Chris told me that he had to loan me an older trailer. We realized that it had rivets missing. Chains were brushing the ground. He didn’t inform me of how to lift the truck gate. This caused me to have to rely on roadside assistance to come out and fix the gate. Delayed my departure by a day.

Calvin CMaybe clean and inspect a vehicle for mechanical issues before renting them to people, just for starters. Plus, none of the mirrors were adjustable. I had to move my body to use three of them. The fourth was too much out of adjustment to use. The staff told me to read the manual to figure out their use. The manual said there should be a controller. There wasn't. Tried to do it manually, but they wouldn't budge. I lost another hour on my trip looking for a gas station with an air pump because I thought I had a flat tire. The info screen showed the right-front tire at 62 psi while the other three were at 80 psi. When I finally found a station, I discovered on the driver's door that the front two tires were supposed to be at 65 psi and the rear were supposed to be at 80. So I was driving around with uneven tire pressure. In addition, I was issued a truck with filthy windshield and an inoperable right turn signal. I took it back for a different truck, only to find out it also had a turn signal issue, but only on its mirror. Its windshield was covered with squashed bugs, which don't wash well with solvent. Worrying about truck condition, exchanging trucks, fooling with tires, etc., probably cost me 3 hours time on my rental, which prevented me from returning the truck on the same day, and prevented me from attending church with my family the next morning. Why? I'm waiting for someone to show up at U-Haul some 45 minutes after it was scheduled to open; apparently someone locked the gate with the wrong lock and the employee who discovered that was allegedly 30 minutes late for work already! Never using this location again, and considering warning others on Google.

Thomasine MMy husband and I downsized and sold our house, but wasn’t ready to get rid of everything just yet. We stored with U-Haul and it was a wonderful experience. However, and not, but, on move out day, we discovered a leak in the gutter system, which drained into our unit and soaked the base of one of our boxes.Unfortunately the box was destroyed and being the base box, caused all the other stacked on top of it to tip over. Luckily, no material damage was done. Mike came out and inspected and made sure my property was OK. Just something I wanted to note that U-Haul should keep an eye on. Otherwise, pure bliss and I will certainly consider storing with U-Haul again.
LATEESHA P | Overall ExperienceI arrived at this location for a truck and trailer rental. I explained to the clerk that I didn’t know what type of trailer I needed to transport my golf cart. She informed me that I needed this auto transporter because my golf cart would fit. After going home to pick up my golf cart and loading on the trailer the cart did not fit properly and the cart look like it would fall thru the hole in the middle. So I called back to tell the clerk it didn’t work. Upon returning the trailer I was told by another clerk what trailer I actually needed. She then reserved a trailer at your forrestville Andrew’s location. I drove to that location just to find out that they did have the trailer but it was broken a the lady at Penn Randall could see it on the computer. The lady at this location was very helpful. She then told me that I needed a toy hauler but she didn’t have one but central abenue location did. So I drove directly to central avenue and Sheldon was very professional and helped me. The problem I have is I had to pay unnecessary mileage and had to rent a trailer that the clerk should’ve had knowledge that you don’t tow a golf cart with that type of trailer. So I’m really upset because I was charged for a trailer that was a waste of time and I drove the U-Haul to all of the locations to get the proper trailer for towing a golf cart. I feel that it was the clerk fault for recommending the wrong cart thatt I wasted my money on that I couldn’t use. Plus the unnecessary mileage going to different U-Haul location. I’ve always rented with u haul and has never had any issues. I feel that his experience was a total rip off and I’m very upset about this situation. Please have someone to contact me. Thank you
Denise OOn Sunday May 31, I rented a Uhaul at this location. This was by far the worst experience ever. Your employee Justin was rude gave me the wrong truck and when was told the truck wouldn't start he told me then that was the wrong truck. Then informed me that the truck was at the back of the building and i would have to walk and get it with the dollie. He didn't assist me in anyway I had to ask for assistance from another employee. at that point it took me longer than expected and the truck had to be returned after the close of business.

I called Upper Marlboro and they found a truck for me and got me on the road. The lady at Upper Marlboro - Alicia, I think - provided EXCEPTIONAL customer service.

At least for spring/summer, hours modified for sun up to sun down.

He was able to handle several task while everything around him seemed chaotic. He is an amazing asset to the UHAUL organization and I again want to recognize him for his patience, professionalism and just his kindness make my move so much better and not let me also mention how KNOWLEDEABLE he is. again GREAT asset and I do hope that UHAUL will share this with the team at the Peen Randall place location. Called main uhaul they said they would reach out to local uhaul for some type of refund for having to put extra gas in just to get it back to a quarter tank. The manager called us after that and for the hassle got 7 dollars refunded. They charge 35.00 if you don’t return it rat the correct amount. Very unhappy.

They did ultimately have a unit, but I had to wait for around 20 minutes while they checked. They also told me that I could not use my debit card to make recurring auto payments and that I would need to call in to pay my unit rent.
