easier targets. I feel my belongings are safely stored here. Would recommend.

This incompetence was the second time paperwork had to be filed, as the first one was completely deleted! Showing up with a rented uhaul full of personal belongings with no record of a paid unit, was frustrating. We started the process again with the printed paperwork having multiple misspellings of names and email addresses. Training in customer service, attention to detail and verifying information is desperately needed.

When I notified the office and check on it multiple times no one called me for OVER 2 weeks. The last call I made they said they gave the message to the manager. I decided to go up there and when I spoke with a female rep she stated there's no way bugs could get it. That was clearly not the case because upon inspection of my unit after the conversation there were many holes (openings) from both units on each side of me. I was highly upset because I had to throw away some of my children's belongings because of this issue. And again no one has reached out to me regarding this issue and it's been over 3 months. Another issue is my card stopped working multiple times which was an inconvenience of me having to walk from the gate to the office to get another card.

Unfortunately, the experience turned distressing when we went to drop off our items to the outside storage shed and the storage shed was locked with a Uhaul lock although we purchased a lock. We were informed by the facility staff a week before and again on Saturday that we could rent the moving trailer and the outside storage unit. We informed that we would be dropping off the same time that we rented, which was 6:45 p.m. However, when we arrived at about 5 p.m. no one was at the facility, which was fine but the storage unit was locked. We count not unload our items. There was not an emergency number for us to reach anyone after hours. We received an answering service with a friendly person named Lindsay. The issue was shared with Lindsay. She was incredibly understanding and helpful. Tomorrow, I will have to go to the store when they open up at 7 a.m. before my work day begins and hope that someone will be there to help me unload the trailer given the storage is for my 80 y/o mom's things. The rating would be an excellent had it not been for the storage shed being locked when we were told that we could drop off our items after 5 p.m. on Sunday and that we were not able to contact anyone after hours for emergency assistance. I would like an opportunity to submit a higher rating and review when this issue is successfully addressed. For now, our items are sitting in the Uhaul mobile storage truck in front of the exterior storage unit that we rented. Sigh ...

First of all, we signed up to do mobile pickup of our U-Haul. This was supposed to be the faster, no-contact way for pick up, but my Husband still had to go inside to get the keys and it took longer than it needed to. Apparently they were supposed to put the keys in a lock box outside and they just didn’t. Oh and when I say “They” I mean one man working at one small desk with one computer (in a giant room that could fit many other desk) trying to help everyone who is renting, returning, etc. On top of this only one of the loading door docks were opening while we were there so there was a line of people trying to load and unload there stuff and the parking lot is a disaster to navigate and feels like it’s just a bunch of storage units thrown in the Kmart parking lot (because it is). When we went to get our stuff out of our unit we rented a truck from another location because we didn’t want to support this location anymore. Hopefully they get better.

You need more employees and help at this location! Ridiculous! The manager there is very rude as well. Daniel is slow, but did have a good attitude.

When we moved in, they put us towards the back of the building (told us we could use the back doors to move in and out of) and three weeks later when we went to move out the back doors were locked and blocked, and the only way to move everything out was through the front, although we were told by Uhaul workers that we were "not allowed" to use the truck bays to load our vehicle, or use the large doors. We were told to use the "entrance" doors, that do NOT function correctly and were locked most of the time. IS THIS WHAT YOU CALL USER FRIENDLY?! I will make sure I explain to EVERY military family in the area where NOT to store their things while in transition. Uhaul made our moving experience even MORE difficult than it already was, if that was even possible. I would give zero stars if I could. On top of all of this, the staff at this location was less than helpful (except for Pat).
