I believe I was robbed by uhaul manipulating my my return based on gas consumption. With no accurate way of determining gas usage I filled up the tank based on uhaul published gas mileage. I was very conservative in my estimate, filled the tank and was still charged an exorbitant penalty. (The gas station was next door to Uhaul). Viewed this as a learning experience, if you rent from Uhaul, plan on getting screwed.

U-haul is attempting to overcharge me $12.22 for $2.89 in NYS tolls. No explanation of their charges and no response from their collections team. Its a big red flag when a NYS toll is normally $.22 and they charged $5.10.

McKenzie, at the counter was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. She answered all of our questions, and helped us attach the trailer to our hitch without hesitation. She was professional, and made our experience more than satisfactory. The after-hours return was a nice addition to the process. The only thing I would submit to that was an issue I had connecting to the location. My “location sharing” was enabled on my phone, but the web page would not register that I was at the correct drop-off. If I was by myself this would have been a nightmare in the dark. Perhaps you should add a scan at the door instead of relying on the gps for location accuracy.

Location? Awful Check in/out um yeah not good First none of the trucks were cleaned off that's fine but IT WAS A DMAN BLIZZARD AND SHE DIDNT EVEN OFFER TO HELP! Then she expected me to put the truck back in it's spot?! That's not my job. Never again will I rent from this location. Everything about it was unpleasant and just no. I wouldn't recommend this East Rochester location to a funeral home. Disappointed.

Picked up 17 ft vehicle at 6:30 pm. Drove about 3 miles and parked in my driveway. Next morning at 9 am attempted to start. I was very careful not to leave any lights on. Vehicle would not start battery was dead.. contacted manager for assistance. Indicated I had hired 2 helpers and was on a tight time schedule. Asked for a replacement. Advice was call roadside assistance. Told they would arrive in 1 1/2. Very disappointed since I was no more than three miles from UHaul. It cost 2 hours to get a replacement battery that was dead when I picked up the truck. And I had to pay the 2 helpers an extra 1 1/2 because of the Equipment failure.

Please do not drivers rent a truck over 100k miles! What I rode in was a death trap! The location was great because it was right next to a gas station that I can fill up the tank before dropping it off.

This has been a terrible experience from start to finish. 1. On my previous pickup, mobile pickup was a failure because, I was told, I was too early, even though I was on time; so this time I showed up a little late. Mobile pickup was again a failure, and this time I was told I was too late! 2. Branch manager says he called me twice, but I have NO missed calls, and NO messages on my voicemail. 3. Branch manager was rude and condescending, didn't care that I didn't receive the calls. 4. Van was not cleaned when I picked it up. 5. Returned van in same condition, and was assessed a $10 cleaning fee despite the van not being clean to begin with. 6. After spending over $500 and returning early, and having spent several thousands a couple of years ago on a move, several hundred since then, and having another reservation for next week for another several hundred dollars: I do not appreciate being nickel and dimes by this company for a few more dollars on a bogus cleaning fee. That's not how you treat a good customer whom you appreciate. I am forced to conclude that I am not appreciated, and will start looking elsewhere for my future moving needs.

I liked how the staff here never gave me a hard time for anything. Some businesses apparently don't want people to enter their establishment, which never made sense to me. However, we are now living in a country where not much makes sense anymore.

Explain the dash board controls. I wasn't familiar with how the front headlights turned on or the different options available. Same with the wipers, cruse control or stereo console.

Place was short staffed...had to take my car off the trailer, unhook the trailer, and park it all on my own. On pickup, that was all done for me. I did ok with everything but it wasn't a process I was familiar with and could have used some help.

Great customer service, I felt very welcome. I will definitely use the in the future. My only one complaint is I still have no idea why I paid 2 days for a trailer that I returned within 10 hours. The woman in Victor could only tell me that it's an estimated time. That doesn't answer why.

On 11/19/2020 I reserved a 15 ft truck for pickup on 11/22/2020 in Crystal Lake, IL for a one way trip to Victor, NY. The day before my original pickup, I was contacted by Uhaul and my pickup location was changed to Fox Lake because of vehicle availability which was inconvenient, but understandable because I was told this reservation was now guaranteed. The next day, I was on my way to pickup the vehicle in Fox Lake, when I received another call from Brenda from the Crystal Lake location (less than an hour before my reserved pickup time) to inform me that they were unable to provide the vehicle I had requested at that location. Brenda was extremely unsympathetic and unwilling to take accountability for the situation and she told me that this wasn't Uhaul's fault or problem and that my only option was to drive to a location in Wisconsin or settle for a smaller truck with no reimbursement for my inconvenience. When I attempted to escalate the call to a manager, she told me she was the manager and that there was nothing she could do. Since I needed a vehicle that day, I had no options but to pickup a 10 ft truck in Palatine (which was in the opposite direction of Fox Lake). While on the way, I spent over an hour on the phone being transferred between 4 different uhaul associate because Brenda was not helpful or professional. At one point, I was connected with an associate at the Green Bay store who told me she had no clue how we had gotten connected, however she was able to issue my $50 reservation guarantee credit. I then spoke with someone in Phoenix named Jeff who was understanding and helpful and he connected me with a corporate manager named Janis who agreed to issue me an additional $50 VIP certificate for the time and gas that was wasted, and because of the inconvenience of not being provided the correct truck size. She explained that I could use that certificate towards the cost of this reservation and she also said I would be contacted by email by a regional manager sometime in the next couple days (which never happened). While at the Palatine store, the 2 store associates were much kinder and sympathetic and they both agreed that the situation was not handled correctly by Uhaul. However, they were unable to get the $50 certificate to process and they were unable to find a solution and made me wait while they were on hold for over an hour with Brenda and corporate. After a long wait, I was contacted by a Donna from corporate regarding the certificate and she was extremely rude and incompetent. She told me that she believed I shouldn't have received another certificate and that there was nothing she could do to help because the VIP certificates take 24 hours to activate. When I asked for proof that I actually was issued a certificate she told me "I just have to believe her" and that she couldn't confirm the certificate #. I was then told by her and the Palatine associate, that I had to return to a Uhaul store after 24 hours in order to use the certificate on this reservation. I finally was provided a truck after spending more than 2 hours in the Palatine store with no reimbursement and a smaller truck than I needed for my move. This resulted in me losing 3 hours of packing time and I was unable to fit everything that I needed to move. I returned the truck at the Victor Uhaul on 11/24/2020 with the expectation that they'd be able to process my $50 VIP certificate or at least provide a $50 credit, but the store associate (Mackenzie) was unable even after speaking with multiple managers. She told me that this wasn't her store's fault and that I needed to return to the Crystal Lake store or the Palatine store for an answer despite now being 4 states away in New York. Furthermore, she gave me a hard time about not returning $10 worth of moving blankets at their location (even though I had a family member return them for us at the Crystal Lake location and they were told we wouldn't have an issue). Mackenzie told me her store was already losing $10 from not receiving the blankets and that I was lucky they were accommodating that. This resulted in another hour of my time being wasted in a Uhaul store with no accountability or reimbursement that I was promised. The only answer she had was that I could use the certificate towards another Uhaul reservation which is not what I was told when it was issued. Overall, this was the worst customer experience that I have ever had. I will never use Uhaul again and going forward I will guarantee that none of my friends, family, or clients use your services as well. I was told multiple times by Uhaul associates "that this wasn't their fault or problem" and there was zero accountability across the board. Now I am having to figure out another way to move the rest of my stuff across the country and I am left with no reimbursement and a useless certificate.

I had to drive myself to this new location to pick up new truck after the ignition on the first truck (picked up at a different location and closer to where I was doing the move) malfunctioned. I lost a total of 3.5 hours and had to pick up the new truck in a location that added mileage to my trips. Aside from that, the attendant at this location was absolutely great, but my experience overall was very poor because of all the trouble with the defective first truck and how poorly roadside assistance handled the breakdown.

I would recommend they have more personnel and explain how to use the vehicle. It just seemed to me that the attendant wasn't customer friendly. He wanted me to go get the vehicle instead of him doing that. So he took another customer and then went to get my supplies. Then he had told me where the customer exit was, then drove the vehicle to another place.

Online return was a bit long and didn't explain you needed multiple pictures, so of the cargo area meant I opened it took the picture then closed it as it told me they needed a 2nd. Taking a picture to verify the Milage and fuel was very tight because of no tilt wheel

We used U-Haul Moving & Storage of Victor for storage. We stored our things there for almost eight months. The storage facility is nice and clean and climate controlled. We especially liked that we could drive our cars and rentals right in to unload, and again to load when we left. This is great in any weather and especially nice when it’s too hot or cold out. They even have a nice little section where you can take or leave items in good condition. We bought packing materials and ended up renting a 15-foot truck when we were ready to move our things. The people there are great, over the course of this year we have spoken to four employees there. Each person was kind, treated us with respect, and was very helpful. I highly recommend using U-Haul Moving & Storage of Victor.

Storage space offered was smaller than expected, a larger unit was not available though offered. I almost lost the contracted Moving Help and I had to go to another UHaul. It was a nightmare for me.

Nothing against the facility but if you pay for storage you should have 24 hour access to your own personal belongings instead of business hours. I’m sure there is a reason but this is for corporate.
