Staff was very friendly and helpful. Truck I rented on the other hand was in bad condition. Drivers side door was visibly damaged. Full extent was not known until it started raining in the middle of my move. Water dumped through the top and completely soaked my left side and then the seat, which in turn left me driving with drenched clothes.Joel G.
Staff seemed unaware of what was going on. I did mobile pick up but keys were not in correct location when I arrived. Took 30 plus minutes for staff to realize keys were hanging up at desk. I ordered appliance cart with strap and ask staff to ensure it was on truck, only to be given a utility cart although I paid for appliance cart. Returned truck later that evening, put keys in lock box as instructed, only to receive 7 missed calls in the morning as they claimed I did not leave keys on premises, but did not check box. We sat in the unloading area for over 20 minutes waiting for someone to come check us in like the sign says. Then we went in and someone stated they were on their way out. Tell the customer that their reservation was moved to a new location. Tell them you â€œupgradedâ€ them to a 20 ft truck they don't need or want and would have cancelled the reservation if they knew this in advance. I did not want to take the truck, but since I didn't have prior notice, I didn't have a choice. They also refused to give us directions for getting our car on the dolly, they didn't even mention I could have paid more to have it done even though they clearly knew I didn't feel comfortable hooking it up to the truck w an extra 5 feet I didn't need. The lady who called me Monday was dismissive. She huffed several times on the call and put the blame on me. Since it's apparently â€œin the contractâ€ that they can make these changes, it was my fault I didn't call daily to make sure my RESERVATION was being honored and uhaul was under no obligation to inform me. I will NOT be using uhaul in the future. Worst customer service ever. I had to stop a guy on a bike riding in the parking lot to get help getting my car secured. That is ridiculous and your 2 employees stood there and watched me call him over and ask for help. I thought uhaul was better than all this, but apparently not and placing the blame on me was too much to look past. Also, if I was in the wrong, why did they give me a very tiny refund of $25 for my â€œinconvenienceâ€? The people at the main 800 customer service number were great.JAMI W.

Truck was clean, however, the tire lights were on abs it was saying it needed servicing when we picked it up after hours. Getting customer service to help took 45 mins after waiting on the phone w 2 different customer service reps at the same time. Service was terrible at this location from start to finish. They dropped the ball on putting our order in and we had to go online, which wasn't working either, so we had to have customer service help, which took 2+ hrs. Will never use this location again. In fact, the after hours process within the app, was so horrible we may never use Uhaul again. We've used them for 25 years. After hours went from being so easy, pre-app, to being something I never want to do again. The app was not working and we were up at night in the dark parking lot by ourselves scrambling trying to figure out what to do.Jen V.

The storage facility itself was so extremely hot inside...if you want to move and pack all of your furniture into a million degree facility a million steps with tiny carts this is your place. The 800 number is horrible customer service. Called and booked. Haul secured movers and took my credit card. Decided to add another container and they said I booked movers on my own they could not help me. So not true. The beach location did not offer delivery and Uhaul said had to secure movers. Not sure if you will ask for a review of where I picked up my things from my UBox in EUREKA, CA at the Uhaul Location on Jacobs St. No real problems, except I spoke with someone on Tuesday. Said I would be there between 9-10am Thursday to unload my box I arrived shortly after 9am. My box was not out of the warehouse for me to unload. A minor inconvenience, but that much notice, and they were not busy, it should have been outside first thing Thursday morning for me to unload as soon as I arrived. Again, it was a short wait, but isn't that why you ask us to call the pickup location to arrange for when we will be there to unload?JADE E.

I was one of the first to rent while construction was underway. However after construction onside was finished avoidable problems developed. Access to the loading dock was blocked. It was warm for a climate controlled units. It’s new and still under construction so I’m sure this will be worked out. April and Venessa were both very helpful and nice. April was very busy as it was Memorial Day weekend and she was busy, but still maintained a professional and kind attitude! The no is due to it being so warm in climate controlled units. Both times I went in the site was understaffed. Only one register and always a wait. I was called out about a problem with my unit and the person calling me was very rude. When I explained I was over 700 miles away and couldn’t just come down and put my lock on correctly finally someone offered to lock it correctly. After I moved out I continued to receive phone calls and emails that my belongings would be auctioned. Yes the facility is brand new and is nice and clean, but that does not make up for everything that went wrong during our experience. First of all, we signed up to do mobile pickup of our U-Haul. This was supposed to be the faster, no-contact way for pick up, but my Husband still had to go inside to get the keys and it took longer than it needed to. Apparently they were supposed to put the keys in a lock box outside and they just didn’t. Oh and when I say “They” I mean one man working at one small desk with one computer (in a giant room that could fit many other desk) trying to help everyone who is renting, returning, etc. On top of this only one of the loading door docks were opening while we were there so there was a line of people trying to load and unload there stuff and the parking lot is a disaster to navigate and feels like it’s just a bunch of storage units thrown in the Kmart parking lot (because it is). When we went to get our stuff out of our unit we rented a truck from another location because we didn’t want to support this location anymore. There is only one employee working this large building and lot. Spent most of my time in Lin waiting waiting and the computers a never work, they don’t take cash, no place to load and unload besides small doors in the back of an alley, no night hours to have access to your units. I dodn’t Set up auto pay, but one of the employees decided to added it in my second month without my permission. I will never use this location again. We are a military family that moved to the local area and used Uhaul at the old Kmart location to store our home contents while waiting on a rental home in the area. When we moved in, they put us towards the back of the building (told us we could use the back doors to move in and out of) and three weeks later when we went to move out the back doors were locked and blocked, and the only way to move everything out was through the front, although we were told by Uhaul workers that we were "not allowed" to use the truck bays to load our vehicle, or use the large doors. We were told to use the "entrance" doors, that do NOT function correctly and were locked most of the time. IS THIS WHAT YOU CALL USER FRIENDLY?! I will make sure I explain to EVERY military family in the area where NOT to store their things while in transition. Uhaul made our moving experience even MORE difficult than it already was, if that was even possible. I would give zero stars if I could.
