This location needs some help. Both times that I was there picking up and dropping off I had to wait because there was only one person at the counter and five customers waiting in line. Plenty of employees walking around but no help at the counter.

The equipment I was given was depilated. It was rusted through and not maintained. I asked for better equipment and they basically told me take it or leave it. It was in such bad shape that they did not do a physical damage check at all when renting it to me. This in my opinion did not represent U-Haul as an outstanding professional organization. I cannot in good conscience refer U-Haul, especially this location to others, I grade this experience a D-.

Overall the process was smooth. The person who helped me was very knowledgeable. However, every single other employee kept asking him question after question, as if it was everyone's first day on the job. It made for a longer than average check in. I found that a little frustrating. The truck did the job, but a dent in the fender / door made a nasty loud noise every time the door was opened or closed.

The truck REEKED of marijuana! I Left the windows open the entire time, to try to air it out. Gas tank WAS NOT full, as noted. I drove 15 miles total, it took 4.5 gallons to fill, before return ... 3.3 mpg?

I had arranged to use the Drive 24/7 pick up option. However, due to a reservation change the night before, by one of the employees, the pickup time was set for 7am. I was not aware of this, and found that the 24/7 (apparently mis-named) reservation only lasts for 30 minutes. When I showed up at 8am and tried to use the app, it showed my reservation cancelled. I finished the transaction the old fashioned way, but it took longer. The 30-minute window is not explained on the website, on my confirmation, or even on a brochure promoting the service. I suggest that be corrected. Why just a 30-minute window?

The gentleman that helped me was customer service oriented, professional and personable. The gentleman's name was Commadore. He listened to what I said and delivered what we needed. He was courteous and prompt. This man deserves a raise. Our contract number is 8977210. Our service was done at the Waterford Uhaul location on 3541 Highland Rd. Waterford MI 48328.

Had one minor problem with my reservation, but it was cleared up when I reached the U-Haul location. I had reserved a 10 foot truck, the day before a received a confirmation call saying I reserved a 15 foot truck...NOT. The U-Haul Rep said she would handle the problem, by changing the time of pick-up and I agreed. But when arriving, still had me reserved for a 15 foot, just didn't need all that truck. But the problem was resolved.

The check in person attempted to charge me an 18.00 cleaning fee. The rear of the truck was blown out with back pack blower and was broom clean, however there were foot prints in back as it rained early in the day. I spoke with the manager and he agreed to waive the fee. The idea that the truck would have to be immaculately clean is ridiculous and suggest shady behavior on the part up the guys checking in the trucks. On a 100 rental they were attempting to add on $18%.

The clerk wasn't well trained. The worst problem was that we had to hook up three trailers to get one that was useable. One had no working lights, the second one had a broken chain and finally the third one was okay. This site needs more help to check out and repair equipment. I wasted a lot of time there to just hook up a trailer and go.

When returning truck Zachary the manager approached me about some trash that was left. Zachary was very rude stating i need to get the trash right now. I got charged $40 for gas when I used barely 3 gallons. When I picked up the U-Haul it had just over 1/4 tank and at drop off it had just below the 1/4 line. I don’t think that equals $40 of gas and I doubt I’ll come back to this U-Haul location. We have used U-Haul for 3 moves now and this third will most likely be the last.

The gentleman who checked in our uhaul was exceptionally friendly and helpful. (I'm not sure of his name, but he was a father of 2 sons - one who was graduating highschool this year.) I would recommend this location to everyone!

I called to Pre-Register. Showed up at set time. 1 worker behind the counter. A very friendly Black gentleman. Female in the middle on the phone. Took care of her business and walked off. No Eye Contact No I'm off to do something. So I sat on your stack of box's. After about 10 to 15 minutes a fellow worker walked through. Your Very nice gentleman working the counter asked your fellow worker if he was working ? He kind of answered him and then opened the computer then called me to the counter. So much for pre-registered, I had to do most of all it again at the counter. I asked why I Pre-anything. Answer; Well that kind of resurveys what you want to rent. I understand with today's fraud and double checking the info needing to protect your equipment. With all those lovely sir valence cameras I would like to know if you ran the DVD Feeds of you front counter personal. Showed them to a management company. What would they have to say ? You made a BIG investment in my neighborhood buying the closed Kmart. I hope you do well !!! I ? Thanks

There was one person who tried to help me with an issue who was a complete PITA. Once he went away and someone with a remarkably different attitude arrived, the problem was solved and I was on my way. It's amazing what a shitty attitude can do for a business and customers.

I checked the gas gage upon entering the truck. It read just under 1/2 tank, however, by the time I exited the parking lot, the gage had dropped to just over 1/4 bull, loosing nearly 10 gallons of gas as indicated. I returned to the agency to correct the reading. I was told to refill the tank to the level indicated on the contract which would have been over $20.00 worth of gas. After some delay and negotiation, I did get the contract amended to show the proper level. My use was for 12 miles, I replaced 2 gallons of gas, which was satisfactory. However, the "erroneous gage indication makes me wonder what was going on. Was it a faulty sensor or some other factor?

My unit that I reserved was not available @ the location on Duck Lake Rd. that was my original pick up point. The man I was talking to on the phone had no solutions. I was very upset. Your Highland Rd. location came through for Me. You run Your business .in A funny way & I am glad I am done with it all. When people reserved a 10 ft. truck a month early, don't try to give them something different the day there suppose to pick it up. Your antics really upset Me.

It's a well known fact that U Haul has always given ME the choice of drop locations, rather than insisting I provide them with my drop location. Most business's don't allow their employees to call customers ass holes.

Every single employee should be fired at that location. I’ve done two tours to Afghanistan, and dealing with those ignorant, lazy and incompetent employees was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to deal with. Zero knowledge whatsoever about anything.

charged us for an extra 30 miles when we only used less then 20 miles because I didn't check it so got charged extra. 56 miles total they said we used from Hudson to Kenneth St in Pontiac 3 trips and back to uhaul in Waterford that not close to 56 miles

Not a positive experience with both renting out and returning. I planned to utilize the mobile pick up option but my rental was not in the parking lot. The team also couldn't find it when they went to look for it, so I had to wait an additional 45 minutes to get the truck. Upon returning, I went to utilize the mobile app (it was after closing time) but someone had come out to tell me get out and they would check in later - which of course, I was nervous about due to not having proof of the return mileage/gas, proof of what the rental looked like upon return, etc. I had a really poor experience in my rental here.

This was by far the worst experience I've ever had with U-Haul. This location is absolutely terrible and I would highly recommend you go to a different one. When I arrived at the location there was a line almost out the door and only one employee at the front desk. I was there for about 40 minutes to pick up a Truck I already had a reservation for. Also the employee who pulled the truck up in front for me was very rude and not only to me but also to his fellow co-workers and this employee did this in front of the entire line of customers. I wouldn't recommend renting a storage unit from this location either. The reason the line was out the door was because a they had allowed a woman to reserved a storage unit size that didn't exist and she showed up with a 26ft U-Haul truck and had no where to unload it. Do yourself a favor and drive an extra couple miles to a different storage unit or U-Haul location because this place is not worth the headache.

I was in this building for one hour and 40 minutes I had a deal that was made through the traffic department and they just couldn’t get it right they meaning Linda Cal kept working on it and getting it right and then when Linda was trying to finish it it would revert back she needs to be retrained and everybody who sits at the desk should know how to do everything that’s entailed with that job

Took over 2 week for you guys to deliver my ubox to my location. Didn't hear anything. Had to call customer service multiple times to figure anything out, and that didn't help to much

Took four different calls to the store to let them know I moved out and no longer needed my unit. received multiple notices saying I had late charges. every time I called I was on hold forever.

Everything went great...until it didn't. I tried to cancel my storage unit in store and was told I would receive a receipt by email. I never did, had to call and struggle to close it over the phone

Facilities could use updates compared to other uhaul facilities. The staff was courteous though always too busy. I had issues with ending my storage reservation despite conversations with 2 employees.
